Jason and Nanyana Reichert are living a life designed by music.  Whether Jason is touring with Arrested Development as JJ Boogie or jamming with his wife as Fire and the Knife, he and his wife eat, sleep and breath music.  Catching their live performance, I was struck by not only their talent but their professionalism.  Their music is their life.  It showed the other night, as I enjoyed an amazing evening of good food and great music at Smoke Ring BBQ in downtown Atlanta.    Loving each other And what they do not only provides purpose to their lives but clear goals for their family.  Along the way they are teaching their kids not only all the basics of math, science and language arts, they are also teaching them about life.  About music.  About how to design a life not just around music but whatever inspires them.  Jason and Nanyana are showing their kids that creating a life based on their passions and talents is not only possible, but with the right guidance it is almost assured.  While the kids have every option of career path, growing up in this environment and blessed with good genetics, it already seems apparent they may be headed down the same musical path.  A path in music that’s not sex, drugs and rock and roll, but rather family, faith, and friends.   Hear all their thoughts on this and much more in my recent conversations with Fire and the Knife.

Stay tuned to hear Mance Rayder on episode #37 on Blast Off with Johnny Rocket. About The Guest: Pete grew up in the government controlled hellhole that is New York City. He left 2 days after graduating high school. He spent a good bit of time in South Florida where he met his wife. In 2005 they moved to the Atlanta metro area where in 2007 he discovered the Ron Paul Liberty movement. This school of thought sent him down a rabbit hole of freedom-seeking culminating in the intellectual move to Voluntaryism. This radically capitalist school of thought permeates his life and led him to the teachings he now shares on the podcast entitled Free Man beyond the Wall. There are numerous podcasts out there that concentrate on the scholarly pursuits of economics and ethics. Most of them use language that goes over the head of the average person who is looking to grow in knowledge and in confidence. Pete talks like somebody that you would meet on the street because that’s where he’s from. More than anything he wants you to get excited and motivated about liberty. In November of 2017, Pete released his first book, “Freedom through Memedom – The 31-day Guide to Waking Up to Liberty.” It reached #4 in the Libertarian Section on Amazon.com. His new book, “The Kids are Not Alright – A Meme Inspired Primer on Encroaching Marxism in the West” was released in April 2018 and was the “#1 New Release” in 4 categories Pete has appeared on several podcasts including The Tom Woods Show, Dave Smith’s Part of the Problem, The Vin Armani Show and Lions of Liberty with Marc Clair. Pete is a frequent contributor to LibertarianInstitute.org About The Host: Johnny “Rocket” Adams was the creator and host of “The Johnny Rocket Launch Pad – Libertarian Rock n’ Roll Experience” and now “BLAST OFF with Johnny Rocket!” He’s also a musician, graphic artist, author, and former Chief Warrant Officer. Johnny spent his early days earning his stripes as a helicopter pilot in the U.S. Army. Back stateside, Johnny immersed himself in the classic works of Murray Rothbard, Henry Hazlitt, and Ludwig von Mises. From there the AnCap known as “Johnny Rocket” was born. Speaking truth to power from your cell phone tower, Johnny digests the philosophy of liberty and brings them to the man on the street on a weekly basis. Johnny Rocket was also the front-man of the rockabilly group “Hot Roddin’ Romeos” and puts pencil to paper with the critically acclaimed comic series “The Liberty Force.” New York Times best-selling author and podcast host Tom Woods calls Johnny Rocket “one of the most entertaining figures in the liberty movement.” --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/blastoff/support
