In 1989, shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall, Nina was on the street outside her workplace when she was approached by a man identifying himself as a police officer. He said that he needed to take her in for questioning in regard to her boyfriend, which made sense given the people her boyfriend was involved with at the time.
