This week on the podcast we're discussing the man, the legend, Josh Entner. We're also talking about decently well-known filmmaker, John Carpenter. Where most podcasts would settle for talking such stapples such as Halloween or the Thing; we here at the podcast decided to suck it up and cover John Carpenter's Vampires. We're also joined by Laura Magee of Skeptic Hangout fame (I know, never expected our reach to go that far either), as we tackle the nuances of this film and James Woods performance. But you'd have to be crazy to leave the talk at John Carpenter's Vampires, not when a sequel was released that was just too hot for theaters. We also talk it's intense straight to dvd sequel John Carpenter Presents Vampires: Los Muertos, a movie pronounced so accurately by Josh that Jesse presents him with thunderous applause the whole episode (thunderous applause may have been muted for easier listening but let Jesse know if you want it put back in). Will Bon Jovi be able to carry this film on his shoulders or will this movie be unwanted dead or alive? We dig deep into the lore of these movies loosely based on the John Steakley novel Vampire$ and try to figure out whether John Carpenter's Vampires, and John Carpenter Presenets Vampires: Los Muertos are Bloody Good Films.and remember, KEEP IT BLOODY BUDDIES!.......#johncarpenter #halloween #thething #mouthofmadness #princeofdarkness #escapefromnewyork #jameswoods #horror #action #vampires #johnsteakly #vampire$#bonjovi #halfwaythere #livingonaprayer #bloody #teeth #violence #podcast

A struggle for many of us - but especially ennea-type 3's - is with being deceitful. Yes, there is a type of deceitfulness where we are all quite aware that we are deliberately not telling or living the “truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth”, but the type of deceit we are speaking of here is actually deeper and is hidden from our consciousness, often until we are ‘shocked' into an awareness of it. And for most personality style 3's the deceit is fundamentally one of fooling themselves about their deep need to appear to be the best at whatever they do, to be the achiever/performer par excellence in order to believe they have value and are worthy of true love And 3's can often keep this pattern going for many years, all the while damaging their physical, emotional, relational and spiritual health. Listen in as John Steakley, founder of the non-profit Unbound Grace, shares what shocked him into an awareness of just how deeply and dangerously the deceit dynamic was running the show in his life and his gift of getting caught.
