The coast of Egypt is finally in sight, but the battle is just getting started for Jotaro Kujo and his friends. As the first half of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders comes to a close, the group takes a detour to a small island. There, Polnareff gets a lesson in grief and greed from the genie-like Stand Judgment. Only the timely return of an old friend is enough save Polnareff and roast this dangerous new enemy. Next, the group uses a submarine to cross the Red Sea in style. Deep beneath the waves, the High Priestess Stand merges with the submarine and takes the Joe-Bros by surprise. Even if our heroes can escape into open water, the High Priestess stands ready to give them a mouthful. We finished all 48 episodes of season 2 of Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I don't know what's more impressive: getting John to finally finish season 2 or getting Jessie to drink more coffee? What do the Sippers think about Jotaro and his group? What do you think about this season and how Bizarre is it really? Do not forget to try the Jojo Jam quiz. The year is 1999. Morioh, a normally quiet and peaceful town, has recently become a hotbed of strange activity. Jotaro Kujo, now a marine biologist, heads to the mysterious town to meet Josuke Higashikata. While the two may seem like strangers at first, Josuke is actually the illegitimate child of Jotaro's grandfather, Joseph Joestar. When they meet, Jotaro realizes that he may have more in common with Jousuke than just a blood relation. Along with the mild-mannered Kouichi Hirose and the boisterous Okuyasu Nijimura, the group dedicates themselves to investigating recent disappearances and other suspicious occurrences within Morioh. Aided by the power of Stands, the four men will encounter danger at every street corner, as it is up to them to unravel the town's secrets, before another occurs. https://myanimelist.net Spotify link: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/2qpJul4JOWQ5y8InvRM0rn?si=a878e21a46f14257
On today's episode, Cidnya and Jake look at the strange world of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! The pair talk about the saga of the Joestar family as they battle the lingering evil of Dio Brando and the relics that resulted in his rise to power. Primarily dealing with the first six JoJos of the franchise and briefly touching on the seventh and eighth protagonists of the series. Beginning in England they talk about the start of the feud as Jonathan Joestar learns of villainous intents of his foster brother Dio Brando that leads the former to the power of Hamon to battle the latter's newfound vampirism! After discussing the body-snatching shenanigans, the two talk about the pulpy adventure of wild misogynistic trickster Joseph Joestar as he takes of the beings behind vampirism, the mighty Pillar Men! With the nazi cyborg and the power of Hamon firmly behind them, Cid and Jake kinda talk about how the most popular part, “Stardust Crusaders” is far from the best but introduces elements to set it apart as Joseph introduces his grandson Jotaro Kujo to the concept of a Stand as they fight and defeat Dio, himself, once and for all. But while our hosts did not care too much for the crusaders, they both agree that Joseph's illegitimate son Josuke Higashikata and “Diamond is Unbreakable” as he and his friends live a semi-normal life while also investigating a serial killer and an ancient stand-giving arrow once owned by Dio! Breaking from Japan, our hosts found themselves in Italy discussing Giorno Giovanna, the son of Dio (well his head on Jonathan's body) as he rises through the ranks of the Italian underworld learning more about the properties of the arrow! Lastly the main JoJo our episode covers is Jolyne Cujoh, daughter of Jotaro, as she battles Father Pucci, Dio's disciple and priest at the Green Dolphin State Prison, in the final installment of the original JoJo universe! Jake briefly talks about his excitement for the reboot universe and to see Johnny Joestar collect the body parts of Jesus Christ. Also Jake investigates what happened to his brother after the events of GateSlashers 2, in the laziest way possible. For more of Jake talking about JoJo click here for his review of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle R, and for the context of the opening of GateSlashers 2 click here!

We're ready to talk about episodes 5 and 6 of Stone Ocean with our favorite protagonist, Jotaro Kujo. He will live forever and has a great history of dealing with various slimes, goops, and oozes. Today we're here to learn how to solve crime from crime-solving expert Jotaro Kujo. We meet Sheer Heart Attack, the first lil' bomber of the JoJo's universe. Jotaro has negative amounts of respect for Koichi, which given Jotaro's adolescence and history with other Stand users, is...fair. Turning a fatal bomb into a Sharper Image toy is actually pretty bad ass. And Koichi finally finishes going through puberty, so now his Stand is an ugly tiny man, as happens to all of us. -- JoJo’s Bizarre Explainer JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! Welcome to JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, a show about manifesting your personal will as a physical being and then trying to bang it out with them. Araki should switch gears and become a dj, that’s where the real career longevity is. The villain this week is a creepy teen boy and shockingly, none of us are into him. Jotaro Kujo remains unkillable to a degree that he breaks the plot. And we lay out the goth -> emo progression in meticulous detail because having strong opinions about emo kids is apparently part of our Brand. -- JoJo’s Bizarre Explainer JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! As befitting the final episode of Stardust Crusaders, we dive into a lot of callbacks: what is a soul pizza? What are the mechanics of vampirism in the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure universe? How does hamon even work? And most importantly: given what we know, what can we deduce about Avdol's pet chickens? Dio gets amazing lipstick, the gang encounters the actual Speed Wagon, and we learn that power over fundamental laws of the universe does not necessarily give you the upper hand over Jotaro Kujo punching you so hard that you explode. -- JoJo’s Bizarre Explainer JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! It's New Opening & Closing Credits Day! One of the best holidays of the Joestar season, and an opportunity to ask the only question that matters (in JoJo as in life): How Gay Are They? We meet Iggy, which gives us an excuse to delve into more of Joseph and Avdol's obvious LDR backstory, because talking about Iggy is...the worst. And apparently Jotaro Kujo has lived his entire, blessed life without ever figuring out what the Speedwagon Foundation does, or even is, which...I guess children are vicious even when they aren't trying. This episode is NOT the beginning of JoJo Dick Watch. Enyaba shows us how to work a crowd, Jotaro displays his incredible lung capacity yet again, Erina killed Danny, Polnareff clearly has a humilation kink, and hamon is still stupid. And yes yes there's a lot of stuff in this episode about zombies and fog and toilets but we learn something far more important than any of that: Jotaro Kujo liked to watch Columbo as a kid. -- JoJo’s Bizarre Explainer JoJo's Bizarre Adventure! It is time to once again appreciate that noblest of creatures: the stag beetle. As previously mentioned on this podcast, one of Kakyoin’s defining traits is an abiding love of cherries (other noted loves: the color green, being dramatic, Jotaro Kujo).
