Skip to 16:30 to jump into the interview! Summary I loved this conversation with Dr. Kim Hopkins and it is a must listen to or anyone who is actively dealing with PCOS, thinks they might have it or has a friend or partner who is living with it. During out talk, Dr. Kim Hopkins shares her personal and professional journey with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS), discussing the challenges she faced in the military and the stigma surrounding women's health issues. Personally, I walked away from this episode feeling so seen and inspired. She was able to share so much helpful information around self-advocacy and also the actual science of how PCOS affects your body. Dr. Kim Hopkins's Bio:Dr. Dawnkimberly “Kim” Hopkins served as a 30-year United States Military member. During her 30 yrs of service to her country, Dr. Hopkins served with the US Army and US Air Force. As a women's health nurse practitioner in the US Air Force, she noted a high number of her patients, particularly active duty members, were suffering from symptoms of PCOS that severely impacted their abilities to function effectively and efficiently within their occupations at their home duty stations and during their military deployments.Noting that these symptoms greatly impacted the total quality of life of these individuals, Dr. Hopkins began her quest to find answers and solutions by obtaining her PhD in nursing science with a focus on PCOS in the military. She has published works on PCOS in the military, while completing a post-doctoral fellowship with NIH in the Office of Research on Women's Health (ORWH). During her post-doctoral fellowship, Dr. Hopkins published a NIH/ORWH-supported PCOS information booklet and participated in working-groups to help further the cause of PCOS initiatives. She has published works that have assessed the relationship between PCOS and obesity, as well as PCOS and pain. Dr. Hopkins is passionate about facilitating and supporting PCOS endeavors, especially for early-stage investigators, to continue to develop relevant, patient-centered knowledge and interventions related to PCOS. As a dedicated advocate, she was a member of the International PCOS Network that updated the 2023 International evidence-based guideline for the assessment and management of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome and is a scientific research committee co-Chair on the Patient Advisory Board of the PCOSChallenge -the national PCOS association. Dr. Hopkins' is married to Felix Hopkins' who is a retired Navy pilot. They have 3 children, Anthony, Tanner and Reign. Dr. Hopkins' is also the caregiver for her mother, who is a retired Army Quartermaster. In 1944, scientists in the employ of the United States Military were on the cusp of the most consequential discoveries in history. Fearing that the US might use their invention — an atomic fusion bomb — to hold the world hostage, a few of its creators attempted to leak its specifications to the Soviet Union. One tried to stop its construction altogether. This is his story — but in our Pod Universe, nothing is quite so simple as a spy drama, is it?It's Dalton's first solo pitch of the Pod Universe, and like Dylan's space opera, it's a big swing! Will this historical sci-fi thriller capture the interest of the Pod Universe faithful? In this episode I sat down with Dylan Bain - father, husband, men's group leader, history buff, and more. We dove into how industrialization created the environment for feminism to later take hold.Listen in to learn about how industry quietly and slowly began dehumanizing society, why women lost meaningful work, the hidden costs of success, how women blamed the wrong people, why America is anti-child, and what it will take to restore balance, sanity, and partnership between the sexes.Such a great conversation with Dylan, enjoy.Timestamps:00:00:00 - 00:00:35 Episode Trailer and Intro00:00:35 - 00:01:40 Dylan Bain Introduction00:01:40 - 00:03:25 Dylan Bain's Background and Mission00:03:25 - 00:05:03 I married someone way above my league00:05:03 - 00:07:25 Industrialism caused feminism00:07:25 - 00:10:22 Why did women, not men, have to do laundry?00:10:22 - 00:12:40 What created the shift to the industrial era and hence, feminism00:12:40 - 00:15:52 Industrialization put women out of a job00:15:52 - 00:17:42 The Declaration of Sentiments and Declaration of Independence read the same 00:17:42 - 00:19:28 Bacon's rebellions and feminists made the same mistake00:19:28 - 00:21:53 Did industrialists know the revolution was dehumanizing?00:21:53 - 00:23:54 How were people in the 1950s okay with being dehumanized00:23:54 - 00:26:27 Do the Wealth of Nations and Communism have a connection?00:26:27 - 00:28:30 The difference between how men and women work00:28:30 - 00:29:57 To be successful, do women need to work like men?00:29:57 - 00:31:35 World war turned men into psychopaths00:31:35 - 00:34:27 What caused the death of women in the Bayview massacre00:34:27 - 00:37:43 In 1945, The USA was the last superpower standing00:37:43 - 00:39:11 Why were women going insane during the industrial revolution00:39:11 - 00:40:00 Gossiping is a defense mechanism?00:40:00 - 00:43:37 How the automotive industry made loneliness worse00:43:37 - 00:44:22 Feminism grew out of jealousy00:44:22 - 00:47:04 Was the birth control pill born of Capitalists' greed?00:47:04 - 00:48:16 Is feminism secretly a way to manipulate women?00:48:16 - 00:49:16 How did we get so obsessed with profits and productivity?00:49:16 - 00:50:33 This is why GDP is so misleading00:50:33 - 00:52:48 United States Military isn't really good at fighting00:52:48 - 00:54:34 This company rolled out 'Freezing Eggs' as benefits for women00:54:34 - 00:56:12 There are not a lot of female role models00:56:12 - 00:57:48 How do we fix things?00:57:48 - 01:00:37 Is leaving home at 18 a scam?01:00:37 - 01:01:54 Kids should be seen and not heard?01:01:54 - 01:04:26 Our education system was designed to create good factory workers01:04:26 - 01:06:43 There's no bad choices, only trade-offs01:06:43 - 01:08:02 Can you handle having kids while studying medicine?01:08:02 - 01:10:16 America is an anti-child society; they hate kids01:10:16 - 01:12:27 Should a neurosurgeon have kids?01:12:27 - 01:13:59 What America's ugly playgrounds says about how they see kids01:13:59 - 01:14:26 Here's why liberal feminists are the most mentally unstable01:14:26 - 01:15:21 Final thoughts and key takeaways01:15:21 - 01:15:59 Outro___________________________If you found some value today then help me spread the word! Rogers for America with Lt. Steve Rogers – When people believed in the DEI philosophy and supported an agenda that was not in the best interest of the military, it became problematic. It made us look weak. The U.S. troop withdrawal from Afghanistan appeared as a complete surrender, weakening perceptions of military strength. America's military has evolved to be the warfighting machine it once was. Peace through Strength!

Send us a textThe most controversial issue that President Clinton tackled right off the back was changing the policy in the United States military banning homosexuals from serving. It would be met with opposition by Bob Dole, Strom Thurmond, Phil Gramm and the Joint Chiefs' of Staff. In fact, even the Democratic Chairman of the Armed Services Committee, Sam Nunn, was opposed to the change. But Bill Clinton insisted that the issue would be addressed. After months of debate and study the policy that would be agreed to for years was "Don't Ask don't Tell" it would stand until President Barak Obama dropped the policy and the ban for good during his Presidency. What made this issue interesting , at least for me, and I hope you will pick up in this episode, is that the opposition did not jump on this issue in an attempt to politicize the problem. It was there, and the issue hurt the President in those years, but the Republicans tried to present their opposition in ways that did not inflame the public any more than it already was upset. It was a very different way of acting than what we have seen in modern times. Especially, with an issue as easy to politicize as this one was. It is an interesting episode in which we hear from all the major players, from Bob Dole, and Bill Clinton, to the Joint Chiefs, Strom Thurmond, Phil Gramm, Don Rickles, and countless others all trying to find a proper solution to the issue. It's pretty bad. Some would actually call this fascism.“The move comes as the Trump administration embraces venture capital and tech industries, including VC-backed startups like Anduril, Palantir and others who have begun to take root as major players in the defense industrial base. The Trump administration's nominee to take the reins as the Army's No. 2 two civilian, Michael Obadal, is an Anduril employee.” ~Dealbreaker.comJust another example of the mass privatization happening rapidly under the new administration with virtually no coverage in either the left or rightwing media. My beauty secret for skin, hair and nails is Native Path Collagen! Readiness is the ability to close with and destroy any enemy, anywhere, anytime. The role of the Sergeant Major of the Army is to ensure readiness. Command Sergeant Major Dan Dailey was the 15th Sergeant Major of the Army and the youngest Soldier to ever hold the position. Today, he is the Vice President of Noncommissioned Officer and Soldier Programs at the Association of the United States Army.SMA Dailey joined Creator and Host Fran Racioppi to define what it really means for the United States Army to be “ready” to fight and win our nation's wars. To do so, they went deep on each of the components of readiness, including: Manning and the impacts of the recruiting crisis the Army has endured over the past several years. Training and the importance of the Combat Training Centers and our combined exercises across the components and with our allies.Equipping for the next fight and why the current procurement processes must change if America expects to remain ahead in the innovation race.Leader Development including why softening the messaging of warfighting hurts mission focus and how the Army is closing the experience gap as the Global War on Terror generation of Soldiers retire. They also cover the important mission of the Association of the United States Army and how as the largest organization supporting our Soldiers their work only continues to grow. America, not the Army, is going to decide how we do that.” “The only more expensive thing than fighting a war is losing one.”“Our first mission as the United States Military is to deter. "Don't Ask, Don't Tell", it's a phrase that has become pretty infamous since its first introduction back in 1994. It was a policy that seemed to allow homosexuals to be able to serve in the United States Military, but sadly it would cause more harm than good and indirectly lead to one of the most tragic and brutal murders in Military history. The Biden Administration continues to say publicly that no one should escalate the current conflict going on in the Middle East but Israel, Hamas and Hezbollah also continue to trade blows. Both the United States and Israel are weighing potential responses to attacks on U-S military bases and the ongoing rocket assaults into Israel. Iran is also threatening to attack Israel directly for the killing of a Hamas and Hezbollah leader just days apart causing more fears of widening war in the region. FOX's Eben Brown speaks with Morgan Ortagus, Former State Department Spokesperson & Founder of Polaris National Security, who says the conflict has already escalated with more attacks on United States Military bases in the Mideast. During D-Day operations in World War II, British and American engineers constructed two completely artificial HARBORS, the remains of which can be seen to this day. Meanwhile, in Gaza, an immensely richer and more powerful United States Military cannot build a simple PIER without it (in the immortal words of Monty Python) burning down, falling over and sinking into the swamp.
