He founded Amarr's Heart Foundation to honor his son's legacy through the motto K.I.N.D. (Kind Interaction Negates Destruction). Arron is a vocal advocate for victims, identifying gaps in the city's support ecosystem and showing us the need for proactive, grassroots-level intervention rather than reactive measures. While his son's murder remains unresolved, he emphasized the community's power in changing that. On this episode of Truth & Justice Show, we sit down with Brenden Corbett, a candidate for Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, to discuss one of the most urgent challenges facing the criminal justice system today: the cycle of repeat crime and drug offenses. Corbett explains how many individuals exit the jail system only to return shortly after, trapped in a revolving door driven by addiction, lack of support, and failed reintegration. Rather than focusing solely on incarceration, he outlines a vision that prioritizes accountability paired with real solutions—helping individuals coming out of custody successfully assimilate back into society. The conversation explores public safety, rehabilitation, and the role law enforcement can play in breaking long-standing cycles that harm individuals, families, and communities across Los Angeles County. This episode offers a thoughtful look at how addressing reentry and recovery is essential to reducing crime and building safer neighborhoods.

Today’s Topics: 1, 2, 3, 4) Father Charles Murr joins Terry Gospel – Mark 3:1-6 – Jesus entered the synagogue. There was a man there who had a withered hand. They watched Jesus closely to see if He would cure him on the sabbath so that they might accuse Him. He said to the man with the withered hand, “Come up here before us.” Then He said to the Pharisees, “Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than to destroy it?” But they remained silent. Looking around at them with anger and grieved at their hardness of heart, Jesus said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He stretched it out and his hand was restored. The Pharisees went out and immediately took counsel with the Herodians against Him to put Him to death. Memorial of Saint Agnes, Virgin and Martyr Saint Agnes, pray for us! Bishop Sheen quote of the day
On this episode of the Mothers Justice Radio Show, guest host Chukundi Salisbury sits down with members of the Washington Coalition for Police Accountability for a powerful, unfiltered conversation about police violence, accountability, and the urgent need for systemic reform. The discussion centers on the killing of L.J. Causey, Jr.—a father of three—and exposes the stark gap between police de-escalation policies and real-world practice. Coalition leaders Elaine Simons and Sonia Joseph share deeply personal perspectives shaped by the loss of their own sons, while outlining concrete legislative priorities for the 2026 session, including independent prosecutors, Attorney General investigations, stronger standards for law-enforcement leadership, and limits on police tactics that erode public trust. This episode is both a tribute to lives lost and a call to action—highlighting how impacted families are leading statewide efforts to change policy, demand transparency, and protect future generations. If you care about justice, public safety, and accountability in Washington State, this is a conversation you need to hear in full.
This episode of Mothers Justice Radio goes beyond headlines and soundbites. In a candid, wide-ranging conversation, Seattle City Councilmember Rob Saka joins the show to discuss public safety, police accountability, and the complex realities communities are navigating right now — from policy decisions at City Hall to the lived experiences of families most impacted by violence and the justice system. Rather than quick answers, this episode leans into nuance: how accountability, prevention, community trust, and governance intersect — and where the hard conversations still need to happen. If you care about where Seattle is headed, how decisions are being made, and what real accountability looks like beyond talking points, this is a conversation worth hearing in full.
In this powerful and deeply personal episode of the Mothers Justice Show, guest host Chukundi Salisbury Sr. sits down in studio with his brother, journalist and media founder Omari “Big O” Salisbury, for a wide-ranging conversation that moves seamlessly between legacy, accountability, and the urgent need for truth in public storytelling. The discussion traces the launch of The Big O Show and its place within the Converge Media ecosystem—but quickly turns to the unresolved trauma of the 2020 Seattle protests and the devastating case of Antonio Mays Jr., the 16-year-old who was killed in the CHOP. Omari recounts, in detail, his recent court testimony and the shocking revelation that he unknowingly captured Antonio on video days before his death—footage that challenges the City of Seattle's long-standing narrative and raises profound questions about justice, memory, and whose voices are allowed to be heard. This episode is not performative, and it is not sanitized. It is a raw, principled conversation about grief, integrity, media responsibility, and what it means to stand on truth even when it comes at a cost. Grounded in family, community, and lived experience, this is an essential listen for anyone who wants to understand the real human stakes behind headlines, protests, and policy. Listen in full to hear the stories that were nearly erased—and why telling them still matters.
This week, host Chukundi Salisbury (filling in for Reverend Walden) sits down with his mentor, the influential Representative Dawn Mason, for a profound discussion on community leadership and activism. Rep. Mason, who recently received the "Key to the City," emphasizes that her civic honors represent the collective work of all those she supports. The episode focuses on the urgency of educational justice, with Mason detailing her work with the Rainier Valley Leadership Academy and her vision for ensuring every child is reading at grade level by third grade. A major highlight is the exciting news about a victory for Seattle's youth: the SPD's Mounted Patrol was disbanded, and its gear, including saddles, was transferred to the Buffalo Soldiers program at the Red Barn Ranch. This initiative, now partially funded for six years by the Family & Education Levy, offers constructive, culturally relevant programs to our children. Don't miss this inspiring conversation about holding leaders accountable and building a better future!
In this powerful full episode of the Mothers Justice Show, Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes joins the conversation for a candid, wide-ranging discussion that moves from personal history to public responsibility. Chief Barnes reflects on his journey to leadership, shares clear data on recent reductions in violence and property crime, and speaks honestly about accountability, trust, and the complicated relationship between law enforcement and Black communities. The episode goes beyond headlines, exploring healing, prevention, and what real community safety looks like when leadership, data, and lived experience intersect. It closes with a forward-looking vision for Seattle's future—one rooted in transparency, partnership, and the belief that lasting change is only possible when communities are fully engaged in the work.
Chukundi Salisbury fills in again and brings his thoughts and updates to a discussion about Police accountability in Seattle. Whether Garfield High School should have a security officer and more.
