Wow... I'm just gonna throw this out here: I don't have any problems with being Black. Not to where these new "leaders" can just unconditionally receive my unwavering support. This episode we're talking talking about author Jason Wilson's new book The Man The Moment Demands: Master the 10 Characteristics of the Comprehensive Man. Besides that Wood reacts to hearing about new Black leader 19 Keys and the latest therapy from Dr. Cheyenne Bryant. If we've got to turn to these individuals to help us through our respective journeys... Well, let's just focus on brother Wilson's helpful new book. Whaddup doe! On a personal note, while searching the podcast app I use for podcasts on SPOUSAL GRIEF, I found the offerings to be pretty mid. So, I courageously tried to share some personal victories and hurdles that I've experienced over the third month since my wife passed away three months ago. WIDOWS/WIDOWERS - the world is not going to allow you to step away for the time and space you desperately need to grieve and get yourself together. Current couples - there are a couple tasks you really need to take care of ASAP in case you or your spouse was to die today. Death is a part of life, so you might as well plan for it fully while you're both living. The surviving spouse, family members, and especially children will thank you for taking care of your business while you were here.

Originally uploaded June 11, re-edited September 5. Chris Holman welcomes Dwan Dandridge, Chief Executive Officer · Black Leaders Detroit, Detroit, MI. Dwan was among the interesting guests that MBN didn't catch up with while conducting 50 interviews at this year's Mackinac Policy Conference on Mackinac Island at the Grand Hotel. Chris had several topics he wanted to find out from Dwan in this conversation: What is Black Leaders Detroit? Are black entrepreneurs still facing disparities in accessing capital? How much support have we provided for black entrepreneurs? Who is our ideal member? Where does our funding come from? How can someone become a member? Leading up to #MPC24 Dwan was among a group of people that were riding their bikes 377 miles throughout Michigan to raise money and awareness about Black entrepreneurs. Dwan Dandridge led the effort. “To figure out what does it look like to really be a good neighbor to other people in this great state of Michigan,” Dandridge said. “We're finding that once we get in front of each other, sit down and have a conversation, we find out that we have way more in common and we're looking for ways to make sure that we're intentionally working together.” Dandridge said the bikers met with groups along the way in various cities to talk about equity, race, and how to move past barriers which often lead to division. Dandridge then attended the Mackinac Policy Conference. For more on his interaction with the Detroit Regional Chamber over the past few years go to: https://www.detroitchamber.com/?s=Dandridge About Black Leaders Detroit: AN EQUITABLE SOLUTION FOR DETROIT In Detroit, 80% of the population are of African descent, but only a chosen few have been funded to lead the city's “comeback.” Black Leaders Detroit will change that by challenging 1 million people to give at least $1/week to elevate changemakers of African descent in the city. Fully aware that Detroiters of African descent have never lacked creativity, viable economic strategies, entrepreneurial zeal, or innovative business models, Black Leaders Detroit aims to diminish the disparities by providing the one thing that has been lacking: financial support. Donate to become a member that supports businesses led by people of African descent and builds community. » Visit MBN website: www.michiganbusinessnetwork.com/ » Watch MBN's YouTube: www.youtube.com/@MichiganbusinessnetworkMBN » Like MBN: www.facebook.com/mibiznetwork » Follow MBN: twitter.com/MIBizNetwork/ » MBN Instagram: www.instagram.com/mibiznetwork/

Some Black leaders from the Chicago area are urging others to ditch Democrats and vote Republican. After Wednesday's GOP breakfast outside the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee Wednesday, Republican Cook County State's Attorney candidate Bob Fioretti made his case to the media that he will bring back law and order. On July 4, 1881, educator and activist Booker T. Washington established the Tuskegee Normal and Industrial Institute in Tuskegee, Alabama, now known as Tuskegee University. Washington took on the role of the institution's first principal, overseeing the inaugural class held in a modest one-room church. It wasn't until a year later that the school's first official building was constructed. Determined to build a lasting legacy, Washington sought out the most qualified Black educators to join the faculty, among them the renowned scientist George Washington Carver, who joined the school in 1896. While only 30 men and women made up the school's inaugural class, Tuskegee University's influence and legacy has since flourished. Today, the university is the largest producer of African Americans with degrees in math, science, and engineering in Alabama, according to the school's website. Learn more about your ad choices. Welcome back to PPM. Diddy Declassified Dossier #1. Sub to the Patreon to support the show & access upcoming "Diddy Declassified" exclusives: patreon.com/ParaPowerMapping Our objectives: expose Sean “Diddy” Combs's confidential informant credentials examine evidence indicating the Diddler's sex trafficking ring is an intel op run the politically-motivated Tupac assassination back w/ new insights culled from the snowballing Diddy scandals & the Keefe D arrest use the Diddler as a lens w/ which to magnify the Zio powerbloc in the music industry & his enmeshment w/in it use all of the above to sketch the lengthy history of fed law enforcement & intel's efforts to infiltrate, suppress, & break up black liberation, civilian defense, communist, & nat'list movements in the US & abroad, examining the machinations & depredations of the elaborate anti-comm counterintel apparatus that maintains the power structure & status quo thru counterinsurgent, cultural programming, & mass mind control means In Dossier #1, we embark w/ a brief convo about SLANK's musical upbringing, genesis as an MC, & rev potentialities of music... From there, we properly contextualize the Diddler op within the COINTELPRO & F B I War on Black Leaders continuum; SLANK shares about the Hoover black heritage rumors & the counterfeiting dep't in the Bureau that astroturfed & deliberately stirred up shit & feuds within various civil rights & black liberation mvmts from the Harlem Renaissance to the letter sent to MLK Jr purportedly written by a fellow "clergyman" (read: white F B I staff member snake) pressuring him to commit suicide; the Hoover proclivity for kompromat collection & his fabled files; we talk the Clinton Crimeboss's Telecomm Act, music industry corporatization, & its relationship to this tale; we unpack the Ayanna Jackson incident, the NY Studio shooting of Tupac, & the coincidental surveilling presence of feds & informants at both the Tupac & Biggie crime scenes... Kicking off our hard-hitting bio of Sean “Puffy” Combs, we examine his Air Force serviceman Dad's biz ties to Frank Lucas; his likely gang warfare murder when Combs was 3 yrs old; Diddy's internship w/ Andre Harrell at Uptown, his abortive Howard U career & sex assault allegations that date back to his collegiate party promoting days in DC; his possibly incentivized, rumored gay relationship w/ Zio music exec Clive Davis; & we conclude Dossier #1 w/ what may well be an exclusive PPM revelation re Diddy, namely our contention that the Diddler may have been caught up in a major child sex abuse scandal at the Catholic academy he attended as a teen, the implications of which are immense... That before Diddy became the Diddler, he may have been Diddled himself... And if not, there's a strong chance that he landed on the feds' radar or even established contact w/ them at that early age—possibly the beginning of his suspected confidential informant relationship. And much, much more in b/w. I'm privileged to be joined by a scholar w/ a breadth of knowledge re these topics that far exceeds my own. Helping to lead this investigation is someone who can speak to the vitality of hip hop & its revolutionary potential from a place of personal, lived experience. I'm psyched to welcome SLANK to the show—SLANK is a fearsome MC & one part of SLANK & Sunny Ture (recent release: "Nation Time Vol. 2"). SLANK is also a deep historian & a law school grad. The ep opens w/ SLANK's track “Battle Kings”, so if you dig, make sure to check out his projects & give him a follow on Twitter @DabSquad_Slank. Also, a huge shout out to Robert Voyvodic, who took SLANK's & my scribbled chicken scratch Diddler power map & rendered it in glorious, mechanic network graph detail. Def give Robert a follow on Twitter at @rvoy__ & bring him your digital artwork & design needs. Tracks: | SLANK - "Battle Kings" | | Prince Philip Mitchell - "If We Can't Be Lovers" | | Tupac - "Trapped" | | R. Kelly - "I Can't Sleep Baby (If I) Remix" |

(AURN News) - Principal Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer held talks with Black civil rights leaders at the White House recently to discuss the ongoing crisis and civil unrest in Haiti, the White House said. The goal of the meeting was to have a dialogue and review U.S. efforts to provide support to the Caribbean nation as it grapples with political collapse and gang violence. Since October 2022, the United States has provided more than $170 million in aid to Haiti. By contrast, the Biden administration and Congress have directed $75 billion in assistance to Ukraine since Russia's invasion in February 2022, according to the Council on Foreign Relations. The CFR notes that this does not include war-related spending from the U.S. Haiti has faced a leadership vacuum after the assassination of its last elected president, Jovenel Moïse, in 2017. The country has not held a presidential election since 2016. And now gangs have seized control over large swaths of the capital, Port-au-Prince. The impoverished nation has seen intermittent civil unrest in recent years, prompting repeated international calls for a resolution to the political turmoil and gang violence crippling economic activity. Both schools are focused on getting young children ready for school success. Prior to One City, Kaleem was the President and CEO of the Urban League of Greater Madison in Madison, WI and chair of the National Urban League's Education Committee. In 2001, Kaleem commissioned the nation's first comprehensive study of high school graduation rates in the United States, which resulted in graduation rates being embedded in the nation's No Child Left Behind law and forever becoming a measurement of the productivity of American education. In 2002, he was appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Education Rod Paige to serve on the Independent Rules Panel that advises the U.S. Congress on the evaluation and implementation of Title I (then referred to as No Child Left Behind). From 2002-2004, he led a coalition of education, business, philanthropy and community leaders in Washington, DC to secure the passage of landmark legislation that created the nation's first federally funded school voucher program and has since provided more then $900 million net new federal funding for school reform efforts encompassing DC's traditional public, public charter and private schools. In 2009, he was appointed by the administration of President Barack Obama to serve as an expert reviewer for his signature ""Race to the Top"" national education reform initiative. The Context of White Supremacy hosts the weekly Compensatory Call-In. We encourage non-white listeners to dial in with their codified concepts, new terms, observations, research findings, workplace problems or triumphs, and/or suggestions on how best to Replace White Supremacy With Justice ASAP. This weekly broadcast examines current events from across the globe to learn what's happening in all areas of people activity. We cultivate Counter-Racist Media Literacy by scrutinizing journalists' word choices and using logic to deconstruct what is reported as "news." We'll use these sessions to hone our use of terms as tools to reveal truth, neutralize Racists/White people. #ANTIBLACKNESS 27 years after the murder of hip hop legend and Victim of White Supremacy Tupac Shakur, enforcement officers finally made an arrest for the murder. Duane “Keffe D” Davis was charged with ordering the murder of Shakur in 1996. Gus thinks it's vital to remember that Shakur was under FBI surveillance [COINTELPRO] at the time of his murder. Maybe re-read former C.O.W.S.'s guest John Potash's book, The FBI's War Against Tupac Shakur and Black Leaders. We also discuss the Racist abuse of 16-year-old Grace Clay, who was terrorized by her White volleyball teammates in Idaho. The White girls posted images of Clay online, called her racist slurs, and "punished" her for not "picking cotton." We also hear about the return of US soldier Travis King. he absconded to North Korea and alleged that he was subject to Racist abuse in the US military. In relatively short order, North Korean officials sent Mr. King packing back to White people. #TheCOWS14Years INVEST in The COWS – http://paypal.me/TheCOWS Cash App: https://cash.app/$TheCOWS CALL IN NUMBER: 605.313.5164 CODE: 564943#

Friends, I'm excited to bring you a throwback episode of The Breakdown that originally aired on August 12, 2022. You know, it's really astonishing to me that in America, when we look at the top 50 most represented people with monuments, half of them were enslavers. It's unacceptable. But what's the solution? Waiting for others to create monuments for us isn't going to cut it. We need to take action and build them ourselves. That's what I address in this episode - specifically, building monuments to honor the legacies of Malcolm X and Nat Turner. Take a listen and let me know your thoughts. To listen to today's FULL EPISODE of The Breakdown go now to Apple Podcasts or Spotify and search for “The Breakdown with Shaun King.” Subscribe there for FREE and listen to the whole podcast. If you are already on Apple Podcasts or Spotify, please subscribe, listen, share, leave reviews, and listen daily to the entire episode. The more of it you listen to, the better it is for us. Love and appreciate you all. Shaun Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
