The public can start seeing the buffalo when the renovated Burlington Prairie Forest Preserve opens on May 1st.

The festival is in its 76th year, but the Geneva Chamber of Commerce says this year there will not be a parade. The Chamber says it recognizes the importance of evolving the festival wisely, and instead of a parade, there will be “family-friendly” events that day in downtown Geneva to highlight the area. The Swedish Days festival schedule is online at genevachamber.com.
