This Christmas season, many of us are carrying more than gifts and traditions. We're carrying fear, weariness, uncertainty, and unanswered questions. We sing the familiar words, “the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight,” but what do they really mean when the world feels anything but peaceful? In this special Christmas reflection, Jonathan Youssef explores the meaning behind this beloved hymn lyric and the birth of Jesus, the Light of the World who meets us in our deepest hopes and fears.Join Jonathan to reflect on:Why true peace and security are found in Christ aloneHow Jesus' grace transforms fear into lasting hopeWhat our response to Christ means for our lives todayIf you're searching for hope at Christmas, longing for peace in uncertain times, or wondering where God is in the midst of fear, this episode offers a gentle, gospel-centered reminder: Christ has come and He is enough. For questions or to connect with the Candid community, visit LTW.org/Candid. In Hang in There – You Are Not Alone, Dr. Michael Youssef exposes Satan's strategy of fear and intimidation, reminding believers that these weapons are powerless unless we allow them to control us. Using Acts 18, he reveals how even the Apostle Paul—bold and battle-worn—faced deep fear, discouragement, and loneliness in Corinth. But God did not leave him. Instead, He sent faithful friends, fruitful ministry, divine encouragement, and supernatural protection. Dr. Youssef calls believers to stand firm in the face of spiritual warfare, refusing to retreat. God is still in control, and He will never abandon those who trust in Him. This message calls us to reject fear, repent of doubt, and intercede for boldness—because the God of all comfort is with us.

The whole episode's "thesis" is about meeting a new friend and breaking through that second layer of getting to know them better. A perfect way to set up a few different dynamic pairs, only for MPK to return next week and make an entire episode about Che and Miranda making farm animal noises in Carrie's kitchen. In this episode, Charlotte and Harry attend a part at LTW's house and are nervous about the lack of diversiy in their own friend groups, Miranda and Naya get deep about the benefits and sacrifices that come with having children, and Carrie meets Seema, instantly offends her, and then yells at her for accidentally breaking a stupid picture frame. It's the end of an era. In the series finale of And Just Like That, Carrie finally embraces being on her own, in a nod to the original premise of Sex and the City. After attending a lavish bridal fashion show, LTW finds inspiration to weather the highs and lows of her marriage. Seema dismantles years of programming that told her she must be married. Harry and Charlotte remain couples goals. Miranda's first stint hosting Thanksgiving dinner doesn't go as planned. In what we are led to believe is the very last bit of Sex and the City media ever (for now), Carrie eats at a weird Japanese restaurant, talks to Charlotte about the idea of being alone, passes out pies to everybody, and listens to some very good Barry White. Charlotte gets railed (thank GOD), and in a notably human way, explains what loving someone means. LTW considers leaving her husband because he's sad for a week, and has a confrontation with Marion (a man!) over legitimately nothing, Seema considers whether marriage is something she wants or something that society has conditioned her into wanting, and Miranda throws a Thanksgiving for a group of people that are like what if a Fox News AI bot wrote “Brooklyn Queer People” as a character. And then…it's over. Folks, we go long, and have a lot of thoughts and feelings. We'll tell you this: WE are not going anywhere. The time has come. It's the LAST EVER episode of And Just Like That… and back by popular demand is Rosemary Mac Cabe. AND the man you've all been asking for- Dave- is finally forced to reckon with this show. Yes, we absolutely do spend two hours discussing every single moment of this 34 minute episode. The episode Cathy mentioned about Michael Patrick King was on this week's Fixing Famous People. Cathy has gone back and watched the fashion show scene for the third time and no it doesn't look like they made any nefarious changes to LTW's conversation with Charlotte in the post-edit. She really chose Herbert. Find Rosemary Mac Cabe on substack here and on Instagram here. We also touch on LTW's blink-and-you-miss-it appearance, Anthony's cold feet and Harry's bad attitude. We did it, ya'll! We survived Aidan 3.0 and we couldn't feel any lighter, but before that we discuss the Epstein files (sorry); the new film Sorry, Baby (love); and the MCU (sorry...again). And then we get into it all: age gap relationships, smelly boys, our hopes for LTW, Charlotte's vertigo, our continued love of Joy, and Duncan Duncan Duncan. Take a listen! And Just Like That begins at 56:40
Folks, you won't believe how many consecutive meals are made and not eaten in this episode, and the consequences are disastrous. In an episode in which the B, C, D thru Z stories shouldn't have even existed, LTW just says “Ozempic” twice, Joy reveals an incredible bit of self-centeredness upon Miranda's alcoholic confession, Charlotte and Harry literally just waddle and fall down, Seema stinks (literally), Anthony finally stands up for himself with the woman of the amazing disappearing accent, and then…there's the actual story between Carrie and Aidan. Jealousy, insecurity, finally sort of confronting some things (in way too quick a window, but, alas), and a surprising finale. And…we have four episodes left to go? Okay, LFG! Thanks for listening and supporting, and if you'd like to go even HARDER on us, join us for exclusive podcasts and videos and Discord chats at patreon.com/kevinandjon, or just toss us a nice lil' rate and review on your podcast app or Spotify!
So sorry we're late but our anger here was worth waiting for! Miranda is haunted by a bottle of gin that for some reason has Steve's voice, Charlotte is groovy with LTW possible screwing her editor and Seema starts sleeping with her smelly gardner. ENJOY!
Aidan is in town and even HBOMax knows it's a horror show, but before that we get into the depths of what we don't know (Max Original Programming) and what we do know (Bravo). And then we get into it all - Charlotte's vertigo, LTW's papaya crush, Miranda and Joy's big little step, and whatever the hell Miss Bradshaw is doing. Oh and crystal deodorant.
Carrie attempts to work on notes with Duncan while Aidan is in town for a visit. Seema learns of a potential deal breaker with Adam. Miranda contemplates whether she is merely "alcoholish." Executive producers Michael Patrick King, Julie Rottenberg, and Elisa Zuritsky, along with co-executive producer Samantha Irby and executive story editor Rachel Palmer, come together to dissect Aidan's surprise visit. The episode opens on a light, fairytale note– including a playful homage to Sex and the City in Carrie's closet– but reality quickly creeps in. The writers also delve into the all-too-real (but still funny!) challenges with Harry's recovery, Charlotte's vertigo, and LTW's mounting stress about her editor. Learn more about your ad choices. There's a big ol' art gallery with condom filled with a metrically measured amount of j***, there's two FULL butts, a lot of closet talk, a now ever-present Aidan staying in NYC for an undetermined amount of time in between longing sighs at his phone, an extremely horny LTW, a Lucille 2-ass Charlotte, the biggest balls in the business on Harry, a post-coital gigglefest with ol' aluminum armpits Patel, and some of the most confusing / insensitive stuff of the season from Joy, who may have somehow slalomed in between all the declarations of alcoholism Miranda has been throwing out there??? Oh, and Anthony drops a killer line on us all. It's a NIGHTTIME BOOZY EP, folks! Rate and review us, daddies, and join us at patreon.com/kevinandjon for bonus pods, discord chat, and more!
We start with a little bit on last week's controversy about LTW's dad repeatedly dying, and then it's on to an episode that -- sorry -- had a number of enjoyable things! There's a solid bit of farce over Charlotte's birthday party and what sad thing she's dealing with, a bunch of losers who don't want to do karaoke (and then suddenly do), Patti LuPone guesting as an Italian shrink mom, Lilly gets dumped, Carrie and the British Biographer verbally 69 about each other's writing, and we get a wacky party Miranda that we simply love. Don't worry: we hate plenty of stuff too! Fun for everyone. More fun for everyone? Over on patreon.com/kevinandjon!
(Part 2) Aiden comes to visit because Wyatt checked himself into a wilderness program for troubled youth because yeah, that would happen, LTW dares put her phone on silent for a few hours and her world implodes and Miranda's new gf doesn't like kids. Some might say we're too hard on this show but Stefanie would argue not hard enough.
Aiden comes to visit because Wyatt checked himself into a wilderness program for troubled youth because yeah, that would happen, LTW dares put her phone on silent for a few hours and her world implodes and Miranda's new gf doesn't like kids. Some might say we're too hard on this show but Stefanie would argue not hard enough.
It may have taken longer than we wanted, but we're finally somewhere and it feels so good. Before we get into the episode, we briefly chat about the NYTIMES Top 100 movies of the 21st Century and Love Island. But then we take it all on - LTW's loss, Charlotte as Pollyanna, Aidan's haunting appearance, and the joy of Joy.
Aidan announces his return to town with a crash, and then breaks some other pretty shocking news to Carrie. LTW puts her phone on silent and misses the passing of her dad (RIP Billy D, who IS still alive in real life, thank God), and ends up tussling with Lucille 3 (played by the great Jennifer Lewis) about arrangements, Charlotte finally gets busted while trying to keep Harry's secret secret, and Seema helps Miranda look for an apartment after a (sorta) tearful goodbye to her car & driver. Come for the storylines, stay for the MULTIPLE references to the hobbit universe and exploration about how squirrels see each other. And help us celebrate OUR independence (as a podcast) on this 7/4 drop by leaving us a helpful rating and review, and/or joining us over at patreon.com/kevinandjon!
Carrie and her stilettos have a standoff with her downstairs tenant. Carrie and Miranda's attempt at being roomies fails and Carrie asks Seema to find Miranda a place to live. Seema has another encounter with Adam in the garden. Harry asks Charlotte to keep a secret and it weighs heavily on her. Herbert is not happy about LTW's new editor. Carrie's back from her horror jaunt to Virginia - and things are afoot in Gramercy Park, but before that we discuss a little Love Island and a recent review. We then get into it all - Seema's small business loan, LTW's dwindling marriage and the role references play within this show, Miranda and Carrie as roomies, and those damn shoes.
Executive producers Michael Patrick King, Elisa Zuritsky, and Julie Rottenberg are joined by executive story editor Rachel Palmer to dive into “Under the Table.” Together they discuss the motivation behind Charlotte's new crisis, LTW's selfie with her editor, and wanting Carrie and Miranda to come to the same conclusions about being roommates. They also reveal a Sex and the City easter egg wrapped into Seema's hunt for a new office. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
As we all know and definitely isn't something the show just jammed in there as a totally new thing out of nowhere: Carrie has a downstairs neighbor! He's a sexy, grumpy British author of questionable height who is serving so much Darcy that we couldn't help but wonder…is he a part of Carrie's “fiction”? Miranda also has some roommate troubles (hi penis, how ya doin' there butcher knife), which leads the two gals to room together for a bit in some fun and maddening shenanigans. LTW has a work crush, Charlotte is dealing with some actual serious Harry news, but they all go glamping. And most importantly…Seema…tries to get a loan! Hit us with a rating and a review and we promise not to stomp all over our apartment in heels! And join the never-ending fun at patreon.com/kevinandjon.

Carrie Bradshaw is on ATV and we don't know how to feel about it, but we do know that this episode through us for a loop. But before that, we discuss Call Her Daddy for some reason. And then we get into it all - Ryan Serhant is back, LTW is in Desperate Housewives territory, the show's attempt at taking on aging, Miranda is cat sitting, and that ending!!
