He comes open and ready to share his experiences growing up with his siblings as the only Black kids in his German hometown and the racism he still recalls to this day. He expresses his passion for changing the narrative of Black and African culture and his unique understanding of Blackness around the globe. Boris works with his wife and Soul Food series co-star Nicole Ari Parker in his new Lifetime film and directorial debut, Safe Room, premiering Saturday, January 15th. We have a special Christmas event. Our season one finale is with actors Holly Robinson Peete and Nik Sanchez. They star in the new hit Hallmark Film: Our Christmas Journey. We sit down and talk about what it means to be a family around someone with autism. This move shows the love and truth one such family goes through in raising a son with autism. This is near to our hearts as both Ben and Dan relate to different sides of this very story. To find more about the film : https://www.hallmarkmoviesandmysterie... More on holly As a single mom and her teenaged son with autism come to a crossroad during Christmas, she must learn to let go so he can flourish as she finds her own heart healing in unexpected ways. Starring Holly Robinson Peete, Lyriq Bent and Nik Sanchez. Actress, author, talk show host, activist and philanthropist Holly Robinson Peete has been touched by the entertainment industry almost of her life. Her career as an actress dates back more than three decades and has led her to becoming a voice for her father, her son and her community. She was recently seen at the center of Hallmark Channel's new and very first primetime family docu-series, “Meet the Peetes,” which returned for its second season in February 2019. Peete also starred in five “Morning Show Mysteries” originals for Hallmark Mysteries & Movies, and recently co-starred in the Hallmark original movie “Christmas in Evergreen: Letters to Santa.” Robinson Peete had her first experience in front of the camera at the age of four when she appeared on television opposite her father, Matthew Robinson, who served as a producer and portrayed the original beloved character of Gordon on the iconic children's program “Sesame Street.” While she knew even at that young age her calling was to be an actress, Robinson Peete opted to lead a typical childhood rather than searching to be the next child star. In 1997, Robinson Peete and her husband, former NFL quarterback Rodney Peete, formed the HollyRod Foundation, inspired by her father's courageous battle with Parkinson's disease, with the mission to help improve the quality of life of people with Parkinson's. Then in 2005, inspired by their eldest son's autism diagnosis, HollyRod Foundation's mission expanded to provide support and resources to those affected by an autism diagnosis. Through the HollyRod Foundation and her family's personal experiences, Robinson Peete has become one of the most trusted advocates for consistent and reliable education, outreach and support for both Parkinson's and autism. Her autism advocacy also extends to her book co-written with daughter, Ryan Elizabeth Peete, entitled My Brother Charlie (Scholastic): a bestselling, NAACP Image Award-winning children's book about autism from the sibling's perspective. With her first book Get Your Own Damn Beer, I'm Watching the Game: A Women's Guide to Loving Pro Football (2005, Rodale), Robinson Peete won the 2006 Quill Literacy Award. The follow-up to the children's book entitled Same But Different - Teen Life On The Autism Express –- which was co-authored by her twins Ryan Elizabeth & RJ – was released in spring 2016. More on the rising star Nik Sanchez Nik Sanchez is a budding young actor who just shot a lead role in Boris Kodjoe's upcoming film Safe Space opposite Nicole Ari Parker. He can also be seen recurring as Silas March on the successful ABC series “The Rookie.”

The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Boris Kodjoe of CBS TV's Code Black. Kodjoe is best known for his role in the television series “Soul Food.” The show earned him three NAACP Award nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actor. His film credits include “Resident Evil: Retribution,” “Resident Evil: Afterlife,” “Baggage Claim,” “Love and Basketball,” “Brown Sugar,” “Tyler Perry's Madea's Family Reunion,” “The Gospel” and “Surrogates.” Kodjoe made his debut on Broadway in “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof,” opposite James Earl Jones. Inspired by the award-winning documentary by Dr. Ryan McGarry, “Code Black” is a heart-pounding medical drama that takes place in the busiest ER in the nation, where the staggering influx of patients can outweigh the limited resources available to the extraordinary doctors and nurses whose job it is to treat them all – creating a condition known as Code Black. At the heart of the hospital is Center Stage, the trauma area reserved for the most critical cases. In Center Stage, life is measured in seconds, and these heroic doctors and nurses operate with speed and skill within an overwhelmed system to treat the crowds of people who are often there for one of two reasons: to die or to receive a life-saving miracle.
The Total Tutor Neil Haley will interview Biggest Loser Trainer Dolvett Quince Heading into his sixth season on the hit NBC show “The Biggest Loser,” Dolvett is proving that his passion, regimen and dramatic transformational results are making him one of the most in- demand fitness specialists in the country. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Dolvett and his three siblings were adopted by a Jamaican couple and later moved to Florida, where he finished high school. Dolvett then moved to Atlanta to pursue his passion for fitness and established himself as a leader in his field of health and fitness. In 2004, Dolvett opened Body Sculptor, a private personal training studio in Atlanta with a commitment to “changing lives one rep at a time.” His business had a solid following, but it wasn't until a local radio personality started talking about it on his show that Dolvett and his business really took off. He then widened his business to training other trainers, which then led to him training celebrities like actors Angela Bassett, Boris Kodjoe and Nicole Ari Parker, Baltimore Ravens tight-end Daniel Wilcox and singer-songwriter Jojo, among others. Within the studio, Dolvett created “Pure Energy,” a high-intensity circuit-training class with a live DJ. The popularity of Dolvett's fitness methods inspired the launch of his own DVD “Me and My Chair: The No Excuses Workout,” a low-impact, high-intensity 30-minute workout system that helps users tone up and slim down while only using a household chair. Soon after, Dolvett was cast on “The Biggest Loser. The Biggest Loser Mondays 9/8C on NBC
