In this episode, I chat with Tracey Gee, a coach, speaker, and now author, about her new book, The Magic of Knowing What You Want. Tracey's journey of rediscovering herself and navigating the "desire fog" will resonate deeply with anyone who's ever felt stuck, uncertain, or overwhelmed by options. We dive into: How Tracey helps people uncover their strengths and use them effectively. Her personal journey of leaving vocational ministry and stepping into a season of wilderness, identity, and self-discovery. Why asking "What do you want?" is such a powerful (and sometimes uncomfortable) question. The beauty of taking small, intentional steps of action to build clarity instead of waiting for clarity to come first. The importance of being playful and curious as adults to reconnect with what truly brings us joy and fulfillment. How authentic desires can align with who God created us to be. Tracey's honest, holistic approach to personal development allows us to embrace who we truly are—without trying to fit into a cookie-cutter mold. Her story is a beautiful reminder that clarity often comes through action and that our desires can be God-given, meant to lead us closer to the life He's calling us to. Whether you're in a season of transition, looking to rediscover yourself, or simply curious about how to live a more aligned and joy-filled life, this conversation will inspire and challenge you. If there’s one thing i’ve learned in this life, it is this: Everyone you meet has a backstory. Everyone has a history full of highs and lows, celebration and tragedy. And it’s so easy to forget this when we’re in our 500th meeting of the day. That each face (or name if cameras are off) has a story. In our minds, we think in terms of title. Or position in the power hierarchy. Well, my friend, you are about to meet someone with a backstory that will take your breath away. You’re about to meet Tina Tran. Upon first meeting Tina, you would immediately know you were in the presence of a badass. Tina is a director of business development, leading mobile platform and OEM partnerships for a small company you may have heard of called Microsoft. In 2018, Tina graduated from the prestigious Presidential Leadership Scholars Program, a partnership between the George H.W. Bush, Bill Clinton, Lyndon Johnson, and George Bush presidential centers. She is one of 59 national up- and-coming leaders recognized for her commitment to solving some of our nation’s most pressing problems. See what I mean? BADASS. But she’s also just a good human. She’s someone who loves to connect people, support people, and she just exudes energy. But instead of telling you all about Tina, I want you to meet her. So put your feet up, or strap on your walking shoes, and settle in.

Today we’re talking about modern day slavery or what is commonly referred to as human trafficking. Each year millions of people are trafficked worldwide – including right here in the United States according to our Department of Homeland Security. It can happen in any community and victims can be any age, race, gender, or nationality. Within the safety and comfort of our homes, it seems hard to believe that human trafficking exists in our society—and perhaps even in our own neighborhood. In reality it is a prevalent issue that requires everyone’s attention and help to protect individuals of all walks of life as our guests will discuss on Well Said. Guests include Santhosh Paulus, MD, assistant professor of medicine at the Zucker School of Medicine and creator of the first Northwell Health Human Trafficking Response Program to identify and assist human trafficking victims and care for survivors, and Diana Mao, president and co-founder of Nomi Network, an organization dedicated to socially and economically empowering survivors of human trafficking. President and Co-Founder of Nomi Network, is an abolitionist who works to ensure the complete end of human trafficking in her lifetime. Diana’s faith fuels her drive for justice. Her conviction stems from a research trip to Cambodia where she personally witnessed young children trafficked and sold.
Written by Codie Sanchez ...She saw children being sold into slavery in Cambodia and she said enough... It all started with a little girl named Nomi. This little girl had been through things one can hardly imagine halfway across the world. Thankfully she met Diana Mao and Diana instead of continuing on her lucrative and successful track as a consultant became the President and Co-Founder of Nomi Network. She saw children being sold into slavery in Cambodia and she said enough. What does that mean? Well Diana is a modern day gladiator. She's an abolitionist whose mission is to ensure the complete end of human trafficking in her lifetime. This small of frame, but not of mind, human rights champion and I talk about:The moment her life changedHow she manages international teams across multiple countriesAll while contributing to Reuters, HuffPostAlso being a Presidential Leadership ScholarHow to create a non-profit in a way that makes an impact and is sustainable. What makes a successful partnershipHow to handle international crises. Her story is the kind that gives you chills. AND inspires you to do more. She's an abolitionist whose mission is to ensure the complete end of human trafficking in her lifetime. I dare you to read their origin story and not be inspired… “Nomi Network's namesake is an eight-year-old survivor of sex trafficking who now lives in a supportive partner shelter in Cambodia. Co-founders Diana Mao and Alissa Moore first met Nomi on a visit in 2008. As a child living in a rural village, Nomi was sexually abused by multiple perpetrators and was treated worse than an animal. She has physical scars, but also emotional scars from her abuse which will pose major challenges to her living independently and reintegrate back into society. Nevertheless, Nomi has grown into a beautiful young woman, with a warmth that's contagious and a generous heart. It was through her friendship and resilience that we realized that she did not have to be defined by her past, but that she could be defined by her future. Nomi Network exists so that survivors will be able to say with confidence, know me, know my story, know my success.” Nomi Network exists so that survivors will be able to say with confidence, know me, know my story, know my success. Companies today compete as a supply chain. All it takes is a failure of just one supplier in the chain to cause the whole company to come under scrutiny. Diana Mao, president of Nomi Network, says a company has an obligation to ensure responsible practice in supply chains beyond the first tier.
