Today's podcast is all about being a powerful advocate for yourself at the fertility clinic. And… if things aren't going swimmingly, this is my plea, to please be the squeaky wheel.Today on one of our support calls for the Membership (Fully Supported is our continuation membership for The Reset) and as part of a promotion we have been running, we chatted about blood tests. And the fact that…. 9/10 Doctors haven't run the full panel of tests that could be run.And whilst I'm a huge advocate for conventional medicine and have so much love and respect for Fertility Specialists - this isn't about them. I'm all here for you.On today's Podcast I talk about:Why it's so important to advocate for yourselfMy own story of how advocating for myself resulted in big changes that I firmly believe helped me get pregnantWhat being the squeaky wheel looks like (and where to start)And what might happen (and why you should never worry about it) when you become that squeaky wheel.I talked about a bunch of links today on the podcast to programs and free downloads. With the current pandemic and changes in our economy, many people are looking at other ways to create multiple streams of income by starting their businesses. Or perhaps you just had enough from your day job and want to pursue your heart-centred, purpose-driven business venture. Whatever your trigger or reason is, most people will become solo-entrepreneurs by utilising their skills and experience to begin with. This podcast episode with Tammy Johnston will help you to plan and transition from a full-time job to self-employment, or if you already took the leap to become self-employed, we shared some tips and reasons that you don't have to do it all alone. Tammy Johnston is a speaker, educator, business and author. Tammy specializes in helping small business owners and solopreneurs since 2003. She is a noted small business expert on the stage, in the classroom and in media outlets for the better part of two decades. If you want to find out more about Tammy Johnston work, please visit https://ksabusiness.ca She is starting a new program called Kick Start 2022, for those who are thinking about starting a business or have recently taken the leap and want to shorten the learning curve and get you to become profitable faster. You can click on this link to find out more and to register: https://ksabusiness.ca/kickstart2022/ *I am not an affiliate or paid promoter for Tammy's business, I recommend her work because she is simply awesome, super down to earth, no BS and a highly supportive coach and colleague!* :-) Check out her new program! Interview Highlights: Tammy's personal story of becoming a solopreneur while pregnantWhat would Tammy say to her younger self - the Do's and Don'ts when starting a businessHow to joggle between a young family and starting or growing a businessWhy we need a board of directors or a tribe trusted people to support our business journeyThe habit of Kaizen3 Keys on successful business planning Video https://youtu.be/D6qdnucuiUY Transcript Sze Wing (00:03): Hi, everyone. I'm super excited to interview Tammy Johnson today. She's my dear guest all the way from Canada. I love to interview people from different time zones. So this has got to be a really fun interview because I love chatting with Tammy and I just have to start this interview otherwise, we're just going to go on all day. But I think today it's going to be really great podcast because I know during this current pandemic and changes in our economy, a lot of people are looking at other ways to make money or create multiple streams of income. And not surprisingly many people look at starting their own business or taking their skills and experience into bringing it in terms of making a product or service into the world. So a lot of people are thinking, can they adapt? Can they transition? So I think Tammy's story and expertise can really help a lot of small business owners or want to start people to have a think and maybe take some notes about this. Sze Wing (01:02): So I really hope this is going to be a useful interview for a lot of those people, but also it's going to be lots of fun. So a little short introduction, Tammy is a speaker educator business owner and author. She specialized in helping small business owners and solo-preneurs since 2003. And she's a small business expert on the stage in the classroom and in the media outlet for two decades. So she definitely got the experience and when she started out, she had small kids, actually babies. So for those who are moms like myself, we also going to learn from Tammy in terms of how to balance it all. I mean, balance is a kind of like a dream state, but how to do it all, like without going insane, I think. I also think this is a great opportunity too, for some existing small business owner who wants to turn things around or speed up your journey for success, or like brand new people who want to really start off on the right food.

“There’s a lot of misunderstanding around PR and what it is but what people most think that it is, it’s publicity or getting coverage in media outlets (...) But actually it’s really about reputation building and awareness building, trust building.”There’s a lot of misunderstanding when it comes to PR and not everyone knows what it’s actually for. PR, or Public Relations, is really all about the company’s positive reputation and trust building. It includes all social interactions with existing and future clients or business partners. As social media is now the number one way for brands to engage with people and find new clients, it’s becoming one of the most important places to use PR to build your brand’s reputation and create new relationships with customers. In today’s episode we have Katie Martel. Katie is a founder of Croft PR and has 14 year of experience in PR. She and her team help passionate business leaders achieve incredible impact, results and growth through brand content and PR strategies. She’s worked on world winning campaigns for brands like the APA, an Australian Physiotherapy Association, and brands like Medela and Rosella, just to name a few. Katie also teaches small business owners how to do their own PR, and it’s perfect for smaller businesses that don’t have the funds to hire a PR specialist and don’t have the knowledge to do PR themselves. In this chat, we will be talking about what PR is and share some great tips on how to effectively use PR to create an impact for your business and much more.Let’s jump in!WHAT YOU’LL LEARN FROM THIS EPISODE:Who is Katie and what she doesHow motherhood changed Katie perspective in businessDid Katie have a career crisis when she got pregnantWhat is PR?Are social media partnerships considered as PR?Are people actually doing PR but don’t realise that they are doing it?Is PR an encompassing name for the different tools you can use?Can you combine organic PR strategy with paid ads strategy? What made Katie to specialize in PRWhat made Katie to start her own PR businessHow long does she have Croft PR businessWhat things do you need to look for in a PR partnerDoes Katie believe that all the concepts in her course can be used by anyoneCan everyone do PR?RESOURCES:Katie’s Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/croft.pr/Katie’s Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/croftprKatie’s LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/katie-martelThriving through COVID19 group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/527152524895728/Kaity on Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/kaitygriffin_/Kaity Griffin Website
Trying to conceive a baby is not something you can be half in, half out about. Because mentally and energetically your body will feel it. Yet, most of us, who are having trouble aren't fully ALL IN. NOT because of anything we have done but due to resistances we don't even know that we have that we've developed to 'keep us safe'.So in this episode I will explore:Why I don't focus that much on the mechanical/physical side of getting pregnantWhat being fully aligned to a successful fertility journey meansThe question you need to ask yourself to start to align yourself on this journey. What you are thinking, believing, feeling, saying and doing and how this can make a difference, andHow to gently start to turn things around if you are misalignedPlus I share some surprising stories to illustrate misalignment!Enjoy! x
