Hello to you listening in Puyallup, Washington!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.Maybe like me your fears, worries, and anxieties can feel overwhelming at times. How could things turn out well? I turn to a favorite scene from the movie, Shakespeare in Love. Philip Henslowe is the promoter behind Shakespeare's newest play. Henslowe is threatened by the play's producer Hugh Fennyman and his thugs because Henslowe owes money to Fennyman. If the play opens as planned Henslowe can pay what's owed; but The Rose Theatre is currently closed because of the plague. Philip Henslowe: Mr. Fennyman, allow me to explain about the theatre business. The natural condition is one of insurmountable obstacles on the road to imminent disaster.Hugh Fennyman: So what do we do?Philip Henslowe: Nothing. Strangely enough, it all turns out well.Hugh Fennyman: How?Philip Henslowe: I don't know. It's a mystery.Click to watch the scene on YouTubePractical Tip: The next time you're faced with some challenge, take a deep breathe and repeat, “Strangely enough it all turns out well. How? Episode 109 of The DYOJO Podcast, we are talking about construction opportunities. Our main story centers around an October 16, 2023 announcement from the White House. This press release outlines new actions on home ownership including $16 billion dollars designated for housing and rehabilitation. CONSTRUCTION STORIES: President Biden proposed $16 billion for the Neighborhood Homes Tax Credit, which would result in more than 400,000 homes built or rehabilitated, creating a pathway for more families to buy a home and start building wealth. The market is in flux right now, especially the housing market. For contractors looking to diversify their portfolio, it may be time to freshen up on what it looks like to work with the federal, state, and local government agencies that are looking to spend this “Build Back America” money. This story shows that at least some of those proceeds, if not additional funding, will be going into the residential market for housing assistance, hopefully, more people will be able to get into affordable housing, as well as housing rehabilitation, allowing homeowners to access low-interest loans for safety, accessibility, and necessary renovations to their existing homes. Thursdays are for The DYOJO Podcast - helping contractors shorten their DANG learning curve. When fair season hits in the small town of Puyallup Washington, it’s a pretty big deal. Kids andfamilies make plans around the days when they can go to what is now known as theWashington State Fair.On a fall night in September 25, 1992 after spending the day at the fair with a good friend, 14year old Misty Copsey disappeared with no trace. Her mom, Diana received a phone call around8:45 PM from Misty letting her know that she had missed the bus home. Diana was at her nightjob as a caregiver and wasn’t able to leave her patient. After a brief conversation, the twoagreed Misty would call a few people she knew to get a ride and Diana stressed for her to callwith an update on the situation. That call never came. What ensues in the days, months and years after her disappearance is what can only belabeled as neglect and indifference on the part of multiple law enforcement agencies, meddlingby a self proclaimed “unlicensed private detective” and the unanswered hopes of a frustratedmother.Over 25 years later, there are no leads, no body and no answers. The police tried to get noticeon social media in 2017 but one could say it was too little too late for Misty.Someone, somewhere knows something.Join us as we discuss the case and some of the more confusing aspects of the case that haveleft us confused. Some information from this episode:Help bring Misty home:https://patch.com/washington/puyallup/help-bring-me-home-misty-copsey-disappearance-gets-boost-social-mediaThe Stolen Child- A 3 part series of articles:Part 1https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/special-reports/article25857745.htmlPart 2https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/special-reports/article25857751.htmlPart 3https://www.thenewstribune.com/news/special-reports/article25857754.html#storylink=related_inlineThe Strange Case of Misty Copsey- Reddit threadhttps://docs.google.com/document/d/1MIZr4QVsme4R5lJUBuw-uFKZ2bh0HAJ8MBMx9pDHQOU/edit**Update to misty copsey description: The Unresolved Podcast https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/unresolved/id1047332516

Opening day of the Washington State Fair in Puyallup, Washington, with just a handful of the fun things we did with our boys. Discount tickets at Fred Meyer and Costco, at the very very least. * Superman was a jerk, for sure, but he was also the biggest liar ever when it came to his feats of strength in terms of stopping airliners from crashing. I mean, holding his hand up to the decorative nose-cone wouldn't do a damn thing, and even if he could actually stop the plane, everyone inside would instantly die from the rapid deceleration. * During my recent trip to Hollywood, I discovered someone I've had a crush on since I was just a boy also fancied me back. That flirty-birdy Vanna White seems to fancy me as much as I always fancied her, as a child, though I'm just sure it would never work out. * Trump supporters are still threatening me, but not as often as they used to.
