We talked about: the tweet that got her banned and the Yaniv waxing lawsuits that triggered it; Canada's Bill C16 and what it actually means to have gender identity law on the books; losing venues, hiring private security, and getting stalked around her Vancouver neighborhood; how Joe Rogan and Elon Musk both played a role in keeping her career alive; why she left Canada in January 2021; the cartel "protest" that burned some cars, got wildly exaggerated online, and tanked the tourist season in her Mexican town; the fear of fun — Andrew Huberman, Bryan Johnson, Gen Z, and the obsession with optimizing yourself out of actually living; why she's happier single; why "nobody wants you after 35" is not true; and why guys who call attractive women "mid" are almost certainly not having sex with real women. Chris and Chris sit down with Alexander Payne & Stephen Sihelnik to dissect the massive economic shifts defining mid-2026. We kick off with a deep-dive market analysis into the highly anticipated SpaceX IPO, the strategic implications of Elon Musk acquiring the Cursor AI platform, and how global tech infrastructure is shifting under the current political landscape. The panel also exposes the bizarre world of elite wealth—from the staggering economics of international Saudi yacht parties and the geopolitical absurdity of attempting to purchase Greenland, to tech billionaire Bryan Johnson's extreme anti-aging biohacking routines. Faga also reflects on his firsthand experiences during the original Occupy Wall Street protests, connecting the dots to legendary financial deep-dives found on early 4chan threads and the infamous Abacus banking scandal. Finally, we transition to sports and culture. Plus: Hyperbaric chambers, red-light therapy, mRNA, cancer research, and the surprising importance of boredom and friction. Kara Swisher is a veteran tech journalist, host of the Pivot podcast with Scott Galloway, and one of the most influential voices covering the intersection of technology and power. Her new CNN documentary series, Kara Swisher Wants to Live Forever, takes on the longevity industry — separating genuine medical breakthroughs from the pseudoscience being sold to anyone with a credit card and a fear of aging. Kara Swisher has been covering Silicon Valley longer than most of its billionaires have been rich — and she's watched them turn a simple fear of death into a multi-billion dollar industry of expensive, largely unproven interventions. After her own stroke at 49, she decided to investigate: what actually works, what's a grift, and what does the science really say about living longer? The result is a new CNN documentary series that's part BS-detector, part genuinely hopeful look at the medical breakthroughs that could change everything. This conversation covers both. We talked about: Why biohacking culture is basically a men's eating disorder dressed up as science Bryan Johnson, Peter Attia, and what Silicon Valley gets catastrophically wrong about longevity The supplements, therapies, and interventions that are mostly hype (peptides, hyperbaric chambers, red light therapy, full-body scans) What VO2 max actually measures — and why it's one of the few metrics worth tracking GLP-1 drugs: the real promise behind the Ozempic headlines The mRNA breakthroughs that could produce a pancreatic cancer vaccine Why your relationships are a more powerful longevity drug than anything you can buy The case for boredom, friction, and putting your phone down How thinking about death every day can make you happier and less afraid Get the 10% with Dan Harris app here Sign up for Dan's free newsletter here Follow Dan on social: Instagram, TikTok Subscribe to our YouTube Channel This episode is sponsored by: Eight Sleep: Use code DanHarris at eightsleep.com/danharris for up to $350 off the Pod 5, with a 30-day trial if it's not for you. A hypervisual, looks-obsessed, wellness-crazed, postliterate society where we're constantly staring at screens and evaluating one another based on metrics, as the country around us feels like it's falling apart: That sounds like the world we live in. It's also the world Gary Shteyngart created in his 2010 novel, “Super Sad True Love Story.” I've been thinking about the book a lot recently, especially with the rise of the “looksmaxxing” influencer Clavicular and the longevity guru Bryan Johnson, and this feeling that people are upset and agitated but grabbing at the wrong things to fix it. It feels uncannily like the experience of living inside Shteyngart's novel. But Shteyngart isn't just a dystopian prophet, he's also an expert at living well amid the world's darkness. His forthcoming book, “The Sensualist: Adventures in Pure Pleasure,” is an essay collection about his efforts to do exactly that. So I wanted to have Shteyngart on the show to understand how he predicted so many of the grimmer aspects of our present, but also how we might delight in the world's “endless buffet of pleasure” in spite of them. This episode contains strong language. Note: We're recording an "Ask Me Anything" episode soon. If you have a question, please email ezrakleinshow@nytimes.com using the subject like "AMA." Sports medicine physician, endurance athlete and 1% Better Podcast host - Dave Lipman - checks in for a wide-ranging conversation covering the realities of podcasting, the future of endurance technology, recovery methods, supplements, sleep tracking, heat adaptation, longevity trends, GLP-1s, peptides, and where the line should be drawn between performance enhancement and fair competition. Dave Lipman Links: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/drdavidlipman/ 1% Better Podcast Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/onepercentbetterpod/| 1% Better Podcast on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/show/4bG2U3dciEduX8c3PUtkrQ Matt Fox Links: Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/mattinglisfox/ Coaching: https://www.sweatelitecoaching.com/ Supporters Club: https://www.sweatelite.co/supporters YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@SweatElite Matt welcomes Dave back to the podcast and the pair begin by discussing the realities of producing endurance content. They talk about the challenges of scheduling guests, dealing with cancellations and technical issues, recording in person versus remotely, and why some of the best conversations happen when the host and guest don't know each other particularly well beforehand. Dave also shares his podcast inspirations, what he currently listens to, and the endurance personalities he would most like to interview. The conversation then shifts toward the future of endurance performance technology. Dave discusses continuous lactate monitoring, multi-analyte sensors capable of tracking biomarkers such as glucose, ketones, cortisol, and hormones, as well as emerging ventilation and respiratory wearables. They explore whether future devices will be able to separate metabolic stress from mechanical and neuromuscular load, creating more useful insights than current metrics alone. Matt and Dave discuss the balance between useful data and over-analysis, touching on sleep tracking, orthosomnia, and how athletes can become overly reliant on wearable feedback. Dave explains why subjective feel still matters and why training should ultimately enhance enjoyment rather than create more stress. The discussion moves into supplements, with Dave outlining his practical framework for evaluating evidence and deciding what is worth using. They cover bicarbonate products such as Maurten Bicarb and Nomio, creatine, beta-alanine, beet nitrates, taurine, and the supplement trends currently gaining traction in endurance sport. Recovery strategies are another major focus. Dave reviews the evidence surrounding ice baths, sauna use, heat adaptation, active versus passive heat exposure, and how timing these interventions incorrectly may blunt training adaptations. They also discuss sweat rate adaptations, the interaction between heat and altitude training, and examples of accidental training breakthroughs that emerged from environmental stress. The final section of the conversation examines the rapidly growing longevity and biohacking space. Matt and Dave discuss Bryan Johnson, GLP-1 medications, peptides, anti-aging interventions, anti-doping gray areas, and whether amateur athletes should be held to different standards than professionals. The discussion expands into super shoes, emerging performance technologies, and how the sport may need to adapt as new forms of enhancement become increasingly accessible. Dr. Mike Hart interviews board-certified urologist Dr. Alex Tatum about peptide access, compounding, and men's health. Tatum argues many peptides are naturally occurring and lacked FDA commercialization incentives, says the FDA's 2023 move banning 19 compounds from Category 1 was contested due to no produced adverse-safety evidence, and describes the patient impact and advocacy around a July PCAC meeting. He explains most peptide APIs and many compounded GLP-1 ingredients come from China, while pharma-grade GLP-1s have more U.S. production. The discussion covers retatrutide's potential biologic classification (40–amino acid rule) and pricing implications, MOTS-c as an adjunct for low energy on GLP-1s, skepticism about cardarine, growth hormone secretagogues and cancer fears, TRT dosing frequency, sleep apnea screening, HCG's roles, and penis enhancement via traction for length and hyaluronic acid filler for girth, emphasizing expectations and mental health. Dr. Alex Tatem is a board-certified urologist focused on men's health, hormone optimization, male fertility, and sexual wellness. In this episode, he joins Dr. Mike Hart to discuss the changing landscape of peptide therapy, including FDA restrictions, compounding pharmacies, drug supply chains, and the growing debate around access to treatments such as BPC-157, MOTS-c, and retatrutide. He also breaks down practical considerations for men using testosterone replacement therapy, including HCG, fertility preservation, dosing frequency, estrogen-related side effects, and sleep apnea risk. Drawing from his experience treating a wide range of patients, he shares a harm-reduction approach to performance medicine and explains what men should understand before considering growth hormone peptides, GLP-1 medications, or penile enhancement procedures. When an astrologer tells Mangesh that he’ll (probably) die early, he takes it in stride. But his family and friends (not to mention all the Don’t Die longevity influencers on his FYP) feel differently… and besides, if science can keep his brain sharp and his tennis game strong for longer, why not take advantage? So he visits Dr. Nir Barzelai, the world’s leading aging researcher, and Dr. Ron Primas, an elite longevity doctor, to figure out what he should do. Plus: A chat with Ken Reid from TV Guidance Counselor about age in pop culture, from the Golden Girls to “I’ve fallen and I can’t get up.” Disclosure: The experts we spoke with want to be clear that although they have some minor quibbles with Bryan Johnson, they’re grateful for the fact that he’s started the conversation on longevity. Any insinuation that he’s got weird vibes is ours. The other month the world got to watch as Bryan Johnson live-streamed his 5-MeO-DMT experience with Enfold that made use of "The Leckie Protocol," which combines vaporized with injected 5-MeO. Steve Rio suggested we have another conversation about it given the widespread interest, and I was happy to have him join me back on the podcast. We had another great, lengthy conversation about the protocol and just jamming on the topic of 5-MeO-DMT in general. Also in this episode I've got a mini-interview with a student who completed my 5-MeO-DMT Integration Specialist Training course, Jay Monger. Jay provided this short interview to help promote the Fall Term of my course, which starts on Sept 9th. Roll On, but enhanced! Adam Skolnick came over to help make sense of the Enhanced Games, the pay-for-PEDs enterprise that just went down behind a Vegas casino. In this episode we break down 17 things every brand gets wrong about marketing to millennials, from the skinny-jeans myth to why "this will change your life" is the fastest way to lose us. Marty explains how he has been using Apple Watch sleep heart-rate trends and easy-run heart rate averages to monitor fatigue, illness risk, and readiness to push training. The conversation covers Marty's current weight goals, aiming for 64-66 kg while managing fluctuations, reducing protein slightly to lower muscle mass, and keeping strength through heavy, low-rep gym work. Matt and Marty also discuss performance versus longevity, marathon-running lifespan, the global running boom, online criticism, shoe wars, and Nike's position in the market. They also dive into sauna protocols inspired by Bryan Johnson, the idea of reaching core-temperature thresholds, and Marty's supplement routine including vitamin D, methylated B vitamins, TMG, stopping creatine 12 weeks out, and experimenting with beetroot. Merch - https://nonmembersshop.com/Happy National Wine Day! We are trying out a new podcast intro and struggling through this episode as Erin nurses a massive hangover after drinking a little too much at a surprise 50th birthday party at her sister's B&B. She also recaps the struggle of trying to leave the party while her 7-year-old decided to become a "party girl" and perform magic tricks with doorway streamers. We then dive into a heated rant about the disrespect of neighbors blasting bass music late at night when you have sleeping kids, and Erin reveals her passive aggressive revenge tactic: sending the kids outside early in the morning to aggressively ring their bicycle bells. In fitness news, Erin gives an exciting week six update on her "Pull-Up Revolution." She finally felt the right muscles activate, got her head to the bar, and used her newfound strength to casually lift a heavy shelving system into Dan's truck at Lowe's. We also review a brilliant new ASICS marketing campaign that shows "before and after" photos of runners taken just 15 minutes apart, highlighting that the mental sanity you get from a workout is the real transformation. For "Tea Time," we unpack the messy internet feud between a runner/musician named Zach and DJ Diplo. Diplo sparked massive outrage by claiming he no longer needs to pay human artists because he can just use AI, leading to a bizarre comment section war where Diplo punched down and insulted musicians as "degenerate alcoholics". We also debate a hilarious act of spite at a major PGA golf tournament in Philly, where a homeowner built a massive platform in their backyard just to peer over the privacy fence and watch the event with their friends. We also tease our upcoming trip to the Enhanced Games in Vegas. We get a terrifying update on the local black bear that has been destroying Erin's trash cans (and ripping off the metal pins). In pop culture, we review the 42 step daily routine of Bryan Johnson, longevity guy. Finally, we cover a disastrous Houston Astros 5K/10K where runners were backed up for over an hour just trying to cross the finish line on the field, and celebrate Canada hosting their very first National Women's Wheelchair Rugby Championship!
The future of sports or a grifty marketing stunt with juiced-up athletes as salespeople? The Enhanced Games took place in Las Vegas. Races were held, prize money was awarded, one world record was "broken" in farcical scenes. Australian James 'missile' Magnussen was among the competitors who looked ripped but didn't fire. We head to Vegas to get a sense of this spectacle. What if the pill you believed would save your life was slowly killing you? In the third century, the most powerful ruler in human history, Qin Shi Huang, the first Emperor of China, was secretly drinking mercury. His court alchemists called it the Elixir of Immortality. He called it hope. History calls it the thing that killed him. In this episode of For the Love of History, TK takes you on a journey through humanity's oldest obsession: cheating death. From the mercury-laced elixirs of ancient China to the gold tinctures of 16th-century French courts, to the blood plasma injections and cryonic freezing of today's Silicon Valley billionaires — the methods have changed, but the madness hasn't. In this episode, we cover:
Australians are living longer and longer, which is on one hand a beautiful thing. But on the other, prolonged old age is wreaking havoc. So how might we respond to this new demographic situation we find ourselves in?Lucinda Holdforth is a writer who specialises in looking at what makes good societies flourish, everything from manners to politics and equality. Most recently, she's set her sights on the unintended negative consequences following the extraordinary increase in life span around the world, particularly in Australia. In the past 50 years, human life expectancy across the globe has jumped from 46 years old to 73, and in Australia that number is even higher -- an Australian born today is likely to live until they are 84 years old.On the surface, living longer is a very good thing. It means more time spent with our loved ones, looking at the stars, feeling the sun, living. But prolonged old age can also be very lonely and painful, and, as Lucinda argues, it is costing society as a whole in many ways. She has seen this firsthand, as a daughter who supported her own parents in their long old age, and has some surprising suggestions about how we could do things differently to ease the impact on our economy, our medical system, our elderly and our youth.GOING ON AND ON: Why our longevity threatens our future is published by Simon & Schuster. This episode was produced by Meggie Morris. Executive Producer is Eliza Kirsch. It explores the sandwich generation, carers, women caring for parents, the elderly, dementia, Alzheimer's, Bryan Johnson, biohackers, Blue Zone, how to live longer, Mediterranean diet, tech bros, longevity, muscle mass, aging, deterioration, aged care, death, grief, how to live well, writing, books, old age, diseases of the elderly, tax, taxation, ageism, voting rights, voting age, lower the voting age.To binge even more great episodes of the Conversations podcast with Richard Fidler and Sarah Kanowski go the ABC listen app (Australia) or wherever you get your podcasts. Day 60 of Operation Epic Fury — except it's not called that anymore. Or a war. Or active kinetic bombing. We track every name the administration has given this thing depending on who's asking and what court they're standing in. Trump tells Congress the ceasefire stopped the War Powers Act clock, calls the seized Iranian oil tanker situation "a very profitable business," and compares the U.S. Navy to pirates. We do the actual math on that profitable business — spoiler: $6 billion in denied Iranian revenue vs. $25-58 billion in U.S. costs, 13 dead service members, gas at $4.39, and Spirit Airlines becoming the first U.S. casualty airline. Plus: Project Freedom paused after less than 24 hours, the Dark Eagle hypersonic gets called up at $15 million per missile, Iran says peace talks need a Lebanon ceasefire (good luck), Israel "didn't know" a deal was close and has "a series of targets ready," Powell refuses to leave the Fed board, Republicans want $1 billion in taxpayer money for Trump's privately-funded ballroom, and Howard "Lord of Commerce" Lutnick can't recall why his family lunched on Epstein's island. What if you read your own obituary today? What would it say — and would it match the story you've been telling yourself? In this episode we unpack the T in VISTA — Truth — using the remarkable story of Alfred Nobel, the man who invented dynamite and became the face of destruction, until a mistaken obituary handed him a Truth he couldn't ignore. We also look at Dwayne Johnson, Tom Holland, Bryan Johnson, and the cautionary tale of Ignaz Philipp Semmelweis to show why Truth is always available, but not everyone is open to receiving it. In this episode, Bryan Johnson, CEO and Co-Founder of WeInfuse, CEO of RxToolKit, and CEO of InfuseTrack talks about the company's newest software, InfuseTrack. After building infusion businesses — from Innovative Infusions and the Austin Infusion Centers to co-founding NICA and the Infusion Access Foundation — Bryan and his co-founder Reece Norris spotted yet another industry pain point worth solving. InfuseTrack started as a side project to track portable infusion pumps for home infusion clients, but quickly grew into a full asset and compliance platform once Bryan started showing it around. Today it tracks infusion pumps, IV poles, chairs, vein finders, blood pressure cuffs, temperatures, certifications, licenses, lease agreements, and inspections — all in one place, with a simple red, yellow, green dashboard that tells your team exactly what needs attention. Bryan shares a memorable story about walking into a client's infusion suite to find $3,000 worth of IV pumps wrapped in plastic on a back room floor, dropped off a month earlier and forgotten. It's the kind of expensive, compliance-risking situation InfuseTrack is built to prevent — especially as organizations scale across multiple locations. The episode also covers integrations with biomed vendors, environmental monitoring partners, and last-mile logistics providers like VirtuScript (hear our earlier episode with VirtuScript here). InfuseTrack works as a standalone product or integrates tightly with WeInfuse and RxToolKit through single sign-on. Want to see it in action? Visit InfuseTrack.com or email Sales@InfuseTrack.com to schedule a demo. The InfuseTrack team will also be at the National Infusion Center Association annual conference this July if you want to see it in person!
In this episode, Alex sits down with Martin Benes to unpack the rise of the “looksmaxxing” trend, a movement rooted in online subcultures that pushes self-improvement into obsessive and often unhealthy extremes . They contrast the chaotic, extreme influencer persona of Clavicular—who embodies the movement's more dangerous, experimental edge—with biohacker Bryan Johnson, whose highly controlled lifestyle still reflects a more structured (if intense) version of optimization. The conversation expands into how “maxxing” culture has spiraled into a catch-all internet buzzword, arguing it reflects a broader shift toward reductive, performative self-improvement. Ultimately, they frame the trend as a distorted offshoot of wellness culture that prioritizes aesthetics and metrics over actual health.

Is the American fashion industry making a conservative turn?Despite her modeling past, fashion-obsessed First Lady Melania Trump has not graced the cover of Vogue during President Trump's tenure. And that's not necessarily surprising– Anna Wintour, the global editorial director of American Vogue, is a longtime advocate for the Democrats. But there's definitely been a shift. That's why it's been so curious to see Trump associate Lauren Sánchez Bezos on the digital cover of Vogue. And it was definitely peculiar to see longevity-obsessed venture capitalist Bryan Johnson and looksmaxxing influencer Clavicular walking the runway. Is the American fashion industry making a conservative turn? Or is this just business as usual? To answer this question, Brittany is joined by Pulitzer Prize winning critic, Robin Givhan. From fashionable First Ladies to President Trump's favorite shoes - Robin gets into how fashion, politics, and our desire for relatability collide in the court of public opinion.
