In this episode of The Mortar & Pestle: A PCCA Podcast, host Mike de Lisio is joined by PCCA's VP of R&D, Daniel Banov, and returning guest Richie Ray, owner of Richie Specialty Pharmacy, to explore the innovation and impact of SubMagna—a proprietary sublingual base developed by PCCA. They discuss the technical challenges and scientific breakthroughs involved in formulating SubMagna to effectively deliver high molecular weight peptides like semaglutide via the sublingual route. Daniel details the base's development process, including surfactant balancing, solubility enhancement, and permeability optimization, while Richie shares clinical insights, patient responses, and the broader market implications. Together, they highlight SubMagna's potential as a game-changing delivery system for peptides and other challenging APIs, especially in an era of rising demand for non-injectable therapies.

This week on the Labor Radio Podcast Weekly: From veterans rallying on the National Mall…To postal workers fighting privatization…To musicians lifting up migrants' voices…To labor leaders warning against fascism and false unity…we bring you a snapshot of the urgent struggles—and enduring solidarity—shaping the working class today. On Labor Radio in Portland, hosts Michael and Elliott take a hard look at the first 100 days of a second Trump term—describing a “relentless onslaught” of executive orders, wage cuts, and attacks on federal workers. On the Heartland Labor Forum, Bill Fletcher, Jr. warns against labor giving even tacit support to authoritarianism, reminding us: “There is no middle ground.” Working People joins a powerful protest on the National Mall, where veterans speak out against Trump's betrayal of their service and the gutting of VA protections. On the Labor Heritage Power Hour, Francisco Herrera says it plainly: “Migration strengthens the nation.” His songs, rooted in struggle, become tools for organizing and survival. And in the Bipartisan Buzz and The Hot House, letter carriers sound the alarm: Postal workers are under attack, facing rising violence, congressional inaction—and a push toward privatization. From the shop floor to the stage, from the picket line to the podcast mic—this is the Labor Radio Podcast Weekly. Help us build sonic solidarity by clicking on the share button below. Highlights from labor radio and podcast shows around the country, part of the national Labor Radio Podcast Network of shows focusing on working people's issues and concerns. @kboo @Heartland_Labor @WorkingPod @LaborHeritage1 @COSALC_#LaborRadioPod @AFLCIO Edited by Captain Swing, produced by Chris Garlock; social media guru Mr. Harold Phillips.

This episode of CCA Corner provides a comprehensive guide for new City Carrier Assistants (CCAs) navigating their first 90 days at the post office. It covers both office and street procedures, emphasizing safety, accuracy, and the importance of union membership, and includes a guest feature from Richie Ray, host of Hot House with Richie Ray. Office Procedures: We discuss the initial stress of the office environment, dealing with management, and the varying helpfulness of colleagues. It highlights the importance of On-the-Job Instructors (OJIs) as resources. Street Procedures: We cover details of the three main types of mail delivery: Park and Loops: Parking the truck and walking a street. Emphasizing proper parking procedures ("curb it, park it, break it, take it"), carrying the satchel correctly, and using dog spray. Dismounts: Short stops at individual addresses, with similar safety precautions. Mounted Boxes: Delivering mail from the vehicle, stressing the importance of placing the vehicle in neutral or park at each box. Some additional tidbits we cover include: Safety First: Checking the vehicle for safety issues and reporting them is paramount. Carriers have the right to refuse unsafe work. No Mistake Pace: Prioritize accuracy and safety over speed. Speed will develop with experience. Forming Good Habits: Establishing proper procedures from day one is crucial for long-term success. Union Importance: Joining the union is strongly recommended, for protection and advocacy. Stewards are available to answer questions and help with issues. Schedule Awareness: CCAs should check their schedule daily, as it can change. They are entitled to a minimum number of work hours if scheduled. https://fromatoarbitration.com/cca-corner/ https://fromatoarbitration.com/postal-podcasts/
