#ibrahsurahalhashr #bebaspalestin #palestin #gaza #freepalestine --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/hasrizal/message
Why would United States Senators sign into law, a bill that combats the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanction (BDS) movement this past May 2023? Probably because BDS works. What is it and why does it matter so much to our lawmakers and to all Americans? While we find out, let's ask ourselves, “Why do we consider Rosa Parks a momshero?”States led the way in passing anti BDS laws, and have been doing so for years. Returning to the podcast is Bahia Amawi, a mom who was scheduled WAY BEFORE October to speak with us. This episode was recorded just after October 7th and since then, the world is witnessing what's happened.Bahia Amawi lost her job overnight when she refused to sign an employment contract with a school district that stipulated she would maintain an anti BDS stance. As a Palestinian and mom, she fought the state and came to us at that time when the ruling was pending. Find out what happened and where you can catch her right now on the screen.Tune in at 6pm EST where you listen to podcasts (we aren't on Spotify!) or head to our website and you can hear her there. Jewish Diaspora Report - Episode 23On this episode of the Jewish Diaspora Report, Host Mike Jordan discusses the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement that aims to destroy Israel economically, culturally and intellectually. This is in response for what the movement claims is Israel's breaking of International law and the mistreatment of the Palestinian people. We will look into the history of this movement and who they are actually harming! Interestingly, it is the very people who they claim to support. But why?Explore these challenging issues and join the Jewish Diaspora Report for future episodes on issues of Politics, Culture, Current Events and more! Check us out on Instagram @jdr.podcast
In our very first Bonus Episode, agitated's resident anti-Zionist Jew Milly Harmon frames out our discussion on Israel's ongoing genocidal campaign against millions of Palestinians -- which is currently ramping up at a horrific clip, and with full-throated backing of the Biden administration. We discuss the history of the region, the Zionist propaganda in our media that has manufactured consent for these crimes against humanity, and the role that the the UK and US governments -- and their own geopolitical interests -- have played in the creation, maintenance and highly sophisticated militarization of this illegitimate settler-colonial ethnostate. We also talk about the rapid shifts in our culture that we've witnessed over these past few weeks. More and more everyday people (including many American Jews) are waking up to the realities of the ethnic cleansing of Palestinians and the deeply disproportionate power dynamics in the region. This is thanks in large part to the accessibility of information and footage on social media, and orgs/campaigns like Boycott, Divest & Sanction (BDS), Jewish Voice for Peace and If Not Now, who have been working on college campuses and beyond to challenge the dominant narrative and build the movement needed to end this apartheid. The fruits of that work are finally being seen in the halls of power -- for the first time, there are a handful of politicians in Congress naming it for what it is and speaking out against these atrocities, and U.S.'s major role in facilitating them. This is the moment we've been waiting for -- and it means we must keep pushing with all of our might to get us over the cultural tipping point, that is now within our sights. And finally, we discuss our own individual processes in unlearning the propaganda that has been fed to us over the course of our lives and how we came to reject the “it's just too complicated” narrative, that has been effectively used to discourage exploration of the truth and silence dissent. Milly discusses their own birthright trip as an anti-Zionist, seeing firsthand the nature of a program intended to recruit young Jewish people to settle in Israel...and shares some shocking details of that experience with us that you won't want to miss. On the Friday interview edition of the Daily Daily Caller Podcast, we sit down with author Ben Howe to discuss his new book, "The Immoral Majority: Why Evangelicals Chose Political Power Over Christian Values." We also get into Israel blocking entry to two Democratic congresswomen with a history of anti-Semitism, and Joe Biden slipping in the polls. Israel has refused entry to two Democratic congresswomen with a long history of anti-Semitism. Reps. Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar did not plan on meeting with any Israeli government officials, nor did they even ask. The congresswomen, both with a track record of anti-Semitic comments and associations, were blocked because Israeli law allows refusing entry to anyone who supports the Boycott, Divest, and Sanction (BDS) movement, which has been declared to be anti-Semitic by several Jewish civil rights organizations. The congresswomen, naturally, immediately played the victim card. We have the details. New polling out of Iowa is not good for Joe Biden. The more people see the former vice president the less interest they have in his candidacy. His gaffes have gotten so bad that it's to the point that some within the campaign staff are thinking of participating in fewer public events. We explain it all. Then we talk with author Ben Howe about his book "The Immoral Majority." Have evangelicals sold their political souls for political influence? Are evangelicals required to vote based on a few issues? Which takes priority: social or economic issues? Democrats are making a play for the religious vote, will it work? We get into all of it in this week's fascinating interview.
Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) is a student organization dedicated to the promotion of human rights for Palestinians. Today on Sojourner Truth, our weekly roundtable discussion. We discuss the implications and consequences of the arrest of WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange. He was taken out of the Ecuadorian embassy in London by British police, where he lived for the last seven years. He is awaiting possible extradition to the United States, where he is being charged with conspiring to crack a code that would allow illegal access to a Pentagon computer. Some are expecting that more charges will be filed by the United States against Assange. Meanwhile, U.K. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn has said that Assange should not be extradited. What does the shift to the right of governments in Central and Latin America have to do with the arrest of Assange? In particular, the change of government in Ecuador? Also, we return to turmoil in the Middle East with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu winning re-election by forming a coalition with extreme right-wing forces. What will this mean for Palestinians, Iran and the entire region? What role did Donald Trump's administration play in his re-election? Continued attacks with charges of "anti-semitism" against Congresswoman Ilhan Omar and moves by the U.S. Congress to equate the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement against Israeli policies towards Palestinians with "anti-semitism." Why are some calling U.S. Attorney General Bob Barr "Trump's mouthpiece" and "the most dangerous man in America?" What has happened to what we are taught are supposed to be checks and balances among the three branches of government? Are they broken or functioning as outlined in the U.S. Constitution? Why should any of us believe in the ability of the federal government to implement these checks and balances? Does all of this call into question what democracy actually means in the United States today? Our panelists are Laura Carlsen, Jackie Goldberg and Dr. Gerald Horne.

Today on Sojourner Truth, our weekly roundtable: The government of New Zealand's reaction to the white nationalist terror attack that left 50 dead, 29 still hospitalized, 8 of whom are in critical condition. This, in the context of the rise of white nationalism internationally and Donald Trump's reaction to it. Also, Trump in violation of international law and decades of U.S. policy announced via Twitter that the United States will recognize the Golan Heights as Israeli territory. The Golan Heights was taken from Syria and annexed by Israel, but the United Nations declared it illegal. What are the wider implications? This, as Congress moves to condemn the Boycott, Divest and Sanction (BDS) movement in the U.S., which is a peaceful protest against Israeli policies. And as freshman Democratic women shake things up in Congress, Democrats are split on whether criticism of Israeli policies against Palestinians should be categorized as anti-semitic. And on Friday, March 22, Trump met with Caribbean nations leaning to support the U.S.-backed attempted coup in Venezuela. Trump is hoping to divide and rule, as the majority of Caribbean nations have stood against Trump's push in Venezuela. Meanwhile, the Trump administration is stepping up its efforts to economically and otherwise squeeze Venezuela. Our panelists are Jackie Goldberg, Laura Carlsen and Dr. Gerald Horne.

Today on Sojourner Truth: Los Angeles is facing its first teachers strike since 1989. If negotiations continue to fail, the strike will start on Thursday, January 10. The teachers movement is part of a national movement known as Red for Ed. The Los Angeles action will follow successful teachers strikes in mainly GOP-majority states, known as red states, that swept the nation in 2018 including in West Virginia, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina and parts of Washington State. What are the demands of teachers in the Los Angeles Unified School District? Have they won any concessions from the school district and if so, are they enough to stop a strike? Our guest is Cecily Myart-Cruz, a teacher and Vice President of United Teachers of Los Angeles/NEA. Also, we return to The Congo where a mini-genocide has been taking place over the last decade, and where a presidential election is in limbo. Our guest is Assumpta Oturu, host of Spotlight Africa on Pacifica Radios KPFK. And a bipartisan Senate bill to punish supporters of the Boycott, Divest, Sanction (BDS) movement in the U.S. is being introduced. What are the implications of this bill? How does it affect defenders of Palestinian human rights? Our guest is Josh Ruebner, Policy Director of the U.S. Campaign for Palestinian Rights.

Award-winning author and host of “On Contact” Chris Hedges joins Rick Sanchez to discuss the anti-BDS legislation sweeping the US, an effort to protect Israel’s public image by muzzling the Boycott, Divestment & Sanction (BDS) movement, which seeks to put economic pressure on Israel and bring attention to the plight of the Palestinians.
