Your gifts & talents are ultimately your responsibility. You have to commit to consisently sharpening your talents. We all know the saying about hard work beating talent, but talent + genuine hard work is unstoppable!
FEB. 10, 2025Use your gifts in ministry to others."The gifts and...calling of God are irrevocable. " Ro 11:29 NKJVWhen God gives us a spiritual gift, He doesn't take it back. "The gifts and...calling of God are irrevocable. " And if God does not, we must not! Paul writes: "If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day's out. Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ's law. If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived" (Gal 6:1-3 MSG). When a brother or sister in Christ goes astray, the Bible tells us what we must do; lovingly confront them, gently correct and counsel them, and cover them. The Bible says, "Love will cover a multitude of sins" (1Pe 4:8 NKJV).Now the word "cover" doesn't mean "cover up"; it means provide a place of shelter and restoration where they can be made whole. Is restoring someone sometimes messy? Yes, especially if they have hurt others and brought embarrassment to the family of God. But that's the point… They are still our spiritual family! The world is watching to see how we handle this. If we throw away those among us who stumble, why would the world turn to us for help?Jesus healed a blind man by rubbing clay in his eyes and telling him to go and wash it off in the pool of Siloam. How far away was the pool? We don't know. But he needed someone to hold his hand and walk with him until he reached it and his sight was restored. And that's what we have been called to do.Use your gifts in ministry to others A place of shelter and restorationShare This DevotionalSend us a textSupport the showChanging Lives | Building Strong Family | Impacting Our Community For Jesus Christ!

https://youtu.be/sVFaWrHLtyw?si=zxAQk-XypEtl7qPA What's Right with You - 3 - Expert Level Success **WHAT'S RIGHT WITH YOU Bumper Welcome to Redemption Church of Plano TX. My name is Chris Fluitt! We are in the Good News Business. What's right with you Not – What's wrong with you. Last week we looked at Timmy's report card and decided to shift our focus from weakness to strength. Today – Expert Level Success Me: You know, for years I thought success was about being good at everything… Read self-help books Attend seminarsWatch every TED talk… Improve… It was exhausting. I was spreading myself thin, trying to be a jack-of-all-trades… but a master of none.Lightbulb moment - I was so busy trying to be decent at everything, I wasn't giving myself the chance to be exceptional at anything. It was like I was trying to play every instrument in the orchestra instead of mastering the one I was meant to play. WE: I bet you can relate. We live in a world obsessed with success. Social media bombards us with highlight reels of people's lives. We're constantly comparing ourselves, wondering why we're not as successful as the next person. They are good at… cooking – I'll try to be like that.home keeping – Style & fitness – Automotive repair – A decent man would be able fix up his car! Under-water basketweaving – I'd like to give that a shot. 77% of millennials (25 to 39-year-olds) 83% of Gen Z (16 to 24-year-olds) feel pressure to reach traditional life milestones earlier than previous generations. This is the thought at work… I have to be good at all the things…I have to accomplish all the things…If I don't, I am unhappy, unfulfilled, a failure… It's exhausting! But what if I told you… The key to success isn't about fixing what's wrong with you, but maximizing what's right with you? Success is not become better at all the things…Success is becoming an expert at the unique strengths God has invested in you. GOD: Let's look at a success story from the Bible – Joseph. JosephFancy Coat and Big Dreams Son of Israel/Jacob Gift from his Dad - coat of many colors. Gift from God – Spiritual Dreams & AdministrationHis gifts did not make him popular with his brothers. In fact, it landed him in a pit and then sold into slavery. Pit God's plan for us is sometimes scary. Joseph is sold into slavery to a man named Potiphar. Pit -> Potiphar God's gifting is still at work.Potiphar notices… and puts Joseph in charge of his household. (Genesis 39:4) Administrative gifting. Manages the house. BUT Potiphar's wife accuses Joseph of sexual assault- wrongfully by the way. Pit -> Potiphar -> Prison God's plan for us is sometimes scary. But God's gifting is still at work. The warden of the Prison notices… puts Joseph in charge of managing the prison. (Genesis 39:22) In the prison Joseph gets better at his gifts…He went from managing a household to managing an entire prison organization. He went from having dreams to interpreting the dreams of others. (The cupbearer and baker – Genesis 40) No matter the hardship… his gifting causes Joseph to rise. Your gifts still work in hard times This is a hard time… what should I do?USE YOUR GIFTS!The economy is rough… what should I do? USE YOUR GIFTS!My new boss hates me… what should I do?USE YOUR GIFTS!I don't fit in at school… what should I do?USE YOUR GIFTS! Use your gifts, and become an expert at your gift. – Pharaoh has a dream. None of Pharaoh's wisemen and magicians can Genesis 41 interpret the dream… The cupbearer says… I know a guy named Joseph. Joseph interprets Pharaoh's dreams. Not just give a vague interpretation; he provides a detailed analysis and a strategic plan. This plan will cause… Pharaoh to grow to be the wealthiest person in the world. Solve a regional disaster of a famine. Save countless lives – including the lives of his brothers who threw him into a pit! Joseph does not return to the prison…

10 Things We Can Learn from Joseph's Preparation • Sunday Service Website: www.PastorTodd.org To Give: www.ToddCoconato.com/give In the story of Joseph, we see a man who faced incredible challenges and yet emerged victorious because of his unwavering faith in God and his preparation for what was to come. As we look at Joseph's life, we can glean valuable lessons that are highly relevant to our current times. Here are ten things we can learn from Joseph's preparation and how we can apply them to our lives today. 1. Be Faithful in Small Things Genesis 39:4 "So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put under his authority." 2. Maintain Integrity, Even in Adversity Genesis 39:9 "There is no one greater in this house than I, nor has he kept back anything from me but you, because you are his wife. How then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?" 3. Trust God's Timing Genesis 41:14 "Then Pharaoh sent and called Joseph, and they brought him quickly out of the dungeon; and he shaved, changed his clothing, and came to Pharaoh. 4. Use Your Gifts to Serve Others Genesis 41:16 "So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, 'It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.'" 5. Plan for the Future with Wisdom Genesis 41:34-36 "Let Pharaoh do this, and let him appoint officers over the land, to collect one-fifth of the produce of the land of Egypt in the seven plentiful years. And let them gather all the food of those good years that are coming, and store up grain under the authority of Pharaoh, and let them keep food in the cities." 6. Forgive and Let Go of Bitterness Genesis 50:20 "But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive." 7. Recognize God's Sovereignty in Every Situation Genesis 45:8 "So now it was not you who sent me here, but God; and He has made me a father to Pharaoh, and lord of all his house, and a ruler throughout all the land of Egypt." 8. Stay Humble in Success Genesis 41:16 "So Joseph answered Pharaoh, saying, 'It is not in me; God will give Pharaoh an answer of peace.'" 9. Be a Source of Blessing to Others Genesis 47:12 "Then Joseph provided his father, his brothers, and all his father's household with bread, according to the number in their families." 10. Remember God's Faithfulness Genesis 50:24 "And Joseph said to his brethren, 'I am dying; but God will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land to the land of which He swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.'"

Kim Gentry Meyer has been blessed with many gifts. She is a talented poet, singer, songwriter, pianist and artist. She was Mrs. Massachusetts in 2020 and recently released her debut album entitled Herald. On this album she uses all of her God-given abilities. She wrote all of the songs, painted a different sunset for each song, sang the songs and played piano. Her goal is to use all of her gifts and talents to glorify the Lord.Kim was raised in a family with a long legacy of serving the Lord. Her two great- grandmothers were in ministry. One was an evangelist and the other was a church planter. This was back in the day when women were somewhat limited in the role they played in church, especially in the deep south. Today Kim leans into the Christian legacy of her family. With a goal to Finish Strong, one of her favorite quotes is from Erma Bombeck. It says, “When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope I can say I have nothing left. I had the privilege of sitting down with the incredibly talented Willie Shaw, a Nashville-based singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and former Maroon 5 team manager. Willie opened up about his journey from Division 1 student-athlete to successful musician, emphasizing the importance of mastering his craft and the caution that comes with pursuing mentors. He also shared how embracing love, grace, and open-mindedness helped him when his plans didn't seem to align with God's. During our very real conversation, Willie revealed how he found success in the music industry by seeking out mentorship and being brutally honest with his community. This approach allowed him to build relationships and find support, which ultimately led to opportunities to open for acts like Sammy Hagar, Old Dominion, and Brantley Gilbert. We also dug into Willie's struggles with performance-based identity, relationships, and anger, and how his faith played a significant role in overcoming these challenges. To top it all off, we explored Willie's upcoming album, which captures the spirit of the American Southwest with influences from Laurel Canyon and the Eagles. If you're a fan of that era of music and songwriting, you won't want to miss this episode. So, tune in and let Willie help you learn valuable life lessons from his inspiring journey. In this episode, my guest, Kristi Pitts, and I tackle very real issues that block us from God's plans and purposes. Here's what we cover: Do you have a place in your life that makes you feel small? A place where you have tried but failed to succeed? Maybe you have always wanted to get a degree, or you have a God-given dream that people make you feel like you could never accomplish. Do you struggle with achieving success? As a Christian, have you ever wondered if it's okay to want to be successful? Have you dealt with legalism or were you taught that success is worldly and ungodly? And here's the big question, do you believe, truly believe, that you can succeed at your goal and that it's God's will for you? Today, you will hear how Kristi found clarity with God and stepped into her purpose, how she beat the enemy's lies that were trying to derail and defeat her, and how she found success, God's way. I want to point out that This is not a prosperity teaching or name it and claim it teaching. This is scriptural and you will find freedom from the enemy's lies that have been stealing away what God has planned for you. I want you to think about this very important question, what will happen if you don't learn what God says about success and apply it to your life? Where will you be this time next year? We can do nothing apart from God but we can do all things in His strength, go to Take the God's Blueprint for Success Workshop, here, https://www.kimdolanleto.com/successworkshop to start now.
