I wanted to expand on a phrase that I hear recently from Jordan Peterson which is paraphrased as follows "each mistake you allow yourself to make brings chaos and destruction" and I thought it was such an interesting thing to say that had a deep level of truth in it. Basically today's podcast is just a journey into my mind and the thoughts rattling around in there!
I stress the importance of continuing to read/listen to books later in your life after the mandatory reading is done via school. Everyone must go through the death of someone they know and love and the path to grieving and processing isn't always clear to everyone. I want to analyze the feeling of being shorted and why we feel it. Most people experience it at one point or another, you work really hard and you feel like you aren't getting out what you're putting in! In this episode I wanted to talk about why that feeling comes up, how we can change our perspective on it and what to do to keep envy and spite away from your mind!
Agents of Positivity. The other day while talking with a subscriber about how his mood has been brought up through making small changes in his life based off of content he has seen, the idea of Agents of Positivity came to mind. If anything it's just a label for a type of person who's dedicated their reactions and natural responses to be more positive and optimistic. This is a LOT more work than most people realize but the benefits of it are huge!
Thinking a certain way in an obsessive manner can lead to really obscure value systems and beliefs which can ultimately lead to very destructive parameters and restrictions which become really hard to turn around. I want to share with you a few stories I heard this weekend that reminded me of a struggle that I faced for a while that spawned from extremely obsessive thinking.
I explore the idea of being a spectator in life that doesn't take action to improve whatever they are focused on. This episode dives into the negative effects of spectating and weighing in on things without taking action. Enjoy!
I had a very odd scenario play out in my head while doing cardio this week (blame the cardio) and this episode is definitely abstract and only for those who want to spend a little time thinking about a weird scenario that life could be. The whole thing has a positive message about why we should live our lives to our best capability but the sci-fi might be interesting for some of you!
