The boys have one of the boys and Nashville comedian, Nate Bargatze. The boys get right into some of Nate’s old jobs that he had when he was a kid. One of the jobs that he hated actually made it onto an episode of Dirty Jobs. Then the boys get into how Nate started his comedy career. Instead of moving straight to New York from Nashville, he did a little time in Chicago before he finally decided to make the move to New York. Nate talks about the New York comedy scene and how crazy/overwhelming it can be as there are thousands of comedians trying to make it. He says fighting your way through the different types of comedy is how you really become good and is how you find your style/voice. Nate gets into some comedians he had a little bit of a run in with but has since ironed things out with. He tells the story of Louis CK publicly embarrassing him at a show and making fun of one of the jokes Nate told during his set. However, Nate says he was able to make sense of it all because at the time he had only been in comedy for 5 years. Nate talks about the different advice he gives to younger comedians which is interesting to hear. The boys end the pod talking about why Nate decided to be a clean comedian, why he decided to stop drinking and how good Scientology is at recruiting people. Chaque année, chacun d'entre nous produit près de huit kilos de déchets électroniques. À l'échelle mondiale, cela représente 62 millions de tonnes en 2022. Un volume colossal… et surtout en constante augmentation. Le problème, c'est que cette masse croît cinq fois plus vite que les capacités de recyclage. Résultat : une grande partie de ces déchets finit enfouie ou incinérée, avec des conséquences environnementales bien réelles.Recycler ces objets reste un défi technique. Nos appareils sont conçus comme des assemblages complexes : plastiques, métaux, composants électroniques… souvent imbriqués de manière indissociable. Et c'est encore plus vrai pour les robots dits “souples”, de plus en plus utilisés en agriculture ou en médecine. Ces machines combinent des matériaux avancés comme des polymères élastiques, des alliages métalliques et des semi-conducteurs, le tout difficile à séparer en fin de vie.Mais une équipe de chercheurs sud-coréens, issue de l'Université nationale de Séoul et de l'Université Sogang, propose une piste radicalement différente : concevoir des robots… entièrement biodégradables. Leur étude, publiée dans la revue Nature Sustainability, présente un robot souple capable de se décomposer sans laisser de trace toxique. Pour y parvenir, les scientifiques ont utilisé un matériau structurel particulier, un polymère biodégradable appelé poly(sébacate de glycérol), ou PGS. Ce type de matériau, que l'on appelle un élastomère, possède des propriétés proches du caoutchouc tout en étant capable de se dégrader naturellement.À cela s'ajoutent des composants électroniques eux aussi biodégradables, fabriqués à partir de matériaux comme le magnésium, le molybdène ou encore le silicium, choisis pour leur capacité à se dissoudre progressivement dans l'environnement sans danger. Malgré cette conception inédite, les performances sont au rendez-vous. Le robot peut embarquer des capteurs de température ou d'humidité, produire de la chaleur ou même administrer des médicaments. Et surtout, il reste fonctionnel après un million de cycles d'utilisation, preuve de sa robustesse. Avec des prix de l'électricité parmi les plus bas d'Afrique de l'Est, le marché des véhicules électriques décolle en Tanzanie. Une opportunité saisie par l'entreprise JTP, parmi les premières à proposer des modèles utilitaires 100 % électriques, avec l'ambition de verdir les transports tout en réduisant les coûts. Un tour de clé, quelques bips à peine audibles : le camion de deux tonnes est en marche. Le modèle Sasa EV, entièrement électrique, se distingue par son silence. Mais au-delà de l'argument écologique, c'est surtout son coût d'exploitation qui séduit. « Comparé à un camion traditionnel, avec la crise du pétrole et les prix actuels, on économise jusqu'à 90 % du coût par kilomètre », affirme Amar Shangavi, directeur et fondateur de JTP. Une recharge complète coûte environ 4 euros pour une autonomie de 250 kilomètres. À titre de comparaison, avec un litre d'essence à 1,25 euro à Dar es Salaam, parcourir la même distance reviendrait à plus de 28 euros pour un véhicule thermique. JTP propose une gamme variée, de la voiture compacte au van en passant par les SUV, tous importés de Chine. « Le marché chinois est aujourd'hui saturé. Les constructeurs cherchent donc à exporter, et l'Afrique est bien placée pour bénéficier de ces prix compétitifs », explique Amar Shangavi. Des infrastructures encore limitées Des prix attractifs, mais également une expertise désormais reconnue dans l'électrique : des arguments qui ont convaincu Matthew Haden, fondateur de l'entreprise de recyclage The Recycler, parmi les premiers clients de JTP. Mais des interrogations subsistent : « La Tanzanie n'est pas la Chine. Nous avons des pluies intenses, des routes abîmées… Il faut voir comment les véhicules tiennent ici, et surtout comment accéder aux pièces détachées et assurer les réparations rapidement. » Autre obstacle majeur : le réseau de recharge, encore embryonnaire. Le pays ne compte qu'une quinzaine de bornes, principalement dans les grandes villes, et les coupures de courant restent fréquentes. « Nous développons actuellement des stations de recharge à Dar es Salaam. L'objectif est de permettre des recharges rapides, même en cas de coupure nocturne », assure Amar Shangavi. Le gouvernement tanzanien vise 500 bornes d'ici 2030. Avec plus de 60 % de son électricité issue de sources renouvelables, la Tanzanie dispose d'un atout majeur pour accompagner cette transition. Pact Collective isn't the first company to try to solve the beauty industry's waste problem. But in four short years, it's already become the most successful.  “It feels like a really exciting time for the industry, but we've still got a lot of work to do,” Carly Snider, executive director of Pact Collective, told Glossy. “We [as an industry] are creating 120 billion units of beauty packaging globally and only a fraction of those are recycled or reused.”  This widely-shared statistic was one catalyst for Pact's launch in 2021 as a nonprofit industry collective founded by retailer Credo Beauty and clean cosmetics brand MOB Beauty.  Today, Pact has many pillars. First, it serves as a recycling alternative to city-run curbside bins and private recycling initiatives. The concept is simple: Educate consumers about their products' end-of-life while creating a data-driven, closed-loop system that reduces waste through in-store collection bins and consumer-friendly mail-back programs.  Pact has been embraced by the industry and actively has 3,300 collection bins across the U.S. and Canada in retailers like Sephora, Ulta Beauty, Credo Beauty, Nordstrom and many more. It also works with brands like L'Oréal USA, Fenty Beauty and Summer Fridays.  Growth across its packaging collection program has helped the company meet volume collection requirements for its biggest program of 2024: a closed-loop manufacturing initiative called New Matter. The initiative debuted in September with pumps made from recovered plastic. “I didn't imagine this level of growth so soon,” Snider said. “Right now we have 150 members across the entire supply chain [including] brands, retailers, packaging suppliers, media, you name it. … If you're working within this space, we want you to have a seat at the table. We want to have your voice heard, because it's an all-hands-on-deck situation.” In today's episode, Snider discusses Pact's growth, including its plans to get recycle bins into non-retail locations like colleges and libraries and exactly what happens to the empty packaging it collects. Snider also addresses how brands and retailers can lessen their environmental footprint and educate consumers on recycling nuances. This includes backlash over buzzy fragrance brand Boy Smells' new rebrand; Sephora as a bright spot in LVMH's disappointing earnings; and Amorepacific's plans to reshore manufacturing to the U.S. amid mounting tariffs.

La plupart des gens ont besoin de voir un message plusieurs fois avant qu'il ne commence à avoir un impact. C'est comme entendre une nouvelle chanson géniale ; la première fois que vous l'écoutez, vous ressentez beaucoup moins de plaisir qu'une fois que vous l'avez entendu plusieurs fois. Voir le même message plusieurs fois est souhaitable d'un point de vue marketing.——Recycler ça commence par republier son contenu plusieurs foisRecycler c'est scaler son volume de contenu mais aussi exploiter la durée de mémorisation modeste de nos audiences.Un contenu qui a été posté il y a 6 mois, 1 an ou plus peut toujours faire le job.S'il véhicule le bon message de marque on peut le conserver à l'identique.N'oublions pas qu'en organique vos contenus ne seront vus que par une partie très modeste de vos audiences.Si j'ajoute à ça le fait que nos audiences ont une faculté de mémorisation extrêmement modeste…Il n'y a aucun scrupule à republier plusieurs fois un même contenu à l'identique ! -Si on est puristes on peut aussi faire un léger relift.La même vidéo Reel ou TikTok mais avec une vignette différente.Le même carrousel mais dans un ordre différent.——Recycler son contenu c'est aussi tactique.Ca permet de saisir différents moments d'attentionTout est histoire de micro-moments d'attention.Une vidéo Youtube ou un podcast vont nécessiter un temps long de concentration.Un short ou une vidéo Tiktok sera davantage adaptée à un moment plus brefs d'attention.Il y a une vraie synergie à mettre en place dans ses stratégies de contenus et multiplier ses chances de faire passer son message pendant différents moments d'attention.Par exemple :Redécoupez vos formats longs en vidéos courtesTransformez vos stories éphémères en videosVotre dernier shooting photos peut devenir une vidéo Mashup—Plus globalement : Recyclez vos messages ! Il y a la forme mais le fond aussi doit être recyclé.Vous avez écrit un script efficace pour une vidéo présentant un produit.Gardez précieusement votre script, vos messages et recyclez moi tout ça en carrousel ou en story ! Taylor gets into a tragedy that happened at the Lewan household and that Beer Olympics has dropped. Following the intro, the boys have one of the boys and Nashville comedian, Nate Bargatze. The boys get right into some of Nate's old jobs that he had when he was a kid. One of the jobs that he hated actually made it onto an episode of Dirty Jobs. Then the boys get into how Nate started his comedy career. Instead of moving straight to New York from Nashville, he did a little time in Chicago before he finally decided to make the move to New York. Nate talks about the New York comedy scene and how crazy/overwhelming it can be as there are thousands of comedians trying to make it. He says fighting your way through the different types of comedy is how you really become good and is how you find your style/voice. Nate gets into some comedians he had a little bit of a run in with but has since ironed things out with. He tells the story of Louis CK publicly embarrassing him at a show and making fun of one of the jokes Nate told during his set. However, Nate says he was able to make sense of it all because at the time he had only been in comedy for 5 years. Nate talks about the different advice he gives to younger comedians which is interesting to hear. The boys end the pod talking about why Nate decided to be a clean comedian, why he decided to stop drinking and how good Scientology is at recruiting people. Nate is really just one of the guys and tells some really good stories throughout the episode that you won't want to miss.
