For the first time ever they've recorded a Patio Pound Off pitting two fresh value priced white wines against each other: 2017 Essay Chenin Blanc/ Viognier / Rousanne from South Africa vs. Pine Ridge Chenin Blanc / Viognier from California. Chateau Ste. Michelle wine estates new 2016 Borne of Fire Cabernet Sauvignon gets both the “Sexiest Review” treatment, and the “Don't Believe the Hype” award.

In anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day, Nate & Orey discuss a bevy of Irish beverages, and wines that thankfully aren’t from Ireland. Self-driving cars being a boon for the beverage industry is in the news. “Under the Radar” picks are Five Farms Irish Cream Liqueur, Teeling Single Grain Irish Whiskey, Ercavio Tempranillo from Spain, and 3 Sheeps Brewing’s Cashmere Hammer Nitro Stout. In the “Don’t Believe the Hype” section Bailey’s Strawberries & Cream Liqueur, and Guinness Blonde American Lager are both scrutinized for being unnecessary line extensions. In “Is It Worth It” 2012 Zind-Humbrecht "Hengst" Gewürztraminer Grand Cru from Alsace, France gets love for being the perfect splurge for spring and a white wine for long-term aging.

The Drank boys ponder where esteemed wine critic Robert Parker has been since not publishing any reviews since October 2017. In the "Under the Radar" section, explore Pipeworks Brewing's Lizard King Mosaic Hopped Pale Ale, the 2015 Georg Albrecht Schneider Niersteiner Hipping Riesling Spatlese (simply delicious, so get over the long name). In "Don't Believe the Hype" David Ramey's Sidebar Sauvignon Blanc splits the room. The "Sexiest Review" goes to a cheeky yet delicious California Syrah/Grenache blend called #PureYum. Orey surprises Nate with a tasty dram of the Midleton Very Rare Irish Whiskey so he can determine "Is it Worth It".

Orey tricks Nate into drinking a Six Point High-Res triple IPA. Big love is given to 1792 Small Batch Bourbon and the 2016 Para Maria Syrah/Petite Verdot red blend from Santa Barbara, California in the "Under the Radar" section. The Drank boys get turned on by the 2012 Marqués de Murrieta Reserva Rioja for the "Sexiest Review". During "Is it Worth it" a glowing endorsement is given to the 2013 Monte Rosso Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon from Louis Martini.

The Drank boys laugh it up over how ridiculous the Rosé trend has gotten, and they give lots of love to the new Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue American Pale Ale brewed in Iowa. The hype behind the new Jameson Irish Whiskey aged in IPA barrels is questioned. "Under the Radar" finds great value in Douglas Green Sauvignon Blanc from South Africa, and Two Hands Sexy Beast Cabernet Sauvignon ftom Australia. "Sexiest Review" is the Martinelli Bella Vigne Pinot Noir from the Sonoma Coast. During the "Is It Worth It" section our humble narrators drink Evil Twin Brewing's $9 can of Bozo Beer.

"Under The Radar" features the Epic Son of a Baptist Stout from Colorado, and two gorgeous dry white wines from Italy: La Spinetta's Vermentino from Tuscany, and Feudi di San Gregorio's Falanghina from Campania. "Don't Believe The Hype" ponders how Santa Margherita Pinot Grigio has become so popular. "Sexiest Review" gets dirty with Russell's Reserve 6 Year Old Rye.
