What does the rest of the season look like for Texas A&M? How do we feel about the duality of Taylen Green at Arkansas? Is this the year Iowa State wins the Big 12? Plus, we play a game of Under-The-Radar, as suggested by our Verballerhood, and highlight the players, position groups, teams and stats that are most flying under-the-radar a month into the season. Music website, gig guide and ticketing platform Under The Radar celebrates it's 20th birthday this month It's become one of the foundations of the Aotearoa music scene, and a go to website for many music fans around the motu. Founder and current Editor Daryl Fincham speaks to Jesse.
That's right…This episode marks the end of an era for me. From People Skills Radio, to the Musician's Guide To Surviving the Rock Star Lifestyle to the Music Fit Podcast, and its final iteration, Under The Radar, it's time I put this baby to rest. That means this spot will also get a re-brand… And I'm currently waiting for all my files to download from Instagram so I can reset over there and use it as a shop window. That's right, I'm done with the virtual insanity…I'm taking a break from a lot of the online world - social media in particular, as I've found it interferes with me being my best in creating connections. Real connections with real people. That said, I'd love your help. Are you feeling this too? Weight in below for me…And also… I'd love to know…And lastly…To show you the direction I'm going to see if you wanna come along for the ride, I'd love to gift you a book I wrote last week called “The ABCs of Creating Connection: A Guide To Building Meaningful Relationships.”Head to my website, www.mikedrop.ca grab a free copy and let me know what you think. That's all I've got for y'all today. Thanks so much for the support, folks. Enjoy the rest of your day! This is a public episode. We're thrilled to welcome the co-writers of Morning Sun and many more incredible tracks to the podcast - Richard Scott and Scott Ralph. We're excited that Rich has returned to the show after we interviewed him and his brothers Kelvin Andrews and Danny Spencer in 2022. This time we're also joined by their longtime friend Scott Ralph, the final quarter of Robbie's songwriting crew from Stoke-On-Trent. Scott shares what happened when he was invited to LA to write with Robbie alongside his friends, and recalls some hilarious (and embarrassing!) moments. Rich and Scott have penned lots of swing-style songs with Robbie such as Soda Pop and On The Fence, as well as Under The Radar classics like Super Tony and Underkill. We hear about UFO hunts and an impromptu Gollum cameo at a BRITS after-party - we didn't stop laughing throughout and can see why Rob loves writing with his Stokie mates.======If there is an advert in this episode details will appear below:============**About Robbie Williams Rewind**Join husband and wife Matt and Lucy, as they rewind through legendary pop star Robbie Williams' solo career. The Agents Angle - The World's Premier Football (Soccer) Agent Show
***UNSCHEDULED EPISODE & EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW *** Following a week where a FIFA appeal over an injunction blocking the introduction of new football agent regulations was rejected by a court in Germany, 'The Agents Angle' presents an unscheduled bonus episode on the injunction and FIFAs failed appeal over the FFAR (FIFA Football Agent Regulations). Bringing you an exclusive interview with Michael Frank, one of the agents who led that challenge - a case that resulted in an injunction that arguably gave FFAR its first 'bloody nose', and prompted other such challenges and subsequent blows to FIFA's problematic agent regulation proposals. And whilst this could be perceived by some as the 'beginning of the end' for FFAR as we know it, the European 'elephant in the room' that is seemingly FIFA's 'last hope', is still lurking in the shadows and could potentially make matters far worse for everyone in the future. Have you ever considered the profound impact that creativity has on our well-being? Jason Pickard joins me on the show today sharing his insights on how the highs and lows of a musician's life can take a toll on mental and financial health. We delve into the strategies that help strike a harmonious balance between the chaos of an artist's schedule and the pursuit of well-being, discussing the true wealth found not only in financial success but also in nurturing relationships and savouring life's simple joys. Some highlights from today are...Creativity and its essence as more than just an artistic endeavour—it's a way of solving problems uniquely and in harmony with the world. As broadcast October 10, 2023 with plenty of friends in tow. Tonight we open with David Skimming, the mastermind behind the Lunar Isles project, which has made some of the best guitar-centric surf dreams in indie anywhere over the past few years, not just in Korea. His latest is a lovely upbeat affair that is the perfect way to get back into the mode after the Busking World Cup and a bevvy of holidays here in Korea. After that, we had plenty of friends to ride with tonight, as Broken Baby, Scoobert Doobert, and Otis Kane all had fresh cuts to feature in part one, and there was plenty more in store after that with notable joints just out from Masego, Meernaa, veronicavon, Kevin Abstract, and a slew of other worthies, including a great new album from Norwegian cinematic instrumental outfit Orion's Belte called Women, which is absolutely superb and full of surprises.#feelthegravityUTR 10/10/2023Under The RadarTracklist (st:rt)Part 1 (00:00)Lunar Isles – ArrivalScoobert Doobert – All I NeedWild Nothing – Dial ToneBroken Baby – Ugly Polo & Pan – ChamallowKraak & Smaak feat Otis Kane – Ready for YaIzyBeats w/ Masego & Toian – Tipsy Part 2 (33:04)Meernaa – Love Is GoodRobohands – DrivenHoly Hive & The Shacks – Middle of the NightMndsgn – MakeUsuper natural lime – The Boat Pelicat – Safe & Soundveronicavon - Dreamgirl Part 3 (61:13)Katie Ferrara – Loud and ProudHoneywhip – PolaroidKevin Abstract – Blanket bed bug guru – Tightrope Born Days – DreamsA Beacon School – Mantra Part 4 (91:16)Busty & The Bass feat Son Little – Give Me A SmileHala – Run to YouPrateek Kuhad – MulaqatLake Street Dive feat Madison Cunningham – Neighbor SongGeorgia Gets By – Fish Bird Baby BoyOrions Belte feat Oyvind Torvund – I Will Always Miss YouOrions Belte feat Louien – When You're Gone I'll Be Gone

Crown Royal Black is the definition of an UNDER THE RADAR whisky, as it is widely overshadowed by regular Crown and the fact that it's a Canadian whisky, to begin with. But, despite both of these facts, Crown Black persists for a small, but discerning group of whisky lovers. The "black" moniker is used in a variety of spirits, but the most popular of these if Johnnie Walker, another Diageo brand. While Johnnie Black denotes the smokier whiskies used in the blend, the "black" in Crown Royal refers to the higher portion of bourbon-like whisky used along with the slightly higher 90 proof point. On the nose, typical Crown vanilla, maple, and artificial grape. On the palate a LOT more oak than the typical Crown with black currant, cinnamon oak, and cherry pie added to the typical grape juice-like profile. It takes the light, fruity, chewiness of Crown and pairs with the backbone of subtle oak and rich bourbon spice. It's still not a challenging whisky to drink, but every once in a while you just want some pleasure for free!
Is abortion a necessity for military readiness? A Biden administration official says "yes" - adding that abortion a “sacred obligation.” We discuss this and the growing list of men caught drugging pregnant women with abortion drugs, and a new “civility score” for podcasts and what that could mean for those who dare to tell the truth about abortion. Plus, recent interviews with a “pro-life politician,” reveals why we need to be asking the right questions about the unborn to those running for any office. So, we will use this segment as a way to discuss some of the news we didn't touch on throughout the month For this 5th episode: Erika decided to discuss - The French People Battle Pension Reform in Paris ARTICLE: https://unicornriot.ninja/2023/the-french-people-battle-pension-reform-in-paris/ I decided to discuss - 15 Million Could Lose Medicaid Coverage As Pandemic-Era Enrollment Unwinds ARTICLE: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kO3yloFv5bY Drop a comment or send me a DM and let me know what you thought of the episode. We had the pleasure of interviewing The Moss over Zoom video! The Moss has quickly earned a rapturous fanbase with their euphoric live show and the recent release of their Insomnia EP on S-Curve / Hollywood Records. Earning acclaim from Under The Radar, The Alternative, LADYGUNN, Earmilk, Atwood, Ones To Watch and much more, the band just wrapped up a nearly sold out western U.S. headline tour.Hailed for bringing their youthful exuberance and alternative-rock swagger to the studio and the stage, EP title track “Insomnia” has become a breakout single for the band following major support from key Alternative radio outlets which has led to their first Alternative radio chart debut. The song has just cracked the Alternative Radio Top 20 at #18 with over 7M streams and has landed on many new playlists including Spotify (ALT NOW), Apple (ALT CTRL) + Amazon Music (Alternative Hits). “Insomnia is a bittersweet song about passing the point in a relationship where you can't sleep at night when you are away from them,” says frontman Tyke James.Originating on the shores of Oahu as teenage buddies, Tyke James (vocals/guitar) and Addison Sharp (guitar) traded in beaches for the Great Salt Lake joining forces with Willie Fowler (drums) Caiden Jackson (bass) to form The Moss. The band's blazing success has landed them on a number of festivals this past year including Life Is Beautiful and The Festival at Sandpoint as well as landing on Pandora's Artists to Watch in 2023. Their unique blend of indie surf-pop, grunge-rock and '60s-blues quickly caught on as the band actively curated a community of inclusivity and environmentalism. No matter how listeners choose to interact with The Moss's music, the band just hopes they feel something. It's that kinetic relationship between band and audience that makes their live performances – including a pitch-perfect recent set for Audiotree – so compelling. “No matter what we do, we want to make sure the songs are fun to play live,” says Fowler. “We pride ourselves on being a band people want to see live.”We want to hear from you!
