Last year saw Alabama State finally get over the FAMU sized hump in the schedule in a very lopsided victory over the home Rattlers. Alabama A&M and Florida A&M University is not a rivalry of any sort, especially on the football field. This is largely because the Bulldogs have yet to defeat the Rattlers since the two have been in the SWAC. Well this year the teams meet again with the hopes that we will see more of the same. FAMU Softball did not finish the way that we hoped for but it was the ending that many of us expected. While FAMU baseball prepares for the SWAC tournament as the three seed with the hopes that the team can make some upsets to win the entire thing. FAMU basketball fans are either thankful that it's over or really proud of what the teams accomplished. On one end the Men's basketball team fell short as the two seed in the SWAC tournament at a time when they were the highest seed left in the tournament. The Basketball teams have losing streaks but the track team is finding its stride and the spring sports start this week.But the big news in Rattler Nation is the success of the Restore the Strike fund raiser. In order for you to get a job most times you have to first apply for the job. FAMUans and many around the nation hope that one candidate in particular has applied for the FAMU football coaches job. While the football coaching job does not seem that it has been posted the rest of the events on campus persist.
