In this episode, the Playmakers shared their thoughts on the Orange Blossom Classic game between FAMU and Howard, as well as the surprising victory of Florida State over Alabama in week 1. They also discussed the epic showdown between Texas and Ohio State in week 1 and the trade of Micah Parsons to the Packers.

The Orange Blossom Classic was nothing less than an abject disaster on one side of the field. The offense was anemic and left the fanbase asking questions that will haunt them for weeks. Chief among those questions will be centered around the quarterback position and if change is needed or should the staff dig in its heels behind RJ.It was a poor showing from that offense and that has to correctedBut the Defense and Special teams were a bright spot in what otherwise proved to be a disappointing outcome.While the football team massively fumbled the bag, the Volleyball team gave us some hope. Let's talk about FAMULY, I picked FAMU to win based on what I was told the QB position might be but now have reservations after seeing otherwise. The Orange Blossom Classic is the season opener and what is Miami without a good party? But the party only goes well if we win and the last time FAMU played Howard it was for the Celebration Bowl in Atlanta at the end of the Season. This time the team opens the season in a rivalry which will allow the fans between the two schools to show who has the better party and who has the better team. Jackson State absolutely obliterated Florida A&M in the Orange Blossom Classic while Shedeur Sanders dominated the Rattlers through the air. Overall, FAMU looked like they didn't belong on the field with JSU and worse than they looked against University of North Carolina. The preseason SWAC player of the year started his sophomore campaign with 17 completions in a row and more touchdowns than incompletions against one of the best perceived teams in HBCU football. Defensively, they dominated Jeremy Moussa and forced Resean McKay into the game. Southern and Grambling had 2 drastically different week 1 performances. Southern dominated a NAIA school, showing they were focused enough to not take their foot off the gas and handle business. Grambling on the other hand faced off against FBS Arkansas State.
