Can you believe how one date can make or break a relationship? Join us as we unravel the dramatic conclusion of Jenn's season on The Bachelor, starting with the Fantasy Suites. Jonathan's date felt more predictable than a rom-com rerun, leading to his exit despite the potential for a deep, slow-burn romance. We dive into Marcus's half-hearted commitment and Devin's manipulative maneuvers, which cloud their prospects with Jenn. The Men Tell All segment ramps up the drama, giving us even more to dissect.Family dynamics take center stage in the finale as the final two contestants meet Jenn's protective brother and cautious mother. Devin's pressure tactics and Marcus's hesitance come under intense scrutiny. The tension is palpable as Jen's family voices their skepticism, especially about Devin's intentions. How will familial skepticism and cultural nuances influence Jenn's final decision? We break it all down, contrasting the family's reactions to Devin and Marcus. The rollercoaster continues post-finale with Devin's unsettling behavior igniting public outrage. His ghosting, social media antics, and a controversial video only add fuel to the fire. Jeremy and Jonathan's involvement brings an extra layer of complexity, particularly Jonathan's concern for Devin's mental health. We also reminisce about classic TV moments and share our excitement for Jenn's upcoming performance on Dancing with the Stars. Plus, don't miss our sneak peek into possible candidates for the Golden Bachelorette in our next episode. It's time for Episode 8 of Roots Music Rambler! Join us – hosts Francesca Folinazzo, who Jason calls “Frank,” and Jason Falls, who goes by “Falls” most of the time, as we explore the real roots of the music we love. On this episode we dig into the eclectic world of artist, musician and bonafide Eastern Kentuckian John Haywood. Not only is John an “old time” banjo player, but also leads a heavy metal band while being an artist and running a tattoo parlor during the day. He hails from Prestonsburg, Kentucky, just a hop, skip and a jump from Pikeville, where Falls grew up. The conversation was fascinating as Haywood explains the difference in mountain banjo versus bluegrass banjo, how bluegrass and heavy metal music are intertwined, and how his childhood and background with and without music shaped his life as an artist. His latest banjo album is called Upon My Word and Honor, which John explains was a phrase his papaw used to say, but he didn't quite hear correctly. The heavy metal band is called Appalachiatari and can be found on Spotify. His website is full of his artwork and his tattoo parlor can be found on Instagram.    Frank and Falls also share some fun stories about their first concerts. Falls cringes at his and just cackled at Francesca's teen heartthrob first show. She recovered, though, with the story of seeing U2 during The Joshua Tree concert. Falls also offers a sneak peek at a very cool future episode. He is traveling to Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates for his work life and is planning to interview Mohammad Dohai, a concert oud performer (an Arabic instrument similar to a lute or mandolin).   As usual, the two have some recommendations for new music in the Pickin' the Grinnin' segment as well that includes a new album from a notable Americana singer. Buckle up for The Hoe-Down and the Throw-Down! It's a new episode of Roots Music Rambler. Synopsis In 1935, a 26-year-old American named Elliott Carter returned to the States after composition studies in Paris with Nadia Boulanger. Carter found work as the music director of Ballet Caravan, an ambitious and enterprising touring ensemble whose mission was to present specially-commissioned new dance works on quintessentially American themes. Virgil Thomson, for example, wrote a ballet entitled "Filling Station," and Carter himself, decades before the animated Disney movie, wrote a ballet version of the story of Pocahontas and John Smith. While on tour, these new scores were presented in two-piano versions, but on today's date in 1939, the orchestral version of Carter's "Pocahontas" Ballet was presented by the Ballet Caravan at its home base at the Martin Beck Theater in New York. The New York Times reviewer didn't much care for the staging or Carter's music: "The costumes are in the manner of the old-fashioned cigar box Indian," he wrote, "and after the first amusing glimpse their psuedo-naiveté begins to grow irksome. Mr. Carter's music is so thick it is hard to see the stage through it." The Times reviewer DID like another new ballet also receiving its orchestral debut that same night. This was Aaron Copland's "Billy the Kid.” "A perfectly delightful piece of work," enthused the same critic, concluding, "Aaron Copland has furnished an admirable score, warm and human, and with not a wasted note about it anywhere." Dottie Kelly was born in West Palm Beach, FL, on March 13. She moved to Clearwater, FL, where she attended St. Pete Junior College and earned her Associates degree in accounting. Dottie sang in a Baptist church, which is where she developed her talent for singing. She would later follow her Aunt Betty Padgett, a well-known singer out of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, to her various shows. Aunt Betty Padgett eventually asked Dottie to sing background with her and Joey Gilmore. From that point on, Dottie has traveled to various states, and opened for many artists from around the world. Those experiences mixed with pure raw talent, have made her a bona fide soul singer. Dottie released her 1st promo CD in 2012 and Single Dec 2020. "I Don't Want No Man Like You". Now released CD on March 18, “Dancing Shoes”. She performed with Darrell Raines, Otis Cadillac, TKBlu Band, Ladies of Soul, and the legendary Joey Gilmore Band.
