Today, there are more than 2 million descendants of French-Canadian immigrants living in New England. This is our story. Welcome to the French-Canadian Legacy Podcast.

Listeners of French-Canadian Legacy Podcast that love the show mention:The French-Canadian Legacy Podcast is an outstanding show that delves into the rich culture and history of the Franco community. Hosted by Jesse Martineau, this podcast is a treasure trove of fascinating stories and interviews that keep listeners hooked from start to finish. With its high-energy and engaging conversations, it's no wonder I often find myself having "driveway moments" where I can't bear to turn off the car until I hear the end of a guest's story.
One of the best aspects of this podcast is Jesse's exceptional hosting skills. He knows how to keep the energy up and the conversation moving, ensuring that every episode is captivating from beginning to end. Furthermore, the selection of guests on this show is impressive, with each episode bringing forth unique perspectives and insights into Franco culture. From Lise Pelletier discussing Acadian heritage to other incredible individuals within the community, there is always something new and interesting to learn.
On the downside, one could argue that waiting for new episodes can be a bit challenging. The urge to binge-listen to all available episodes at once is strong due to their quality and addictive nature. While this speaks volumes about the podcast's appeal, it can also lead to impatience when eagerly awaiting future episodes.
In conclusion, The French-Canadian Legacy Podcast is an absolute gem for anyone interested in learning more about Franco culture and heritage. With its captivating storytelling, excellent hosting, and diverse range of guests, this show offers a wealth of knowledge in an entertaining format. As someone with a personal connection to French Canadian roots myself, I am grateful for this podcast as it allows me to deepen my understanding and appreciation for my own heritage. I highly recommend giving it a listen - you won't be disappointed!

Jesse was excited to be interviewed by Radio Canada, in French, so for anyone who might be joining us from Québec for the first time, we wanted to re-release the first episode we every recorded in French. Click below to listen to Jesse's interview and to learn about this interview with Jean-Philippe L'Etoile. Interview with Radio-Canada - https://ici.radio-canada.ca/ohdio/balados/33/le-radiojournal/669515/radiojournal-du-21-novembre-8-h-00 We have discussed Jesse's attempts to learn French many times on the podcast. However, for the first time ever, Jesse attempts to have an entire episode in French. Joining him is his friend Jean-Philippe L'Étoile, who he met through the podcast. As a warning, there will be many errors in grammar and vocabulary. Also, since Mike doesn't speak French, things that would normally have been edited out have not been. But we did our best, and we think it is important to try to speak the language that is so important to us. We're happy to have one of our first guests returning this week. Abby Paige was on episode 7 and she talked about her show "Piecework: When We Were French". In a few weeks her new show will be opening at The Lost Nation Theater and it's called "Les Filles du QUOI?". She performed an early version of it at the Rassemblement in 2019 and we'll learn about it's evolution since then. Abby will also talk about some of the other amazing projects she's been working on.
