The Union Cabinet has approved the Fugitive Economic Offenders Ordinance 2018. This would help in laying down measures to deter economic offenders from evading the process of Indian law by remaining outside the jurisdiction of Indian courts.The ordinance states to re-establish the rule of law with respect to the fugitive economic offenders as they would be forced to return to India to face trial for scheduled offences. This would also help the banks and other financial institutions to achieve higher recovery from financial defaults committed by such fugitive economic offenders, improving the financial health of such institutions.

उत्तर प्रदेश के मुख्यमंत्री बनने के बाद योगी आदित्यनाथ की सरकार को रामराज्य की सरकार कहा जा रहा है. लेकिन अब इस सरकार पर यह आरोप लग रहा है की बलात्कार के आरोप में फंसे उनके एक विधयाक को सरकार बचने का काम कर रही है. उन्नाव से चार बार विधायक रहे कुलदीप संगर और उनके भाई समेत कई लोगो पर एक महिला ने बलात्कार का आरोप लगाया है लेकिन पुलिस ने इस मामले में कोई भी ठोस करवाई नहीं की. वहीँ पीड़ित महिला के पिता की पुलिस हिरासत में मौत होने से मामले ने और भी तुल पकड़ लिया है.

"इस महीने ने में यह दूसरा भारत बंद बुलाया गया है. पहला बंद दलितों ने आरक्षण और सप्रीम कोर्ट के फैसले के खिलाफ बुलाया था, तो वहीं दूसरा बंद सवर्ण समुदाय के लोगों ने आरक्षण के विरोध में बुलाया है. एडीजी लॉ एंड आर्डर आनंद कुमार के अनुसार पुलिस अधिकारीयों को शांति व कानून व्यवस्था बनाए रखने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं. एहतियातन चार जिलों में इंटरनेट सेवा भी बंद कर दी गई है."
