Proactive - Interviews for investors
EnergyPathways secures major MESH milestones with ABP partnership and gas storage licence

Proactive - Interviews for investors

EnergyPathways CEO Ben Clube joined Steve Darling from Proactive to announce two significant developments for the company's flagship Marram Energy Storage Hub (MESH) project, including a strategic collaboration agreement with Associated British Ports (ABP) and confirmation that its wholly owned subsidiary, EnergyPathways Irish Sea Limited, is set to be awarded a Gas Storage Licence (GSL) by the North Sea Transition Authority. Clube described the announcements as major steps forward in advancing what is expected to become Britain's largest integrated energy storage project. Designated a project of “national significance” by the UK Government, MESH is designed to strengthen the country's energy security, support the transition to cleaner energy sources, and help reduce long-term energy costs for consumers and industry. The collaboration agreement with ABP, the UK's largest ports group, will see the two companies jointly evaluate the Port of Barrow in Cumbria as a potential location for critical onshore infrastructure supporting the MESH development. Located in the Irish Sea and connected to Barrow-in-Furness, the project combines compressed air energy storage (CAES) with large-scale natural gas and hydrogen storage, utilizing offshore salt cavern infrastructure to create a highly scalable and cost-effective energy storage solution. Under the agreement, EnergyPathways and ABP will assess the feasibility of developing a range of facilities at the Port of Barrow, including a CAES operations base, natural gas and hydrogen storage operations centres, and key connection infrastructure linking offshore storage assets to onshore energy networks. These facilities are expected to play a central role in supporting future project operations and ensuring efficient integration with the UK's energy system. Alongside the ABP partnership, EnergyPathways announced that EnergyPathways Irish Sea Limited is expected to receive a Gas Storage Licence from the North Sea Transition Authority. The licence covers a substantial offshore area capable of supporting the development of up to 60 large-scale salt storage caverns, providing the potential for multi-terawatt-hour energy storage capacity. Management believes the licence represents a critical regulatory milestone for MESH, reinforcing the project's strategic importance within the UK's future energy infrastructure. The large-scale storage capacity could support not only natural gas storage but also future hydrogen storage and compressed air energy storage applications, helping address intermittency challenges associated with renewable energy generation while improving long-term energy resilience. Subject to the necessary approvals and financing, EnergyPathways is targeting MESH to enter operation in 2031. The company believes the project has the potential to become one of Europe's most important integrated energy storage developments, providing critical infrastructure to support decarbonization, energy security, and industrial growth for decades to come. #proactiveinvestors #energypathways #aim #epp #energy #MESH #EnergyStorage #Hydrogen #CompressedAirEnergyStorage #CleanEnergy #UKEnergy #EnergySecurity #AssociatedBritishPorts #RenewableEnergy

In Part 1, John Fargher took us back to the beginning, exploring the early days of AgriWebb and the farming families who backed a young ag tech company long before the rest of the industry could see what it would become. If you haven't listened to that one yet, we recommend starting there.  In Part 2, the story gets bigger.  Because beneath the global partnerships and the rapid growth, this episode is really about how farming families move from recording the past to actually getting ahead of it.  At the centre of it all is still the farm business itself. The producer who knows their country better than anyone but is making critical decisions without the right information in front of them. The family navigating rising expectations around data, sustainability, succession, and performance, often without the tools or support to do it confidently.   John talks openly about the gap between what is possible and what most farming families are actually doing, and how AgriWebb's direct to farm model is closing that gap every day. Their collaboration with Figured takes it even further, finally connecting the operational and financial picture of a farm business in one place, so that the decisions being made on the ground are backed by the numbers that matter.  In this episode, we explore:  How AgriWebb's two-part business model works and why the enterprise model is unlocking value for farmers in ways the industry has never seen before  The Sainsbury's and ABP partnership, six years in, 500+ farms, and results th

Send us Fan MailThe American Board of Pediatrics (ABP) recently announced a move toward competency-based subspecialty training that would shorten fellowships — including neonatology — from three years to two. The proposal has sent shockwaves through the training community. In this episode, Daphna sits down with three leaders from the Organization of Neonatal Perinatal Training Program Directors (ONTPD): Dr. Patrick Myers from Northwestern, Dr. Heather French from the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, and Dr. Melissa Scala from Stanford. Together, they break down what competency-based medical education actually means in practice, why the math simply doesn't add up when applied to neonatology, and what this could mean for procedural training, scholarly activity, fellow well-being, and ultimately patient care. They also address the workforce concerns driving the ABP's proposal, share survey data from program directors across the country, and offer concrete alternative pathways forward. The message from the field is clear: the community wants to innovate — but they want a seat at the table first.Support the showAs always, feel free to send us questions, comments, or suggestions to our email: nicupodcast@gmail.com. Send us Fan MailDr. Satyan Lakshminrusimha, pediatric chair and neonatologist, joins Ben hot off the ONTPD meeting to share his perspective on the ABP fellowship reform debate — and it's more nuanced than a simple yes or no to a two-year fellowship. He argues that the real problem is a six-year training pipeline that is driving medical students away from pediatric subspecialties under crushing debt, and that the solution for procedure-heavy specialties like neonatology is not to shorten fellowship but to truncate the pediatric residency to two years — following the precedent already set by pediatric neurology. He also makes the case that the workforce crisis is ultimately an entry ticket problem: before debating fellowship length, we need to convince more medical students to choose pediatrics in the first place, and more pediatric residents to choose subspecialty training before it's too late.Support the showAs always, feel free to send us questions, comments, or suggestions to our email: nicupodcast@gmail.com. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

In discussion with Rob Feltham, Tatiana Rowson describes how the world is experiencing an unprecedented demographic shift in the profile of the workforce. People today are living longer and often healthier lives than ever before in history and are increasingly also working into much later life than has been the case in the past. What is frequently overlooked is that it is not just the length of people's working lives that is changing, but also the nature of those working lives. Tatiana challenges the continuing value of concepts like ‘development' and ‘work-life balance' and outlines a model of personal leadership which enables individuals to exercise agency and choice and to create more sustainable and fulfilling working lives for themselves, particularly from mid career onwards.  Dr Tatiana S. On this episode of Questions with Father, we address one of the most contested documents of the Second Vatican Council: Dignitatis Humanae. Fr. Paul Robinson joins us to ask the hard question: can this declaration on religious liberty be reconciled with the traditional teaching of the Church? We will explore the Society of Saint Pius X's objections to this declaration, the pre-conciliar magisterium, and the post-conciliar attempts to reinterpret this controversial document. From Fr. Bernard Lucien's modern defense to Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger's 1987 reply to Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, this episode critically examines religious liberty, human dignity, and the nature of truth in public life. Although the traditional Latin Mass is the most visible and public expression of the work of the Society, we are committed to defending Catholic Tradition in its entirety: all of Catholic doctrine and morals as the Church has always defended them. What people need is the Catholic Faith, without compromise, with all the truth and beauty which accompanies it. https://sspx.org
