On Thursday's Mark Levin Show, the Senate parliamentarian is blocking Medicaid changes to waste, fraud, and abuse in the big, beautiful bill. House Republicans proposed tightening Medicaid eligibility with work requirements and restrictions on illegal aliens, but the Senate parliamentarian deemed these changes outside budget reconciliation, exposing the bill to a filibuster. The Senate's decision not to challenge this ruling perpetuates Medicaid misuse. Additionally, the Senate opposes raising the $10,000 cap on home mortgage interest and property tax deductions, disproportionately affecting taxpayers in high-tax blue states. We need to maximize tax deductions for individuals no matter if they live in a blue or a red state. Presidents Reagan and Trump's tax policies fueled economic growth. Also, Zohran Mamdani, a New York City mayoral candidate, is a dangerous Marxist Islamist with ties to anti-Semitic and anti-Israel activities. Mamdani's proposals, including city-owned grocery stores, massive tax increases, and refusing to cooperate with ICE, are policies that could drive out productive residents, attract welfare-seekers, Islamists, and Marxists, and lead to economic disaster for New York City. If Mamdani gets elected you will see authoritarian democracy in NYC. Authoritarian democracies mimic authoritarian regimes, using seemingly legitimate legal processes—such as passing tyrannical laws or disregarding due process—to justify power, prioritizing legality over justice or morality. Later, John Catsimatidis, owner of Red Apple Media and grocery chains Gristedes and D'Agostino Supermarkets, calls in to warn that he'll close his grocery stores if Mamdani wins the NYC mayor race. Catsimatidis explains that Mamdani's policies, including massive tax increases and defunding the police, would drive businesses out and harm the city's economy. In addition, capitalism drives innovation and improves quality of life by creating wealth through valuable goods and services, such as grocery store chains offering affordable, diverse food options. In contrast, Marxism destroys societies without producing tangible benefits. Capitalism underpins everyday conveniences—clean water, electricity, advanced healthcare, and mobility—unmatched globally. Marxist and socialist ideologies promise unattainable utopias while overlooking capitalism's capacity to foster equality through social mobility, enabling anyone to rise from poverty to wealth. Finally, Johnny Joey Jones calls in to discuss his new book, Behind the Badge – Answering The Call To Serve on America's Homefront. Learn more about your ad choices. In a fiery and urgent breakdown, Tara exposes what mainstream media won't: Operation Midnight Hammer wasn't just a military strike—it was a wake-up call. Listeners react with overwhelming support for Trump's bold move to target Iran's nuclear program, a threat decades in the making. General Raisin Kane declares U.S. readiness, while new revelations show China's direct involvement in building Iran's nuclear infrastructure and guiding Houthi strikes on U.S. vessels. From Iranian assassination plots to Chinese signal jammers flooding our borders, Tara argues we are already at war—a stealth, asymmetrical war we've refused to name. As Democrats cry foul and media downplay the threat, this segment demands an answer: What happens next time Iran comes for us? A must-listen for anyone who wants to understand what's really at stake—and why, for the first time in decades, America may have finally punched back at the right target.
While the world fixates on Israel, it is Iran's terror networks, proxy wars, and nuclear ambitions that pose the greatest threat to regional stability.

What was the biggest surprise in the past week? Israel's massive and nearly instantaneous defenestration of Iran's regime reminds both Andrew Malcolm and myself of the destruction of Hezbollah last year. We talk about the implications for the region, and what the US might do to hasten the end of the conflict. We also talk about Democrats' resistance to voter incentives and disincentives and wonder what is truly driving them to champion the 20% positions in American life.

In this explosive episode, we're joined by John Wiber for a deep dive into the global agenda of the elites—how they manufacture division, exploit tragedy, and keep us distracted by pointing fingers at each other instead of at them. We unpack the deeper meaning behind the LA riots, discuss Elon Musk and Trump's roles in shaping public perception, and explore how real events are often weaponized to gain control. But rather than staying stuck in the blame game, we shift the focus: How can we reclaim our power? How do we rise above the chaos and focus on evolving ourselves, not fighting shadows? What happens when a physician becomes the keeper of history? In this episode, we dive into the powerful intersection of family legacy and historical preservation with Dr. Rob Wolf. While maintaining his medical career, Dr. Wolf embraced an equally vital role—transforming his father's autobiography into the critically acclaimed book "Not a Real Enemy." This cloak-and-dagger adventure follows his father Ervin's journey through antisemitism, danger, and ultimately hope, during the Holocaust and the Hungarian Revolution of 1956. While Rob grew up aware of his father's story, it wasn't until after his mother's passing that he fully committed to sharing this "fantastic and inspiring story" with the world. Discernment: Cruciformity is Active, Not Passive. On this episode of the Voxology podcast, Mike Erre and Tim Stafford focus on discernment in faith, the essence of Christian identity, and the importance of critiquing ideologies rather than individuals. They emphasize the need for community engagement and humanizing conversations across divides, particularly in the context of immigration and societal issues. Further, Tim and Mike explore the complexities of homelessness, systemic issues, and the role of faith in addressing societal challenges. They discuss the importance of understanding the root causes of homelessness, the church's responsibility in promoting human flourishing, and the significance of inclusivity at Jesus' table. The dialogue also delves into the church's political involvement, the concept of cruciformity, and the challenges of navigating emotional overload while advocating for justice. Ultimately, they emphasize the need for a Christ-like approach to engagement in the world. Robert J. Wolf grew up hearing the powerful stories of his father, who was once a spoiled only child until his world and the world of his parents was drastically changed overnight. Wolf's family history is marked by profound loss; his grandparents perished at Auschwitz, victims of atrocities that stripped countless people of even the most basic freedoms, like voting or owning a radio. These experiences shaped Robert's perspective, leading him to write about the lessons we can learn from the past—especially how easily lives of comfort can change and the importance of appreciating and defending the freedoms many take for granted today. On this powerful episode of Better Call Daddy, hosts Reena Watts and Wayne Friedman are joined by Dr. Robert J. Wolf, author and son of Hungarian Holocaust survivors. Dr. Wolf shares the extraordinary story behind his book, "Not a Real Enemy," chronicling his family's harrowing escapes from Nazi-occupied Hungary, their resilience through the Holocaust, and their search for safety and freedom. Together, they explore the enduring impact of antisemitism, the miracles that shaped his father's survival, and the universal lessons about courage, humility, and hope. Tune in as Dr. Wolf opens up about what it means to carry on his family's legacy, the importance of educating future generations about the dangers of hatred, and the ongoing fight against antisemitism in the modern world. With reflections from Reena's own father, you'll hear how the lessons of the past can help light the way forward, not just for the Jewish community—but for anyone who values tolerance, compassion, and the fight for freedom. Not A Real Enemy – Robert Wolf, MD Throughout history, there are stories that shake us to our core—stories of unimaginable loss, but also of resilience, courage, and the indomitable will to survive. Today, we're bringing you one such story—one that remains largely untold but is as poignant and relevant as ever. It's a journey through the horrors of the Holocaust, the iron grip of communism, and the enduring spirit of one man and his family. This is a story of survival against all odds, a testament to the strength of the human spirit, and a tribute to those who never had the chance to share their voices. It's an honor to welcome Dr. Robert Wolf, the author of “Not a Real Enemy: The True Story of a Jewish Man's Fight for Freedom,”, a deeply personal and compelling narrative that takes us from the streets of Hungary to the death camps of Auschwitz and beyond. Dr. Robert Wolf is a man with a profound personal connection to one of the darkest chapters in human history. His book, “Not a Real Enemy: The True Story of a Jewish Man's Fight for Freedom,” tells the harrowing yet inspiring story of his father, Ervin Wolf, who survived the Holocaust not once - but twice, only to face the oppressive grip of communism in post-war Hungary. Through meticulous research and heartfelt storytelling, Robert brings to life the struggles, victories, and heartbreaks of his family's journey from persecution to freedom. His book not only honors the memory of his grandparents, Joseph and Kamilla Wolf, who perished at Auschwitz, but also serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience and hope that carried survivors forward. Today, we'll dive into this incredible story and uncover the lessons it holds for us all.Your book, “Not a Real Enemy,” is both a tribute and a deeply personal journey. What was the emotional process like for you as you uncovered and told your family's story? Your father, Ervin, displayed remarkable resilience, escaping the Nazis twice and later the communists. What do you believe was the driving force behind his will to survive and fight for freedom? The Holocaust has been widely documented, yet the story of the Jewish community in Győr, Hungary, remains relatively unknown. Why do you think this chapter of history has received so little attention?Survival stories often come with moments of impossible choices. Can you share some of the key decisions your father had to make, and how they shaped the course of his life? You weave together historical context and personal narrative almost seamlessly in the book. What were some of the challenges you faced in balancing historical accuracy with storytelling? How has your family's history influenced your own perspective on life and identity? Dr. Wolf, this has been so interesting. How can someone obtain a copy of your book? I take it is on Amazon? If someone has a question or would like more information or would like to invite you onto an interview such as this… how can they do that? How can someone get in touch with you? I'll put links to all of this in the show notes below!Folks, Dr. Robert Wolf's “Not a Real Enemy: The True Story of a Jewish Man's Fight for Freedom,” is more than just a personal story—it's a powerful testament to the resilience of the human spirit in the face of unimaginable darkness. As we reflect on his family's journey, may we be reminded of the importance of...
Dave Brisbin 2.2.25 Would Jesus have been a Republican or Democrat? What seems like the setup to a joke is being asked in all seriousness. Two weeks into a controversial administration, I'm hearing people ask how a good Christian could possibly vote… How a Christian pastor could possibly support… An Episcopal bishop and a sitting president both state that God is on their side while remaining flatly opposed to one another. Near the end of the Civil War, Lincoln said that both North and South read the same bible, pray to the same God, invoke God's aid against the other, but the prayers of both could not be answered, that of neither had been answered fully. Once we see an enemy, we imagine God is on our side, because we only have an enemy if we are certain we are right. An enemy is the wrong one. God is never wrong, so God is on our side, because we are right. Blaise Pascal said that people never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction. Truth is, the real enemy is not the other tribe— the real enemy is the certainty that makes the other tribe an enemy. We're all co-opting God to our side, our tribe. It's natural for anyone who reveres Jesus, or the authority of his name, to imagine he is in their camp. But what does the record show? Jesus made his own followers crazy, over and over…every time they became certain of their positions, thought they had him figured out, domesticated, he rocked them back on their heels. For anyone with an agenda, he was frustrating, infuriating, unexpected, outrageous, an equal opportunity offender of anyone who was seeing the enemies of their certainty. Jesus refused to be co-opted into any camp. Whatever political beliefs he had are not preserved in the gospels, meaning they were irrelevant to his message. They never created enemies for him because his primary identity was not in camp or tribe, but in oneness with his Father. If we can only see truth in our own tribe, we'll see enemies everywhere, but we won't see Jesus. He's in the space between camps, where the real enemy is not another tribe, but the certainty that makes enemies of everyone else.

Purchase The Disengaged Teen at https://rebeccawinthrop.com --- In this episode of WISE On Air, we dive into a critical conversation about teen disengagement with Rebecca Winthrop, co-author of the newly released book "The Disengaged Teen: Helping Kids Learn Better, Feel Better, and Live Better." Rebecca, who serves as a senior fellow and director of the Center for Universal Education at Brookings, brings fresh insights from her groundbreaking research, which reveals a startling disconnect: while parents think 60% of kids love school, the reality is that by 12th grade, only 25% actually do. Her book, which launched with conversations featuring Gayle King and Drew Barrymore on Oprah Daily, offers a powerful framework for understanding how teens engage with learning and what we can do to help them thrive. Through extensive research involving hundreds of interviews with students, parents, and educators, Rebecca and her co-author Jenny Anderson identify four distinct modes of engagement that shape how teens approach learning. More importantly, they provide practical strategies for parents and educators to help teens develop what they call "explorer muscles" - the skills needed to navigate an increasingly complex world. The timing couldn't be more crucial. With rapid technological changes and evolving workplace demands, helping teens become engaged learners isn't just about academic success - it's about preparing them for a future where adaptability and self-directed learning are essential skills. Who is the real enemy we face in life? Today, we look at a powerful moment in Acts 13 where Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, confronts a sorcerer who tried to stop the spread of the good news. This encounter reminds us that our battle is not with people but with the darker spiritual forces at work. Paul's courage and conviction encourage us to stand firm, put on God's armor, and resist the schemes of the enemy. Let's keep our hearts strong, be gracious with others, and walk in the victory Christ has given us. For more information, visit lakepointe.church/dailydrive
My guest today on the Online for Authors podcast is Robert J Wolf, author of the book Not a Real Enemy. Robert is a neuroradiologist who attended the University of Michigan Medical School and completed his training at Brown and Yale Universities. He grew up in a suburb of Detroit as the only child of Ervin and Judit Wolf. Their stories of their escape from communist Hungary, and his father's tragic history of escaping the Nazis twice but losing his own parents, inspired Robert to document his parents' tales and share those stories with Jewish groups, history aficionados, and biography lovers throughout the United States, Europe, and elsewhere. In Not a Real Enemy Robert shares his family saga—and the forgotten history of the nearly half million Hungarian Jews who were deported and killed during the Holocaust—through an epic and inspiring tale of daring escapes, terrifying oppression, tragedy, and triumph. In my book review, I stated 'Not A Real Enemy: The True Story of a Hungarian Jewish Man's Fight for Freedom is an amazing family Holocaust memoir that reads more like a novel. I was brought into the story through the main character, Ervin Wolf, the father of the author - and I turned the pages as quickly as I could until I reached the end. Ervin begins life as a doctor's son and ends life as a doctor in the United States. Everything in between shows the reader the brutalities of the Nazi regime and then the Soviet communists who came after. The story left me wondering if I would have survived? If I would have had the gumption to escape not once, not twice, but three times? It showed me that freedom is something we should value beyond almost everything else. History wants to bury the ugliness that was the Holocaust. Thankfully, memoirs like this and the bravery of authors like Robert make that impossible. Well done. Your biggest enemy is never who you think it is. It's nearly NEVER your ex-husband, ex-wife, mother-in-law, mom or dad, other kid in band, or the girl whose Instagram account gets so much more traction than yours. Nope. It almost NEVER is. Your biggest enemy is nearly always in your head (thinking) or in your heart (feelings) - and may, in fact, be the devil, himself. In this message, Max Vanderpool teaches on the fall of Jericho (when the walls came tumbling down) and what we can learn about God, about ourselves, and about our true enemies.
