We brought Dr. Erika back to the studio! Part one of, "Let's Talk About Sex" was our most viewed podcast, which told us you wanted more! In a world where discussions about intimacy remain shrouded in shame and secrecy, the topic of sex has become an unspoken enigma, creating a pervasive culture of misinformation, discomfort, and isolation. As a result, individuals often struggle with self-acceptance, body image issues, and a lack of accurate information, feeling safe with their partners, and being open. The necessity to destigmatize the discourse surrounding sex has become more urgent than ever before. By breaking down the walls of silence and judgment, we can empower people to embrace their sexuality with confidence and make informed decisions about their bodies and relationships. Through accurate education, open dialogue, and destigmatization efforts, we can help shift perceptions, fostering a more inclusive and accepting society. As we navigate the path towards healthier, happier relationships with ourselves and others, it's time to transform the way we talk about and engage with the profound realm of human intimacy. Episode 6. We are in a funky time right now in the Boudoir industry. Many thoughts and emotions flying everywhere. After hearing all stories of what happened at the Boudoir Class in Hawaii and reading all the testimonies, I was profoundly moved, specifically by Andrea's apologetic video that she posted. I will NEVER make a determination of someone until I can say that I have given them a fair chance to show me who they are and after reaching out to Andrea, she humbly accepted my request to interview her. I always try to go based off of my own opinions and not the opinions of others. In her video, Andrea took 100% accountability for her faults and also touched on some of her own personal reasons why she believed she may have not been as present. I understood her more! I felt she was in no way shape or form making her trauma an excuse, but rather giving people a deep look into who she is as a person, I felt intrigued by her. We are all some type of fu$%ed up that many times we forget to give grace to others. Andrea was so very transparent with me and truly an open book when sharing her life trauma and experiences. I wanted to dive into who Andrea Mendoza was even more and why she moves the way she does. Wow, did she take me on a ride! We chatted for a little over 2 hours on this podcast. It was very deep and heartfelt for me for sure. I believe if we can give people a little more grace and try to understand them a little more, we can grow and move towards a better outcome in future endeavors. It's always important to remember that we are all human beings at the end of the day and do the best that we can. You can find Andrea at : andiboudoir.com

We are continuing down the mindset avenue and focusing a little more on what most call fear, but I call insecurity. I challenge my listeners to research the word fear and then research the body and how it is designed to function in the face of fear. Your autonomic system provides HUGE amounts of energy and chemicals to your body when it feels that it is in danger. Your body was not made to withstand that type of energy and or chemicals for long periods of time, only short bursts. While this function was designed to keep us out of imminent danger, we as humans have taught our brains to turn this function on in times that are unnecessary. This in turn keeps our body in a state of stress, which then impacts our health! It is time to call fear out and put it in its place! Let's start to take the word fear out of our vocabulary and replace it with what it typically is; insecurity. I'm not in fear for my life to get up and speak, I'm insecure. I'm not in fear for my life to go and talk to a love interest, I'm just insecure. When you use the word insecurity, although it may not feel as nice to the ego, you actually take the power away from fear. When you take the power away from fear, you open up your life to a whole new prospect of opportunities! So let's dive in a bit more, Between the Sheets! Like and Subscribe Share your thoughts!
I'm afraid to speak. I'm afraid they won't like me. I'm afraid that I might fail. I'm afraid they might reject me. I'm afraid it's going to hurt! These are just some of the many things that we tell ourselves. Did you know these thoughts have nothing to do with fear? These thoughts have everything to do with insecurities within. So how do we build confidence? How do we begin to rewire our thoughts? Listen in for some great advice and tips on how to overcome. Please Like and Subscribe Share your thoughts!

In this special episode of BTS, we look over some of our episodes and the evolution of the podcast with special guest Dana Keith in the house. We have a Doctor in the house! Erika Karpman PhD. LCSW. M. Ed. Sex Therapist. She isn't just any Doctor, this Doc specializes in Sex Therapy. In this episode of BTS we dive into getting very comfortable with talking about SEX. Why have we made this topic so taboo? Sex is everywhere, and we have to get more comfortable talking about it first with our spouses and significant others than in general. Did you know that over half of women never have a penetrative orgasm? Why? What could be some of the reasons for this? Many couples live in resentment with one another because they are just too uncomfortable to speak openly and freely with no judgment of what they want in the bedroom. In this part one podcast, we are going to answer a lot of questions that came up to us before the podcast and want to get your input and other questions when we have Erika back! Thanks for listening.

I was so thankful to have this very real and open conversation with this couple. We ask some very raw questions about growing up being black and being gay. How did their own families adjust or NOT adjust? Sometimes within our own community of family, we are more judged, than by others outside of our direct circle. We hear two very different viewpoints from both of these women. Also, has things changed for them? Do they still feel stigmas when out and about in their very own hometown of Colorado? We are willing to have these conversations to learn, grow and understand. It sometimes takes learning about the adversities that some individuals go through and have had to overcome before we can make changes in our own thoughts and how we view people. So who is Dana Keith? It is definitely time to dive into this man's story just a bit.Every story is built not only of highlights, but also and probably most importantly the broken pieces that were all trying to mold together.I have been witness to this man's fall, but also the great triumph of pulling himself back up despite the toiling world pressing in.He is in the process of figuring out balance in being a single dad, scaling as an entrepreneur, and fighting against the inner personal demons that we all have.He believes that should you fail you actually succeed. He believes that no matter the pain that someone or something may have caused you, though it may have not been your fault, it's definitely your responsibility to move past it.You don't want to miss part one of this story. Dropping tomorrow on Spotify and YouTube.
There's a stigma about desiring money, but why wouldn't you want to have financial freedom and be better positioned to help those in need? Here we talk about our money mindsets. What was instilled in us, what we have heard, learned and what also stops us from creating more!We dive deep into this conversation and ALOT more in Between the Sheets With Lea, Dana and Whitney
We are going deep this episode talking generational curses, paradigm thinking, and nature versus nurture. How have all of these things had an effect on each of our individual lives? How have these things shaped our personality, our decisions, and some of our core-based beliefs? Let's get intimate, let's get real in between the sheets with Lea, Whitney, Dana, and special guest Wanda Wood.
Lack and scarcity believe it or not is another mindset that people tend to have. Whether it was instilled in us in our own environment or something that we latched on to, this mindset is a deterrent of ABUNDANCE. When we cling to something so hard no matter what it is, we are saying that we believe that there is not enough and therefore we are coming from a place of scarcity. In this episode, we learn about Joey Patrick and the NO SHINE Project in the Boudoir Suite and how he came from a place of lack and was determined to pull himself through it in all aspects of his life. We learn how he made a practice to have an abundance mindset over lack and scarcity and how that has helped him succeed not only in his business right here in the heart of Fountain Colorado, but as well in all areas of his life.
