Most people think imposter syndrome means you secretly doubt your abilities. It doesn't. AJ and Johnny break down why many high performers feel socially “under-ranked” even after earning success. The problem isn't competence — it's local status. Your title, income, and credentials may get you into the room, but the room still reads your signals: your pace, presence, eye contact, and how much you seek validation. This episode explores the four hidden loops that quietly fuel status anxiety — performance, credential stacking, validation seeking, and withdrawal — and how to recalibrate your social confidence without faking it. 5/3/2026 Mark 3:1-5 They Still Are Trying To Destroy Jesus Intro: There has been a world at war with Jesus Christ since AD 33. It is a shame that you will hear the name of Jesus more in a secular movie than you will hear it in churches today and among Christians. Of course movies use the name of our precious Lord as a cuss word blasphemously! Peter who many believe dictated the book to Mark… talks about Jesus and those who wanted to destroy Him. Mark presents Jesus actions as the Savior-King who conquers demons, disease and death.

Big Red Bus – Episode 245 - Still Trying to Win Show Summary Title: Still Running for WinsDate: March 14, 2026Hosts: See Red Fred & Doug Thonus Show Opening The episode begins with See Red Fred introducing the show on a cold mid-March day in Chicago, welcoming co-host Doug Thonus as the Big Red Bus rolls again. Fred briefly notes: The podcast is now officially part of the All-City Network. Listener feedback has been very positive so far. The hosts plan to increase fan engagement, including future mailbag segments. Fred thanks listeners who send emails to seeredfred@gmail.com. The hosts plan to introduce regular listener mailbag episodes every couple weeks. Main Discussion Topic Bulls West Coast Trip: Wins vs Draft Position The first major segment centers on the Bulls' recent wins over the Phoenix Suns and Golden State Warriors during their West Coast trip. While many fans celebrated the victories, Fred strongly disagrees with the enthusiasm, arguing that these wins hurt the Bulls' long-term future. Fred's Argument: Winning Now Hurts the Bulls Fred explains his core frustration: The Bulls are fighting for meaningless late-season wins These wins reduce their chances of landing a top-four draft pick A top-four pick is the best chance to add a true superstar He emphasizes that: Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis both had excellent games. However, their development could have happened even in losses. Fred argues the Bulls should prioritize development while still losing games to protect lottery odds. The Draft Odds Problem Fred highlights the specific statistical consequences of winning: If the Bulls finish with a better record than Milwaukee, their odds of a top-four pick could drop from: ~20% chance to ~13% chance That 7-percentage-point drop is the central issue driving his frustration. Fred calls these victories: “dumb, idiotic, meaningless March wins.” Comparison to Memphis Fred contrasts the Bulls with the Memphis Grizzlies, who he believes are clearly managing minutes to maximize lottery odds. He argues Memphis is: Limiting key players' minutes Prioritizing draft positioning Meanwhile, the Bulls are: Playing young stars 40+ minutes Prioritizing wins over long-term strategy Fred points specifically to the Golden State game, where both Giddey and Buzelis played more than 40 minutes. He believes simply reducing their minutes slightly could have resulted in a loss while still allowing development. The Future Core Debate Fred lays out his vision for the Bulls' future roster. Current Core He believes: Josh Giddey Matas Buzelis are legitimate foundational pieces. However, he views them as: Potential #2 or #3 options Not franchise-level superstars Therefore the Bulls still need one true elite star. The Target: A.J. Dybantsa A player with true franchise-changing upside Someone who could elevate the Bulls into championship contention Fred argues a core of: A.J. DeBonsa Matas Buzelis Josh Giddey would give the Bulls the foundation of a serious contender. But he stresses: The only realistic path to DeBonsa is landing in the top four of the draft lottery. Veteran Management Debate The hosts briefly discuss the possibility of removing veterans like: Collin Sexton Anfernee Simons Fred agrees with Doug that cutting them now would be a mistake. Reasons include: Damaging relationships with players and agents Hurting the Bulls' reputation with future free agents Fred says the real mistake was not moving these players earlier. Front Office Criticism Fred predicts the current Bulls leadership will eventually be fired. His reasoning: The franchise has produced only one playoff win. The team risks being stuck in “play-in purgatory”. He warns the Bulls could remain permanently mediocre if they fail to maximize this draft opportunity. Fred argues that a roster built only around Giddey and Buzelis might top out as: A 50 win ceiling team at best. Without the top-tier superstar needed to win a title Closing Thoughts of the Segment Fred reiterates his central point: The Bulls should focus on maximizing draft odds, not chasing late-season wins. He believes the current strategy sacrifices the chance to add a true franchise-altering player, which is far more valuable than winning games in March. ✅ Segment End Point: This summary covers the first portion of the show up until the conversation transitions to Leonard Miller (22:00). Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company. See pcm.adswizz.com for information about our collection and use of personal data for advertising.

If your ex is still controlling you and you keep reacting, explaining, or trying to keep the peace… you might be actively hurting your legal case without even realizing it.Because here's the thing: divorce doesn't cure controlling behavior—it often exposes it. And control doesn't always look loud. Sometimes it looks “polite.” Sometimes it looks like silence. Sometimes it looks like a thousand tiny moments that make your stomach drop.In this episode of How Not to Suck at Divorce, attorney Morgan Stogsdill and comedian Andrea Rappaport break down what control looks like after separation, why it escalates, and the legal + emotional action steps to shut it down. And yes—there's also a story involving a tambourine, a fire-lit “happiness class,” and a man casually threatening everyone with a tombstone. (Welcome to the show.)What You'll Learn in This Episode✅ How control shows up during divorce (even when it's not obvious)Morgan explains that control can look like:Financial control: “I'll pay when I feel like it,” monitoring spending, moving goalpostsMicromanaging parenting and second-guessing everything you doWeaponized silence / delayed responses to make you spiralMaking you feel like you need permission for decisions you don't need permission for“Polite” manipulation disguised as “concern for the kids”Why control often escalates after separationAndrea explains the psychology: when someone loses access and power, they often pull harder—because control is how they regulate their discomfort. The dangerous legal issue most people miss: “splitting”Morgan explains how controlling behavior can drive a wedge between you and your attorney—making you doubt your lawyer, hold back details, or get pulled into the ex's narrative. That's not just stressful. It can derail your strategy and cost you serious money. The communication trap that keeps you stuckIf your nervous system is hijacked every time they text you, you'll default to the old pattern:ReactingOver-explainingTrying to smooth things overTrying to get them to “understand”Which gives them exactly what they want: access. The Tools That Help You Stop the Control1) Tighten the structure (legally + logistically)Morgan explains why vague agreements don't work with controlling people. Example of vague: “reasonable communication.” Problem: “reasonable” becomes a playground for manipulation.2) Reduce accessBecause (say it with us): control fades when access fades. That may mean:limiting communicationusing a parenting appnot responding to baitpushing...
Mike Mulligan and David Haugh welcomed on Leila Rahimi and Marshall Harris for the daily transition segment.
Raw honesty can sound louder than any guest panel, and today it fills the room. I open up about running solo, why Liam's juggling parent life, how Mike's been stepping up behind the scenes, and the personal storm that's been brewing—family hospital runs, money stress, and a friendship I wish I handled better. The heart of it, though, is a tour through social anxiety and depression without the gloss: misreading social cues, panic that hijacks a good opportunity, and the long, awkward road from “what's wrong with me” to a clear diagnosis and a workable plan.I walk through medication not as a magic fix but as a messy process that includes bad side effects, honest conversations with a doctor, and incremental wins that barely look like wins. Think midnight mail runs that feel like heists, exposure that shows up as a weekly ritual, and experiments that redirect energy away from replaying the past. We dig into the mental habit of worshiping “what if” and pivot toward “what next,” using simple tools: pick one guitar string, take the smallest hike, sit at a park chess table with a stranger, or try a class that lets you fail safely. Anxiety management, mental health resilience, and self‑compassion aren't big speeches—they're repeatable moves.I also stack the ledger fairly: the awards, the skills, the trust of people who chose me for safety on hard trails. Those moments count, especially when shame tries to erase them. If you're navigating social anxiety, depression, or just a season where everything feels heavy, consider this your nudge to run a tiny experiment and see if tomorrow shifts by five percent. The nation's newest military service still has a lot of work to do to chart its future. The Space Force had been planning to use a new “Futures Command” to handle that work, and it was supposed to be up and running by last year. That didn't happen as scheduled. But the idea's not dead either. Leaders say they're still planning a new organization to help shape the service's future, but they also needed to make sure it aligns with the new administration's priorities. Send us a textA single kind gesture can flip an entire day—and sometimes an entire town. That's the spark behind this heart-forward conversation with musician and photographer Cathy Catterson, where we explore how small, visible acts of care become a neighborhood's safety net. From a local pizza shop offering slices to anyone who's hungry to little free libraries turning into little free pantries, we trace the real-world ways generosity scales at the community level long before it trends online. We dig into the practical side of compassion: how to support small businesses so they can keep serving as hubs for connection, why paying in cash can ease fee burdens, and what happens when a town rallies to keep doors open. Cathy shares stories from her life—a bumper crop of tomatoes, childhood memories of shared garden plots, and the simple power of a sincere compliment—to show how micro-kindness improves mental health, reduces conflict, and fuels civic pride. We don't dodge the hard questions either. Yes, a few people may misuse help, but the cost of withholding aid from those in need is far higher. The takeaway is clear: better to feed ten and risk one extra than to starve the nine who depend on you. You'll leave with concrete ideas you can try today: restock a pantry, offer a ride to a food shelf, compliment a stranger, or spend intentionally at a family-owned shop. Kindness is a practice, and practice builds culture. Listen to hear how creativity, empathy, and action intersect—and why your smallest gesture might start the next ripple of change. If this conversation moved you, share it with a friend, subscribe for more stories of everyday goodness, and leave a quick review to help others find the show. A Note from James:Tim Dillon is crazy—in the best way. Not “institution” crazy. Crazy smart. Years ago he told me things about Epstein, hustle culture, and how the world really works that felt outlandish then and obvious now. He's quirky, honest, and usually right about what to pay attention to. Also, he's flat-out funny. Let's bring Tim back and see how much of that old conversation still hits today.Episode Description:This redux revisits James's conversation with comedian Tim Dillon on narratives, media incentives, and why “it's all a game.” Tim argues that most public debates are programmed like a TV network—stars, storylines, and predictable reactions—while the real action is off-camera. They examine why certain stories (Epstein, “suppressed” segments, political theater) catch fire and others vanish, the line between authenticity and performance in comedy, and how creators can actually build careers without gatekeepers. It's a practical episode about staying sane—less who's right, more how to think. What You'll Learn:A “game” heuristic for news and politics: spot the incentives (access, ads, algorithms) before you react to the headline. An authenticity filter for creators: why work rooted in your own experience connects—and how to test if a bit or idea is “real enough” to spread.A simple media-diet protocol: cross-reference sources and avoid getting “programmed” into outrage cycles.Platform strategy 101 for comics and solo creators: post consistently, control distribution, and stop waiting for gatekeepers to bless you.Career anti-fragility for uncertain times: ignore hustle theater; build repeatable systems that survive algorithm and industry swings.Timestamped Chapters:[00:02] A Note from James — Why Tim's “crazy smart” observations aged well.[03:09] Ignorance vs. Happiness — “If you learn how the world works, you won't be happier—unless you make it fun.”[06:21] News Is a Bridge to the Next Ad Break — Access, scoops, and why some stories never see daylight.[08:25] History You Don't Hear About — Smedley Butler, coups, and how missing chapters change the plot.[10:28] The Epstein Loop — From wall-to-wall coverage to silence—and what “access journalism” rewards.[15:38] How to Be Informed Without Going Insane — Cross-checking and opting out.[24:03] Rage, Class, and the Party at the Top — Why “difference” wins in politics and comedy.[38:04] UBI, Automation, and Fear Narratives — What's real risk vs. campaign theater.[01:24:14] Owning Your Distribution — Algorithms, streaming “cartels,” and why your social feed is your venue.[01:30:08] From Garage to Millions of Views — The Megan McCain sketch and shipping scrappy work.[01:49:57] Authenticity Over Everything — Why “true to you” outlasts polished but hollow.Additional Resources:Tim Dillon — Official site / podcast hub: https://timdilloncomedy.com/The Tim Dillon Show (Spotify): https://open.spotify.com/show/2gRd1woKiAazAKPWPkHjdsTim on Instagram (@timjdillon): https://www.instagram.com/timjdillon/JRE #1251 — Tim Dillon (Spotify): https://open.spotify.com/episode/12jteiLJyQaD85ynvJQBk9JRE #1390 — Tim Dillon (episode info): https://ogjre.com/episode/1390-tim-dillonABC hot-mic / Epstein backstory:Axios recap — https://www.axios.com/2019/11/05/abc-news-jeffrey-epstein-amy-robach-project-veritasThe Guardian — https://www.theguardian.com/media/2019/nov/06/abc-news-leak-raises-questions-about-unaired-interview-with-epstein-accuserSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
The Coffin Butte Landfill, located about 10 miles north of Corvallis, takes in trash from around two dozen Oregon counties and accepts more than a million tons of waste every year. But its shelf life is expiring, and Republic Services, the company that owns and operates the landfill, is trying to expand it. Now, it’s one step closer. Last month, Republic won Benton County’s approval for a permit that greenlights the expansion, so long as Republic complies with certain criteria to mitigate the dump’s environmental impact. Opponents are trying to stall the expansion at the Land Use Board of Appeals before any shovels hit the ground, but it’s unclear whether the expansion will happen safely, or at all. Mason Leavitt is a geographic information systems analyst and programs manager at Beyond Toxics. He joins us to revisit the expansion’s continuing saga, what we know about the site’s environmental impact and what alternatives there might be.

Families and advocates Thursday said they were still trying to reach loved ones detained during an ICE operation at a St. Paul manufacturer this week. Three former employees of a Sherburne County town are charged with embezzling 20 percent of the community's budget. Twin Cities-based Target is partnering with Open AI to allow people to find and buy Target merchandise through ChatGPT. The retailer issued its latest earnings report Thursday showing a drop in sales, and a challenging outlook for the holiday shopping season. The White House has announced six new interagency agreements intended to break up the federal Education Department. One of those agreements will move Native American programs to the Department of the Interior. There are now at least five candidates in next year's election for Hennepin County Attorney. He called himself “Vanguard.” He branded women as his property, built a corporate-cult empire around control, and promised enlightenment while destroying lives. Now—five years and one hundred and twenty years into his prison sentence—Keith Raniere still believes he's the smartest man in the room. In this episode, we dive into Raniere's latest desperate attempt to overturn his NXIVM conviction, a last-ditch appeal built on claims that the FBI falsified digital evidence. His lawyers say key metadata on photos was altered. Judges say it's nonsense. And what's really on trial now isn't the evidence—it's Raniere's own ego. We break down how a man who once convinced Ivy-League grads and Hollywood actresses to worship him has spent the last decade trying to convince anyone who'll listen that he's the victim. You'll hear how NXIVM started as a self-help “success program,” morphed into a secret society of obedience and branding, and ended with Raniere shackled in federal prison still proclaiming innocence. The court has heard it all before. The victims have lived through enough. And the narcissist at the center of it still can't accept that the spotlight's gone. This is the final chapter of a cult that mistook cruelty for enlightenment—and of a man who can't stop performing, even when his audience has left the theater. If you think justice ends when the verdict is read, think again. #KeithRaniere #NXIVM #TrueCrime #CultLeaders #HiddenKillers #Narcissism #CrimePodcast #TrueCrimeCommunity #Justice #CourtCase Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
