Timestamps [1:19] The Sun conjoins the Moon's North Node (March 17, 11:03 am PDT) at 27º23' Pisces on Sabian symbol 28 Pisces, A fertile garden under the Full Moon. In this week between eclipses, recommit to taking a step toward what's important to you. [2:58] The Sun conjoins Neptune on March 19 (4:25 pm PDT) at 29º36' Pisces on the Sabian symbol 30 Pisces, A rock formation like a face is idealized by a boy who, as he grows up, begins to look like it. This transit reminds us that no one has all the answers, and we're responsible for making something of our lives and our world.  [5:35] On March 20 (2:01 am PDT), the Sun enters Aries (through April 19). This marks the vernal equinox in the Northern Hemisphere and the autumnal equinox in the Southern Hemisphere. The Aries Ingress chart is used by astrologers to cast a chart, using the capital of their country, to get a feel for what the upcoming year could look like. (Astrologers Nina Gryphon and Wade Caves were mentioned.) Aries is the opening of the new astrological year and is the sign that's closely associated with all new enterprises. [8:58] Venus sextiles Pluto (March 21, 2:32 pm PDT) at 03º22' Aries-Aquarius. The Sabian symbol for Venus is 4 Aries, two lovers strolling through a secluded walk, and Pluto is on 4 Aquarius, a Hindu healer. The challenge is to reconcile how to love life and people, even though we know that they're not perfect and will not last forever. Measure the importance of financial matters against the importance of relationships. [11:44] Moon Report! The Capricorn Last Quarter Moon is on March 22 (4:29 am PDT) at 02º05' Capricorn and Aries. Time to complete projects from the Pisces New Moon (Feb. 27). The Moon is on the Sabian symbol 3 Capricorn, The human soul receptive to growth and understanding.  [14:00] Lunar Phase Family Cycle (LPFC). This is the Last Quarter in an LPFC that began with a New Moon at 01º32' Capricorn on Dec. 23, 2022. The First Quarter Moon in this LPFC was on Sep. 22, 2023, and the Full Moon was on June 21, 2024. Don't back away from your wishes, dreams and ambitions. [15:49] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On March 19 (12:28 pm PDT), the Moon in Scorpio makes a trine to Neptune. It's VOC for only 49 minutes and then enters Sagittarius (1:17 pm PDT). Use this VOC period to practice tapping into your intuition. [17:54] On March 21 (11:53 pm PDT), the Moon in Sagittarius squares Neptune. The Moon is VOC for only 36 minutes, then enters Capricorn on March 22 (12:29 am PDT). Accept whatever truths come your way instead of spiraling down a path of gloom and doom. [19:13] The Sun and Venus come together in a conjunction on March 22 (6:07 pm PDT) at 02º39' Aries. This conjunction is called the Venus Star Point. It's a powerful day to manifest the situations and relationships that are truly in line with your heart and values. You may gain insight into an important relationship. [21:11] The Sun sextiles Pluto at 3º24' Aries-Aquarius (March 23, 12:32 pm PDT). This Last Quarter’s Sabian symbol is 16 Taurus, Old man attempting vainly to reveal the mysteries. [5:25] This is the last critical point in a Lunar Phase Family cycle that began at the May 11, 2021 New Moon. [12:55] Also on Aug. 9 (5:47 PM PDT), Mercury trines Jupiter at 14º31’ Virgo-Taurus. Mercury’s Sabian symbol is 15 Virgo, An ornamental handkerchief, and Jupiter’s is 15 Taurus, A man muffled up with a rakish silk hat. Make the very basic things useful, and then elegant and lovely. [15:04] On Aug. 13 (4:15 AM PDT), the Sun and Venus come together in a conjunction at 20º28’ Leo. When a planet is exactly conjoined the Sun, it’s said to be cazimi. 2019 began with a bang as Mars stepped into the sign it rules; Aries.  Although Mars' time in Aries is a mere six weeks it does portend a degree of activity for the year to come.  Jupiter is in Sagittarius, Saturn is in Capricorn, and Neptune is in Pisces.  All three planets are in the signs that they rule, giving them an added boost and visibility.  These are troubled times and it is best if we prepare accordingly.  Listen as your host and astrologer Chris Flisher speaks with author and astrologer Arielle Guttman about what is in store for 2019. 

The great outer planet, Uranus will step into Taurus for the first time in 84 years.  Any time a major outer planet enters a new sign we can expect to witness significant changes.  Since Taurus is a fixed earth sign and Uranus is the planet of rebellion and innovation what might we expect to see in the coming future.  Uranus was in this same placement in 1929 when the Great depression occurred.  Could this happen again?  Host, Chris Flisher speaks with astrologer and author, Arielle Guttman about this event and others on the horizon.

When we glance out at the recent eclipse we stare with awe at the precision of the event.  How does a small moon 250,000 miles away from Earth block out the Sun which 92 million miles away with such accuracy that it blocks the Sun with exactitude?  Simply amazing.  The entire basis of astrology is based on similar alignments.  To astrologers this is obvious as we deal with degrees and angles all the time.  Join your host Chris Flisher as he discusses the geometry of astrology with fellow astrologer, Arielle Guttman in this episode.  Suddenly it all makes sense. 

The very basis of astrology springs from the logic of geometry.  To begin with we have a 360 degree circle which when divided up reveals 12, 30 degree sections for each sign.  This logic and construct continues on through the difficult angles such as squares at 90 degrees or oppositions at 180 degrees on into the easier angles such as trines at 120 degrees or sextiles at 60 degrees.  Each of these are based on the logic of mathematics and more specifically geometry.  The presence of this goes even deeper when we consider the orbits of planets and the patterns they weave across the cosmos.  Join your host Chris Flisher as he speaks with astrologer and author, Arielle Guttman about this fascinating subject.
