Timestamps [1:22] Mercury enters Virgo (Aug. 25, 4:04 am PDT) and stays in this sign until Sep. 10. Mercury is at its strongest in Virgo, in both its rulership and its exaltation. When a planet is in a conjunction with the Sun within 17' of arc, it's called cazimi, or “in the heart of the Sun.” This cazimi period is exact at 10:03 am PDT, but is within orb of 17' arc  between 3:15 am-4:54 pm PDT. The Sun-Mercury conjunction is on the Sabian symbol 5 Virgo, A man dreaming of fairies. [6:15] Moon Report! The Pisces Full Moon/Lunar Eclipse (Aug. 27, 9:18 pm PDT) is 4°54' Pisces-Virgo. This is the Full Moon in the Aug. 12 Leo New Moon cycle. The Feb. 20, 2027 Virgo lunar eclipse in Virgo is the last eclipse on this axis for a while, and the last eclipse in Pisces until 2034. Embrace your feelings while grounding yourself to the material world. It is highly dense and rich in metals, leading researchers to conclude that it is likely the core remnant of an ancient, much larger primordial asteroid. This is the New Moon in an LPFC that will unfold and extend this New Moon's messages over the coming three years. The First Quarter Moon (first action point) of this LPFC occurs on Apr. 13, 2027 (23°47' Cancer), the Full Moon (awareness point) will be on Jan. 11, 2028 (21°27' Cancer), and the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) is on Oct. 11, 2028 (18°41' Cancer). This is the first of five Uranus-Pluto trines that will form between Nov. 2026 and May 2028. [14:01] On July 20, Jupiter trines Neptune (12:23 am PDT, at 4°22' Leo/Aries) and opposes Pluto (7:44 am PDT, at 4°26' Leo/Aquarius). This week, ensure your hopes for how things should be don't distort your perception of reality. Don't let optimism and a desire for fun or creativity carry you away. This week, Mars leaves fast-moving Aries for the more leisurely pastures of Taurus. Venus enters nurturing Cancer and makes a romantic sextile to Mars. You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin, just start the journey and trust that the road will open as you go. The Sabian symbol for this First Quarter Moon is 9 Sagittarius, A mother with her children on the stairs. The Sabian symbol for the Sun is 9 Virgo, A man makes a futuristic drawing. [18:16] This is the First Quarter (first action point) in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began with the New Moon in Sagittarius on Nov. 30, 2024, at 9º32' Sagittarius. The Full Moon (awareness point) of this LPFC will occur on May 31, 2026, at 9º55' Sagittarius, and the Last Quarter phase (last action point) is on Feb. 27, 2027, at 9º22' Sagittarius. [19:46] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Mon. Aug. 25 (6:53 AM PDT), the Moon in Virgo sextiles Venus. It's VOC for only 15 minutes, and then the Moon enters Libra (7:08 AM PDT). Cancer likes comfort food, and Virgo likes efficient and healthy nutrition. This Void-of-Course Moon period begins around breakfast time on the west coast of the United States, so this is a great day to start a new ritual of eating a really delicious and nutritious breakfast.
