This week, Venus enters the glamorous sign of Leeeeeeoooo and makes inspiring aspects to Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, plus a highly charged opposition to Pluto. Uranus and Neptune connect in their first major aspect since 1993, and the Sagittarius First Quarter Moon focuses on teaching and moving forward into the future. And coming up next week, the 6th Annual Podathon! Plus: Futuristic drawings, things you can't undo, and a little pizazz! Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? Email April or leave it here! Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [2:20] Venus enters Leo on Mon. Aug. 25 (9:27 AM PDT), and will be there through Sep. 19, 2025. It is a sunny, life-affirming position for Venus, but it makes a lot of important aspects this week to heavy planets, bringing some shadows to Leo's sunshine. [3:55] On Mon. Aug. 25 (5:56 PM PDT), Venus trines Saturn at 0º25' Leo-Aries.  Saturn tempers Venus in Leo's extravagant tendencies. Acknowledge your responsibility in choosing partners and cultivating relationships. Don't be afraid to ask for help! [6:09] Venus sextiles Uranus (Tue. Aug. 26, 1:58 pm PDT) at 1°25' Leo-Gemini. New ideas appear, especially related to money, values, or relationships. New people may enter the picture and shake you out of your routines. [7:36] Venus trines Neptune (Tue. Aug. 26, 3:18 pm PDT) at 1°29' Leo-Aries. This aspect invites us to see the beauty in others, regard the world with a little more tenderness. Neptune also elevates Venus' creativity with inspiration, even a touch of spirituality. Together, Venus' sextile to Uranus and trine to Neptune remind us that love, beauty, and creativity are best when they open doors to inspiration and into connection with others. [8:49] Venus opposes Pluto (Tue. Aug. 26, 10:54 pm PDT) at 01°51' Leo-Aquarius. Challenges in relationship and finances. Find value in what cannot be taken away. This transit can feel intense but fortunately, it passes quickly. Don't do things that you can't undo. It's only one day, and by tomorrow, things could look quite different. [11:20] Uranus sextiles Neptune (Thu. Aug. 28, 5:14 PM PDT) at 01º26' Gemini- Aries. This is the first of five exact sextiles that they will form to each other between now and June 2027. Uranus' last major aspect to Neptune was a conjunction in 1993, between 18-19° Capricorn (Feb. 2, Aug. 20, Oct. 24, 1993). [13:28] Uranus in Gemini sextile Neptune in Aries, blends inventive thinking with visionary drive. Think outside the box, not just for the sake of novelty, but to serve an inspired vision of the future. This energy is great for breakthroughs in language, technology, art, or activism. If you stay grounded, this transit is powerful for creativity, spirituality, social change and for taking those first steps toward a new world. [15:45] Moon Report! The Sagittarius First Quarter Moon is on Sat. Aug. 30 (11:25 PM PDT) at 08º07' Sagittarius and Virgo. This is our first action point following the Aug. 22 Virgo New Moon (the first of two; the second is on Sep. 21, and is a Solar Eclipse). You don't have to have everything figured out before you begin, just start the journey and trust that the road will open as you go. The Sabian symbol for this First Quarter Moon is 9 Sagittarius, A mother with her children on the stairs. The Sabian symbol for the Sun is 9 Virgo, A man makes a futuristic drawing. [18:16] This is the First Quarter (first action point) in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began with the New Moon in Sagittarius on Nov. 30, 2024, at 9º32' Sagittarius. The Full Moon (awareness point) of this LPFC will occur on May 31, 2026, at 9º55' Sagittarius, and the Last Quarter phase (last action point) is on Feb. 27, 2027, at 9º22' Sagittarius. [19:46] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On Mon. Aug. 25 (6:53 AM PDT), the Moon in Virgo sextiles Venus. It's VOC for only 15 minutes, and then the Moon enters Libra (7:08 AM PDT). Cancer likes comfort food, and Virgo likes efficient and healthy nutrition. This Void-of-Course Moon period begins around breakfast time on the west coast of the United States, so this is a great day to start a new ritual of eating a really delicious and nutritious breakfast. [20:55] On Tue. Aug. 26 (7:06 PM PDT), the Moon in Libra sextiles Mercury. It's VOC for 23 hours and 21 minutes, then enters Scorpio on Wed. Aug. 27 (6:27 PM PDT). Leo gives voice to the desire for balance and equality that the Moon in Libra craves. Create a habit of making decisions by using equal parts mind and heart. [22:06] On Fri. Aug. 29 (5:47 PM PDT), the Moon in Scorpio squares Mercury. It's VOC for 13 hours, 17 minutes, and enters Sagittarius on Sat. Aug. 30 (7:04 AM PDT). If someone gets under your skin during this VOC Moon period, try very hard to keep hurtful feelings to yourself. Funnel your anger into some other enterprise, such as vigorous exercise habits, which can help keep the drama at bay and your body strong. [23:22] There will be a pause on listener questions this week and most likely next week due to the 6th Annual Podathon! They will return the week after the Podathon, though, so by all means, keep those questions flowing! [23:50] If you'd like to have a question answered on a future episode, leave a message of one minute or less at speakpipe.com/bigskyastrologypodcast or email april (at) bigskyastrology (dot) com; put “Podcast Question” in the subject line. The 150º quincunx aspect separates planets are in signs of very different signs and modalities, and compromises must be reached - in this case, between Virgo's practicality and attention to detail and Aries' urge to just get moving; and between Aquarius' interest in the future and Virgo's focus on the here and now. [7:15] The Sun squares Uranus (Sun. Aug. 24, 12:15 am PDT,  1°23' Virgo-Gemini). Aug. 6, 4:23 PM PDT, through Sep. 22, 2025), which is not exactly its favorite sign. The themes of Mars in Libra are about balancing action with ideals and making sure that what you do reflects what you believe, especially when it comes to fairness, justice, or the people that you care about. [3:38] Mars trines Uranus (Fri. Aug. 8, 11:45 AM PDT) at 1º07' Libra-Gemini. This combination can spark breakthroughs, but also impulsiveness and recklessness. Assert yourself, but be cautious. [5:45] On Fri. Aug. 8 (7:52 PM PDT), Mars opposes Saturn at 1°20' Libra-Aries. This can bring resistance, but don't give up. Use this aspect to take one small strategic action that can help move you forward. [8:20] Moon Report! The Aquarius Full Moon is on Sat. Aug. 9 (12:55 AM PDT), 16º59' Aquarius-Leo. Ask yourself how you can influence the world in a meaningful way. Gather with those who share your ideals to further your Leo New Moon creative goals. The Moon will be VOC for 1 day, 7 hours, and 38 minutes (!!!) before it enters Aquarius on Aug. 7 (6:18 PM PDT). During this VOC Moon period, monitor how you cope when things get difficult. Are there more effective tactics you could use? [17:28] On Sat. Aug. 9 (12:55 AM PDT), the Moon in Aquarius opposes the Sun in Leo. It's VOC for 22 hours 55 minutes (!!!), then enters Pisces (11:50 PM PDT). Evaluate what you want versus what society wants. Consider how your desires and needs can affect the others around you and also help you clarify what you want. [18:49] Mars opposes Neptune (Sat. Aug. 9, 3:13 PM PDT) at 1°50' Libra- Aries. Slow down, soften your approach, and consider how to use Mars energy on behalf of others. Bring spiritual and artistic influences into daily routines. Trickster Magic with Mercury-Jupiter in Gemini: Weekly Astrology for June 2 - 8

Weekly Astrology Forecast Podcast

The astrology this week brings some trickster energy with Mercury making several aspects and changing signs. There are several themes around shifts in perspective that seem like a natural unfolding following the New Moon in Gemini last week. This week elaborates on the last and simultaneously shows themes of expansion, as well as stabilizing and rooting into what's next. The astrology this week includes:First Quarter Moon in Virgo: on Monday, June 2 at 8:41pm PT, this is an opening square aspect of the Moon and Sun, signaling a time of coming up against conflicting ideas or areas of focus. The Sun in Gemini and Moon in Virgo are both ruled by the trickster planet Mercury. You're being called to be flexible, to shift your focus, and use discernment.Venus in Aries sextile Jupiter in Gemini: A spark of creative joy is available to you when you pay attention.Venus moves into Taurus: on Thursday, June 5 at 9:42pm PT. Venus will be in Taurus for about a month, until July 4th. Venus in Taurus is a time of rooting into what you love, strengthening your values, finding pleasure, and seeking a greater sense of meaning in your joy. Venus' movement into Taurus also initiates its square to Pluto, which brings intensity and depth to matters of love, relationships, beauty, and social activities. Venus-Pluto calls us to reach for deeper intimacy in our relationships, and in ourselves.Mercury in Gemini sextile Mars in Leo + sextile Chiron in Aries: There is trickster energy here as well! You may be called to seek out new information that is healing or helps you find peace around a challenging situation.Mercury in Gemini conjunct Jupiter in Gemini: Expanding your awareness, lots of ideas, and exploring new things. You may find yourself having many big visions for the future. These ideas may arise from within you, from dreams, or via suggestions from others. Allow your mind to flow, capture as much as you can, and know that you can sort through things over the coming year (because this aspect is like an annual “new moon” phase for Mercury and Jupiter).Mercury moves into Cancer: on Sunday, June 8 at 3:58pm PT. Mercury will be in Cancer for about 3 weeks, until June 27th. Because Cancer is a cardinal sign and because Mercury just made a conjunction to Jupiter, this marks a point of initiating new ideas, a new perspective, and new ways of thinking. And, these ideas and perspectives are informed by feeling and intuition. There's also a slow, steady, and determined pace (because Mercury is also now making a square to Saturn).Mars in Leo opposite Pallas in Aquarius: Feeling passionate and called to action! This is a very dynamic-feeling transit and could be channeled toward crafty or creative activities, physical movement, advocacy work, being direct and strategic about a boundary, or embracing your anger and agitation in any way that feels right for you! This aspect is all about advocation, protection, and moving your energy either physically or energetically.Reflection Questions:1.   What big ideas are on your mind now, what else wants to emerge thruyou?2.   What feelings are coming forward in relational dynamics? 3.   What is important to you now and how can you advocate for it?...Wishing you a week of ease, security, and safety

This week, the skies are quieter than they've been recently, but what is coming our way is fairly loud and dynamic. Venus enters independent Aries, then makes a conjunction with Neptune. Pluto stations retrograde right after a very energetic First Quarter Moon in Leeeeooooo. And a listener question about the opposition aspect. Plus: Speed dating, seizing the spotlight, and a fiery plunge!   Read a full transcript of this episode. Have a question you'd like answered on the show? Email April or leave it here! Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [1:17] Venus enters Aries on April 30 (10:16 am PDT, until June 5); look for connections to Feb.3 and March 27, when Venus previously visited the first degree of Aries. Venus in Aries likes to move fast, might be prone to impulse shopping, and likes the thrill of the romantic chase. [4:21] Venus conjoins Neptune at 1º08' Aries (May 2, 10:07 am PDT). Look for connections to Feb. 1 (Venus direct) and March 27 (Venus Rx), when Venus previously conjoined Neptune, especially related to relationships and finances. [7:27] Moon Report! The First Quarter Moon in Leeeeoo is on May 4 (6:52 am PDT) at 14°21' Leo and Taurus. This is the phase to take action towards those New Moon goals from the April 27 Taurus New Moon. The Moon is on Sabian symbol 15 Leo, A pageant, so celebrate a little bit, throw a party, go dancing! [9:05] This is the First Quarter phase (first action point) in a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that began with the New Moon on Aug. 4, 2024, at 12º34' Leo. The Full Moon (awareness point) of this LPFC is on Feb. 1, 2026, and the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) on Nov. 1, 2026. [10:25] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On April 28 (10:18 pm PDT), the Moon in Taurus sextiles Venus in Pisces. It's VOC for 1 hour, 16 minutes, and then enters Gemini (11:34 pm PDT). Make it part of your daily routine to enjoy a little time out, relaxation, and indulgence, especially if you tend to work hard and not take enough time for yourself. [11:32] On April 30 (8:49 pm PDT), the Moon in Gemini squares Saturn in Pisces. It's VOC for 3 hours, 34 minutes, and then enters Cancer on May 1 (12:23 am PDT). Use this VOC Moon period to think about how we can use any recent setbacks, obstacles, or rejections to improve communication, and that means listening as well.  Work hard on developing communication skills that are a little bit sensitive and intuitive, as opposed to just coming from the mind, coming from the heart as well. [12:55] On May 3 (1:02 am PDT), the Moon in Cancer trines Saturn in Pisces. It's VOC for 3 hours, 27 minutes, and then enters Leo (4:29 am PDT). If you are awake, use this VOC period to develop a solid work routine. Because in doing that, your emotions will be more stable, your confidence will get a boost, which will increase the respect you receive from others. [14:14] Pluto stations retrograde (May 4, 8:27 am PDT, until Oct. 13) at 3º49' Aquarius. With Pluto is still being opposed by Mars in Leo, this is not a quiet descent into the underworld, it's more like a fiery plunge. Pluto stations on the Sabian symbol 4 Aquarius, A Hindu healer. Pluto heals through burning away whatever has been holding us back from being our true selves. [16:16] Listener Anna asks about the opposition aspect in astrology. Re-Enchantment of Your Heart with Venus-Neptune in Aries: Weekly Astrology Forecast for April 28 - May 4

Weekly Astrology Forecast Podcast

Play Episode Listen Later Apr 26, 2025 53:05

The astrology this week is lighter and more liminal than the last several weeks. It invites a re-enchantment with life, especially in matters of your heart. This week's astrology includes:- Venus moves into Aries on Wed 4/30: An energizing initiation of fresh energy around relationships, love, beauty, healing pursuits, art, creativity. You may feel a readiness to move forward now, especially on relational themes that were on your heart in February and March (since Venus was already in Aries in Feb 5 – March 27 as a part of its retrograde process).- Venus conjunct Neptune in Aries: Both Saturn and Neptune have been an integral part of this Venus Retrograde this March – April. The conjunction becoming exact this week symbolizes a further re-enchantment of your capacity for love, union, and enjoyment. There's potential for full immersion into relational or creative things . . . as well as possibilities for enmeshment, blurring of boundaries, or illusions to arise. Neptune often helps us see our idealizations first by experiencing them unconsciously (i.e. being “in it” first). Over time we get to see people and situations as they are (rather than how we want them to be). There's beauty in the ideal as well as the reality when we hold it softly.- First Quarter Moon in Leo on Sun 5/4 at 6:52am PT: This point in the lunar cycle marks a crossroads for decisions. You may feel drawn to focus or reorient your energy toward what is most pressing right now. This First Quarter Moon in Leo emphasizes your relationship to giving and receiving affection, attention, and your magnetic pull on others. It provides opportunities to embody your inner spark. This First Quarter Moon also punctuates the dissipating Sun-Mars-Pluto t-square, so there may be additional insights or clarity around your autonomy, power, and control.- Pluto Stations Retrograde: This is a subtle component of the astrology this week. Pluto (along with the other outer planets) is retrograde about half the year. It's retrograde means that over the summer and fall, Pluto will slowly and slightly shift back a few degrees in the zodiac to about 0 degrees Aquarius. This symbolizes a concentration of Pluto in this place, meaning that any transits to Pluto will be more concrete, slow, steady, and take time to integrate.- Sun-Uranus in Taurus opposite Vesta-Juno in Scorpio: Bringing light, liberation, and awakening to the things that you are devoted to.Reflection Questions: 1.   What is your heart telling you now?  2.   How do you tend to idealize people or situations? 3.   How can you embody both strength and flexibility?Wishing you a week of ease, security, and safety

This week, Venus teams up with Saturn and both make inspiring connections with the Moon's North Node. The normally mellow Taurus New Moon is disrupted by power struggles, as the Sun squares, and Mars opposes, Pluto. And (appropriately) a listener question about scary Pluto transits. Subscribe to April's mailing list and get a free lunar workbook at each New Moon! Love the show? Make a donation! Timestamps [1:12] Saturn conjuncts the North Node (April 21, 4:31 am PDT) at 26°50' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 27 Pisces, A Harvest Moon. This is the first conjunction between Saturn and the North Node since September 2013. You might succeed in a way that you have envisioned and hoped for, but sometimes the success comes in a form you never could have imagined. [2:28] Venus conjuncts the North Node (April 23, 9:35 pm PDT) at 26°54' Pisces. This transit can indicate that close friends or partners are helping you achieve success.  [3:00] The Sun squares Pluto (April 23, 10:10 am PDT) at 3º47' Taurus-Aquarius. The Sun's Sabian symbol is 4 Taurus, The rainbow's pot of gold; Pluto is on 4 Aquarius, A Hindu healer. Claim your importance, and let go of anything that you no longer need.  [5:26] Venus conjuncts Saturn (April 24, 5:02 pm PDT) at 27°13' Pisces, on Sabian symbol 28 Pisces, A fertile garden under the Full Moon. This concludes a Venus-Saturn series that began on Jan. 18 and repeated on April 7. Are you any clearer about what you want in relationships and in the way you earn your money?  [7:53] Mars opposes Pluto (April 26, 6:05 pm PDT) at 3º48' Leo-Aquarius. The usual interpretation of Mars with Pluto has to do with power struggles and dealing with forces beyond your control. What matters most in these situations is how you handle powerlessness, anger, and frustration. Mars' Sabian symbol, 4 Leo, is A man formally dressed and a deer with its horns folded. Pluto's Sabian symbol is sometimes written as, A Hindu Yogi demonstrates his healing powers. [10:18] Moon Report! The Taurus New Moon is on April 27 (12:31 pm PDT), at 7º46' Taurus. The Moon is exalted in the sign of Taurus, so this is one of the most powerful New Moons of the year. But the Mars-Pluto opposition makes this a little more of a tumultuous New Moon. Taurus is ruled by Venus, so enjoy the sensual aspects of life. The Sabian symbol for this New Moon degree is 8 Taurus, A sleigh without snow. [13:29] This New Moon begins a lunar phase family cycle (LPFC) that unfolds over the next three years. Make a careful note of what your intentions are, what you would like to achieve in your physical health, financial abundance, and sense of security. Jan. 25, 2026 is the First Quarter Moon (first action point) of this LPFC, the Full Moon (awareness point) is on Oct. 25, 2026, the Last Quarter Moon (final action point) is on July 26, 2027. [15:34] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon periods. On April 22 (2:55 pm PDT), the Moon in Aquarius squares Uranus in Taurus. It's VOC for 7 hours 12 minutes, then enters Pisces (10:07 pm PDT). Step out of your safety zone to do things on your own. [16:40] On April 24 (7:57 pm PDT), the Moon in Pisces conjoins Venus. It's VOC for 4 hours 27 minutes, then enters Aries on April 25 (12:24 am PDT). Enjoy all of the Venusian things life has to offer, but don't go overboard. [18:11] On April 26 (9:18 am PDT), the Moon in Aries sextiles Jupiter. The Moon is VOC for 14 hours 59 minutes (!!!), then enters Taurus on April 27 (12:17 am PDT). Share the good things that come your way and offer encouraging words to other people. [19:18] Listener Pomahoba asks about scary Pluto transits. The First Quarter Moon in this LPFC (first action point) was on July 13, 2024,  Last Quarter (final action point) comes on Jan. 10, 2026. [14:04] Void-of-Course (VOC) Moon Periods. On April 7 (9:08 pm PDT), the Moon in Leeeeeeooooo squares Uranus in Taurus. It's VOC for 9 hours and 32 minutes, then enters Virgo (April 8, 6:40 am PDT). See things from other perspectives and share the spotlight. [14:56] On April 10 (12:49 pm PDT), the Moon in Virgo opposes Mercury. It's VOC for 5 hours 23 minutes, then enters Libra (6:12 pm PDT). When Venus is retrograde (since March 1), desires and aesthetics lean toward the unconventional and sometimes knock relationships off balance. Money matters have also been unstable. Venus turning direct should eventually settle relationship strife and financial unrest.
