आज के FYI की पेशकश Queer Me Up में बात होगी online dating की। इसलिए हमने बात की सुनाली अग्रवाल से जो LGBTQA+ समुदाय के लिए एक exclusive dating app लाईं हैं - As You Are। For As YouAre: https://asyouare.in/ To donate for Give India in the Corona Pandemic: www.tinyurl.com/podforchange

For so long, Deanna hid the full truth of who she was, and felt unworthy. But she is done living in the shadows. Recently, Deanna has stepped out publicly as a bisexual woman, with the full support of Chris. We talk about why she decided to go public, and how she is taking brave ownership of every part of herself, despite how scary it feels. She co-wrote Chris’ newest song AS YOU ARE which is a declaration of being loved fully for who you are... “You're feeling isolateAnd all kinds of frustrateBut I love you as you areLove you as you are, yeahAnd don't worry about the hateIt don't fit in those boxes they createAnd it's tearing you apartIt's tearing you apart, yeah” Deanna and Chris met 19 years ago when he was just 20 years old and selling vacuums. Deanna at the time was a single mother of 2 and 7 years older. Sparks flew between them immediately and they were married within months of meeting. We talk about how they have navigated life as Chris became an overnight success and star from American Idol, dealing with infidelity from an empathic standpoint, the ups and down of fame, and raising 5 kids. Plus we talk about how Deanna and Chris agreed upon ethical non-monogamy at certain points in their relationship, and how important it is to love yourself and live authentically. It is not easy to share your whole soul with the world and open yourself up to others opinions. I admire and praise her for her strength, vulnerability and commitment to living honestly and open. I know you will feel the same. Learn more about your ad-choices at https://news.iheart.com/podcast-advertisers
Frontman for the band bearing his name, DAUGHTRY sang his way to prominence on the fifth season of American Idol. Since then he's released four albums, all of which reached the Billboard Top Ten and have combined sales of over 8 million copies in the U.S. You probably know him for one of his smash singles, "It's Not Over", "Leave This Town", "Break The Spell", or maybe "Waiting For Superman." Recently I got to know him for so much more! Chris came to hang out for a day at the farm so he could get the lay of the land before he performs at my annual Farm to Feast garden gala benefitting Point Hope. We had such an amazing time together laughing, talking, and checking in on Zena the zebra, Emmy the Emu, and Peek-A-Boo's new pups. His single, "As You Are," from the 2018 album, "Cage To Rattle", was written with his wife Deanna; An incredible testimony to unconditional love, it wrecks me, He even put on an impromptu performance for me in the studio, and I'm still a-swoon. Every woman has an ideal image, that authentic self that is THEM. It has to do with their inner person and the way the outer is used to express it. On this episode of Happy Black Woman, Rosetta is chatting with Kimberly Harden, an expert at helping women discover their ideal image and learn how to confidently express it in their clothing choices, personal style, and interactions with others. It’s her mission to help you experience your ideal image from the inside out. Find out more from Kimberly on this episode. Action steps to start showing up in the world in an authentic way. You’ve got to have a strong foundation to build on if you are going to start showing up in the world authentically and with confidence. That starts with knowing who you are first of all and being confident in yourself, regardless if you feel you are overweight or too thin. Who you are is not defined by your body size, it’s defined by your belief in yourself - and THAT resides within. Kimberly Harden is going to help you understand how to integrate that level of confidence with your shopping and wardrobe choices, and how to put them together to express your ideal self. What you wear on the outside should reflect what’s happening on the inside. What should you do if you want to turn a corner and make some significant changes in your outer appearance so you can show up in the world with confidence? Assess where you are and come to terms with it. Then reflect on where you are headed, where you want to be. Once you have your eyes on that prize you need to reset your perspective about what it takes every day to head toward that goal. Then and only then are you ready to begin addressing your makeup and wardrobe, the things that will help you express your new self to the world in an external way. Find out how you can take practical steps to make the changes you desire, on this episode. To be confident in the world, learn to be OK with who you are and HOW you are. Too often, Kimberly Harden hears women wishing that their body is something different than it is. She has found that the most important thing women need to accept are the facts of who they are and HOW they are. Body size is not the litmus test of beauty. It’s not the thing that determines your worth. You’ve got to determine that entirely independent of your body size and appearance. Then you’ll be ready to find the clothes, makeup, and style that is uniquely you AS YOU ARE, not as who you wish you were. You can hear more of Kimberly’s insights on this episode. What should you do if you are not clear on what you want to do? When Rosetta asked Kimberly Harden what she would say to the woman who has a passion for something but doesn’t know if she should pursue it or not, Kimberly had three simple words: just do it. When you have a passion you not only owe it to yourself to get started pursuing it, you also owe it to the world. You don’t have that passion by accident, it’s God’s way of pointing you in the direction you are intended to go. If you take the time to listen to this conversation you’ll find Kimberly is full of great insights that will encourage you on your journey, so be sure you listen! Outline of this great episode [0:30] Rosetta’s introduction to this episode and thanks to YOU for making this happen! [1:45] Who is Kimberly and what is it that she does for the world?
