Welcome to the Disruptive Entrepreneur Podcast . The one word that gets used to describe Rob over & over (apart from a ‘successful businessman’), is not what you’re thinking -it’s – ‘Disruptive.’ If you want a boring, comfortable, safe existence where you’re never challenged and you slowly rot away amid all the negativity, existing rather than truly living, then close Rob down! (There’s hundreds of other podcasts who will pump the same old spiel about entrepreneurship and property investments) If you’re still here, then you’re clearly looking for more from life. You know you can be something much bigger and greater, a great entrepreneur and businessman, and you have so much to give. Then Rob can help, he has over 100,000 entrepreneurs who are testament to this. Despite his ‘Disruptive’ persona (striving for more, questioning everything, continually learning, shaking things up and pushing the boundaries of convention), you’d be surprised that Rob isn’t one of these big-shot, big-ego (according to himself) celebrity-fashion Entrepreneurs. Rob is a die hard passionate ‘work(play)-a-holic,’ and a family man. If you crave new, want to prove the skeptics wrong and give a real meaning and legacy to your life, then the 'Disruptive' podcast will be straight to the point & challenging ‘Ignorance isn’t bliss, it’s ignorance’ – Rob Moore

There will be a 4-day bank holiday weekend in June this year for the Queens Jubilee. In this episode, Rob talks about the impact of public holidays on business, especially whilst trying to recover from the pandemic restrictions. Go to MANSCAPED.com and use promo code ROBM20 for 20% OFF your order, plus free shipping KEY TAKEAWAYS  Many businesses are already struggling to survive after the impact of the pandemic, tax increases, Brexit and more. It's been a turbulent couple of years and the last thing they need is less productivity. 3.3% of the whole year is now bank holidays, once we include weekends that's a lot of time off. The price of everything is going up, part of this is caused by loss of productivity. BEST MOMENTS   “There's flipping 12 days of bank holiday this year, to me that's outrageous. How are we going to get the economy going again” “We don't need more bank holidays we need to kickstart the economy or we're going to see tens of thousands of business owners going down” "You need to increase our ability to trade" VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Peter Schiff: Millionaire Investor Reveals Stock Market Hacks, Talks Trump, Bitcoin & The Pandemic

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 24, 2022 82:44

In one of the first interview episodes under the Disruptors re-brand, Rob speaks to investor, CEO and millionaire Peter Schiff about covid, economics, money, billionaires and bitcoin! Peter also talks honestly thoroughout the episode about his thoughts on the US government and how they have been harming the economy, every day US citizens and the impact this has had on the rest of the globe. Go to MANSCAPED.com and use promo code ROBM20 for 20% OFF your order, plus free shipping KEY TAKEAWAYS  As many others believe, Peter thinks Covid has actually been more damaging for society and a disaster for the economy than it has been a health issue. You can't consume if you don't produce and this has been one of the issues with government policies ‘patching up' the economic shortfalls and delaying the inevitable.  Peter Schiff earnt the title of Dr Doom in 2005 when he was predicting a massive economic crisis. It turns out he was right, he was really Dr Reality and he now predicts another imminent crash. If you recognise the state of the economy right now and understand what is going to happen in the near future you can position yourself to at least ride the storm and potentially even profit from what is going to happen. There are always some winners in economic crisis's, fortunes can be made. When money originated, it was created out of metal, it had real value. The devaluation of money started in the 1970's, what we now use as money isn't a real ‘commodity'. Eventually with the printing of money that is widespread in many western economies the trust in it will disappear and that's when we will be in real trouble. It sounds extreme but It's not unprecedented, many countries that have been wealthy in the past have devalued their currency. Although Peter has ran under the Republican party previously he actually aligns himself as a Libertarian. He believes at the moment both the Republicans and Democrats are in difficult places and aren't true to their core belief systems. Bitcoin and Cryptocurrencies have had a lot of hype the past couple of years. Peter thinks they have had their day and will start to drop. He advises people to get out of bitcoin and other crytpos now. People will take opportunities and liberties where they can. Peter doesn't blame the likes of Elon Musk and other billionaires for not paying more tax, he blames the government and the policies that allow this. BEST MOMENTS   “More people have left the workforce to actually avoid covid than if they had actually come down with it” “You've got to look at reality and not what the government is telling you” “The world has been supporting the United States for decades” “Money needs to be a creature of the free market, it needs to be produced by the market not the government” “A lot of people are going to be wiped out on the way down in crypto and the leverage is really going to accelerate the collapse” “History has always shown that it's better to have the private sector invest money and the government spend money” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. The Disgraceful Lack of Financial Education

The roles are reversed as Rob is interviewed by Jessen James of the Mind Over Money Podcast! James is a fellow business owner, entrepreneur educator and as Rob has so often spoken about, we are now living in a world of collaboration not competition and in this spirit James has taken over the Podcast as part of a social media take over! Rob and James discuss entrepreneurship, all things money and how important discomfort and disruption is to seek success in life.  KEY TAKEAWAYS  A former artist, Rob believes that business and entrepreneurship is one of the most creative endeavors available to us. Rob might not paint anymore but he gets to be creative every single day. The bloodline of any business is to make money. People hold themselves back in their attitudes to money, by their upbringing but also because of the common misconceptions and even shame surrounding money. James didn't grow up with a lot, watching his parents work hard yet barely make ends meet. At school he wasn't taught to strive or even focus on money. He could have let his environment shape his attitude around money but he didn't – he decided he wanted more. Rob broke away from the things that were holding him back from reaching his wealth potential. In 2005 he made many difficult but necessary decisions which lead him onto the path to making him the success he is today. It's important to stay an eternal student. Rob has taught countless courses on money and even authored books on the subject yet he still is always looking to learn more. We are living in a world of abundance. It's much easier to gain knowledge and build wealth in today's world. James believes that the main thing that holds people back is themselves and their willingness to change and move forwards. It's a choice, comfort is the enemy of greatness, it's only discomfort that pushes us to make change. Rob believes one of the biggest things you can do to alter your mindset is by understanding the laws and importance of balance in the universe. For every negative there is a positive, if you can recognise this and channel it then it's the best thing you can do for yourself and your life. The universe won't give you more of what you aren't already grateful for. Learn to be grateful for what you have and work hard for what you want. BEST MOMENTS   “Great concept for a podcast, I'm a bit jealous” “I used to love spending money but I was told it was a bad thing” “I'm still educating myself on money” “What is it that holds people back? Their environment, their upbringing, their education and then the lack of responsibility to change”   “It's not about resources, it's about resourcefulness” “Wellbeing is financial as well as spiritual and emotional”   VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. RANT: Pandemic Has Made The Rich Even Richer (Trigger Warning)

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 19, 2022 33:06

According to Oxfam, the worlds 10 richest peoples' wealth has more than doubled during the pandemic. Of course, Oxfam are striving for wealth equality in the world but Rob isn't quite sure they understand the financial systems we are living under and in this episode, talks about why that is and the other side to the story. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Rob is a champion of small business, entrepreneurship and true capitalism. He recognises that he doesn't agree with socialism or communism. These things considered, he knows that he is going to have quite a different stance to someone like Oxfam.  Instead of constantly criticising the rich, we should be looking at what it is they are doing so successfully. How can we learn from them and improve all of our own lives. The companies that have done well during the pandemic are all offering a service that people either need or want. They are all tech savvy, scalable and useful. The 10 richest people haven't caused the pandemic poverty, the pandemic has. Mostly it has been exacerbated by government policies and the market. Decentralisation is happening in media, in social media, in data, in access, in internet, in metaverse, in currencies, it's an anti-globalisation movement which individuals can get involved in. It's never been easier to create your own wealth and have your voice heard. The complex governmental and tax systems mean that a large chunk of everyone's money gets wasted but this doesn't get nearly enough attention. It's something people should be talking about rather than just asking for more tax from the rich. BEST MOMENTS   “We can moan or we can learn” “My mission is to educate people better on finances” “8 out of 10 of the richest people in the world are in tech, so what does that tell you?” “You've got more or a voice than you've ever had before” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Nigel Farage: Britain's Most Controversial Politician

Play Episode Listen Later Jan 17, 2022 66:48

An incredibly exciting and thought-provoking episode with arguably one of Rob's most Disruptive guests to date, broadcaster and former politician Nigel Farage! Nigel has never been shy in saying what he thinks and backing those thoughts up with actions. Listen in to this episode to hear Nigel's honest thoughts on Coronavirus, UK politics, the world order and what being a Disruptor really means. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Nigel believes that people disrupt things to challenge the status quo. Disruption is often needed to change things for the better, Nigel thinks things haven't been disrupted nearly enough in the world yet. It is plain for all to see that there are a lot of differing and polarising views on coronavirus. Nigel Farage thinks governments haven't been honest enough from the start and it's something we can learn to live with going forward. He is not prepared for his liberties to be taken away from him again so will not obey any further lockdowns. There is a big difference of mindset between a corporate business and the entrepreneur. The government may understand big business somewhat but they certainly don't have a clue about small businesses and entrepreneurs. Nigel's experience of working with the political class has shown him that there is a massive disconnect between the UK government and businesses. It was inevitable that Brexit was going to cause massive changes, there was always going to be winners and losers. However, Nigel thinks there are countless upsides to small business owners and entrepreneurs that the government still hasn't utilised. Tax and Welfare need reforming drastically. Past governments have de-skilled the British population and have also turned what should be a safety net, into a very large welfare state. It has changed young people's mindsets and there is a lack of aspiration among the younger generations especially. Nigel would love to run for Prime Minister but with the current UK system this is just not possible. He thinks that the UK political system needs a complete overhaul and bringing into the 21st century, starting with removing the first past to post system and the house of lords. Nigel believes that Boris Johnson has a very clever act and it has got him very far in his political career. However, he thinks the mood of the public after many lies and most recently, the revealing of all of the covid parties in government, will very likely be the end to it. The de-platforming and silencing of conservative voices across social media platforms is worrying to Nigel. He thinks it's the medias way of trying to gain back control.   BEST MOMENTS   “You're not doing it because you're trying to cheese everyone else off, you're doing it actually because you think the status quo as it is needs shaking up” “Not one of them has ever worked in a small business, not one of them has ever set one up” “There is a complete disconnect with the world of entrepreneurship, of the world of business” “I'm an old style free-marketer, I believe in a safety net for those that can't look after themselves, of course I do” “Our democracy needs to be brought into the 21st century” “There is a limit to free speech, there always has been, but I think the limit on conservative voices is bad” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Elon Musk has just announced that he is going to be paying $11bn in tax the next year, but is this right? There's been a lot of politicised discussion around the taxes billionaires pay and many people believe they simply don't pay enough income tax, but this is just part of the story. Listen in to this episode to hear Rob's thoughts on this and why he thinks it's an ‘absolute travesty'. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Many people will be saying that ‘it's about time' but Rob doesn't agree with this. He believes that Elon Musk has created billions for the economy as well as getting us into space and inspiring the masses. Who would you rather give 11 billion dollars of your money to? Your government or a billionaire entrepreneur creator? Who do you think will use the money more wisely? Billionaires generate the most jobs and the most taxation. Income tax is only part of the story. They may try and reduce their corporation tax but so would most when they see where it goes. The world is in a very disruptive place at the moment and this is both scary and exciting. In this episode Rob talks about the trends he expects to see in 2022 in business in entrepreneurship. He talks about the things he think will help you grow your wealth and success in 2022 and how they fit alongside this fast paced, ever-changing world we are living in. KEY TAKEAWAYS  The three main trends Rob predicts for 2022 are Decentralisation, The Creator Economy and Recurring Income/Subscription Models. Decentralisation. We have a polarised power struggle in the world at the moment and this is going to continue in 2022. Individuals and democratised platforms will increasingly gain more power. The Creator Economy. Linked to the decentralisation of power from big media, you can now become a creator and earn an upfront living from putting content out there. Recurring Revenue/Subscription Platforms. There is so much benefit to using a subscription model for your services. It started with the likes of amazon prime and Netflix but this is going to expand even more in 2022, especially along smaller businesses and entrepreneurs. Audio platforms are both intimate and convenient, this is why they are having so much growth on platforms such as clubhouse and in podcasting. BEST MOMENTS   “The more competition there is for social media the more they need to incentivise, reward and bribe you to stay on their channels” “Really the creator economy is influencer 3.0” “As a consumer are you using audio platforms? As a producer are you creating content on them? KEY TAKEAWAYS  Decentralisation is the breaking up of power from big media, big tech and big corporations to the entrepreneur, the start-ups and the scale-ups, i.e YOU! 20 years ago you had a few media companies that owned 80% of everything, including all the messaging that went out to the public. This was disrupted by Google and the landscape was completely changed. This is now what is happening on a bigger scale across multiple sectors and industries including social media and big tech. Social media channels are now competing for you and they do this by giving you reach and revenue. Anyone can be a creator and there has never been a better time to be one. Platforms are fighting for you and all have multiple monetisation tools. You can jump in, leverage this and create multiple streams of income. Creating your own subscription platform is a way to have more control over your income with a lot less risk attached. Rob says we need to focus on what we can control and shares what he believes the anti-movement to all of this globalisation is in this energising episode! Free Gifts to Help Protect Yourself: robmoore.com/pod KEY TAKEAWAYS  There is now a mass movement to de-centralisation. Big Tech, finance and media are all being challenged. You need to insure yourself against globalization. Anyone can be de-platformed from social media, spread yourself across platforms and create your own ways of getting your message out there. You also need to create multiple recurring streams of income so you are financially protected against the disruptive world. You could be massive on any social media platform, but you don't own these followers, you don't have any of their details. This is why you need to funnel people to somewhere you can access and have their data. So you can communicate freely with them. BEST MOMENTS   “If you don't fight for it you may be silenced” “If they don't like my content, they will reduce my reach or delete it…this can happen to anyone at a moments notice” “If you want to be truly free, you must have a voice and you must have recurring income” “If you rely on an employer, or a customer for your income, the government could impose things that would mean you can't earn from them anymore” “Freedom isn't just about money but money gives you freedom” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. However, if you get it wrong it can drastically impact you and your livelihood. Listen into this episode where Rob talks about the old rules of money, what has changed and the new rules you need to be paying attention to! KEY TAKEAWAYS  Rob was told that you needed patience, time and to become a success. This is simply not the case anymore. The world is global and most importantly, fast. We can connect easier and quicker than ever before and so success can come quickly too. The new rule is jumping on trends quickly, moving fast and starting now, getting perfect later. Physical assets used to be the gold standard of wealth. This is changing, you now want to monetise virtually, via NFTS, cryptocurrency and via your online presence by utilising monetisation tools on social media. It isn't just about physical investing and real estate anymore. You no longer have to be the ‘best' at what you do, you now need to be the best at being noticed, getting engagement and being known and noticed. You need to unlearn these set rules of business you learnt 10+ years ago. The world has changed and what was best practice has changed. Each case study should overcome one objection.  Ask your client what they were on the fence about or what would have stopped them from buying from you. People often like to buy from people like themselves. So, you want to get case studies that are very different from you; to appeal to those who otherwise wouldn't be as attracted to buying. There are a lot of criticisms around the situation, including the moral implications, but Rob has seen the zoom word for word so wants to give you the ‘lowdown' in this TDE episode. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Rob had to deal with a similar dilemma in the first UK lockdown. It was one of the hardest things he had to do in his career, thankfully furlough helped him be able to keep most staff but it was also to a high cost to himself: he had to use 7 figures in cash to pay wages and keep things going until the furlough payment came in. Most of those criticising this CEO have never had to deal with that kind of decision. You have to save the company or you lose all of your staff.  Rob was always taught to be honest with employees when laying them off, it's not fair to give them false hope or ‘fluff it up'. Ultimately they are losing their jobs and there isn't really a kind way to deliver this news. How To Generate Subscription Based Income A Mini-Masterclass

Play Episode Listen Later Nov 29, 2021 38:10

Subscription is the business model of the future, it's something more and more businesses are doing and is being leveraged in new and innovative ways. Listen in to this episode for Rob's 7 step process in creating your own subscription service. It's not easy but it is simple, you do not need any money or followers to start this, just choose something you love to talk about then follow these simple steps. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Pick something you love to talk about. Choose content for your subscription based site. There are a few platforms/membership sites for this: Patreon, Onlyfans, Kajabi and Facebook supporters are what Rob would recommend. Exclusive and great information are two key things you can focus on when creating content for subscribers. The way you package your information counts, everyone is valuable, you just need to ‘honour' your niche and then put it out to the world. You need to create 1-2 unique pieces of content a week for your subscribers. E.G one exclusive live, one exclusive mastermind and two other pieces of content. If you are already creating valuable content you can just move some content you are creating to exclusivity for your subscribers. Deciding how much to charge subscribers depends on where you are in your journey, whether you want to create money or focus on scale. You can make a living out of this, there's nothing wrong with money being your motivator. Rob would recommend starting at around $10 per month and then creating ‘tiers' to charge higher for more perks/closer access to you. 90% of people won't give you any money at all, there are a million reasons why. But, as soon as someone has bought with you they become highly engaged and help form and create an incredible community with you at the centre. Make it easy to join your programme. Remove as many friction point as you can, this is one of the most important things to focus on when building a subscription service. You just need three new members a day to your service to create $11,100 a month for a year. One simple way to do this is by following Rob's content-bridge offer. BEST MOMENTS   “It's not easy but it is simple” “Your vibe attracts your tribe” “Be inspired by people and model them but don't copy” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. MASSIVE RANT: It's Now Illegal For Bosses to Text Workers After Hours

We have had the biggest world-wide event since the second world war, the impact is widespread and devastating to the economy. Yet, Portugal have now made it illegal for bosses to text or contact workers outside of work hours. Listen in to why Rob believes this is a massive mistake. KEY TAKEAWAYS  In Portugal, if bosses contact their employees outside of office hours then they can be fined. Rob is worried about this coming to the UK, how would it work for emergencies and flexible working. Also, surely now is the time we need to be more productive, not less so, after the impact of the pandemic. We have to innovate and be creative to solve problems, not create more barriers. Digital nomad is now a term in the dictionary. They work anytime, anywhere. How would this work if we are restricted to working hours? People don't have to reply to messages or answer their phone. It should be everyone's right to message someone they have an agreement with (e.g someone you work with or a friend) and it is the other person's right to not respond. It doesn't have to be made illegal. BEST MOMENTS   “Do not bring it to the UK, we need to work ourselves back into a good economic situation again” “I don't work office hours anyway and digital nomads don't work office hours either" "We have to creatively problem solve, not put up more barriers" VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. They talk about his story to success at such a young age, why company culture is so key in business and why he feels he has tremedous responsibility to his investors, his employees and his customers. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Timur started his business in 2008, before he had even finished studying! Freedom Finance is an investment company that Timur built with co-founders, sourcing 100 thousand dollars. Company culture is essential to Timur. He has a big family and relationships are important to him and he wants this to translate to Freedom Finance too. He attributes these strong relationships and the culture he has created, to Freedom's overall success. Timur sees himself as an entrepreneur as he does a lot of the ‘doing' in his company. He is there to inspire his employees, he is not just an investor. It is concerning to Timur the amount of people who do not understand the current world financial system. This is why he worries about cryptocurrency currently. Your reputation and time is much more valuable than money. If you have a strong reputation then it's easy to find money. If your reputation is very bad, no money will help your business survive. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Amazon are proposing to ban all visa credit card payments from the 19th of January. They have said the move is due to high transaction fees. This could cost visa billions of pounds. This shows why we can't rely on just one big retailer. Payments should be getting quicker, easier and cheaper now. There is a lot of tech advancement and industry disruptors in the payment space, understandably businesses and consumers aren't willing to pay price hikes. No matter the size of the company, you are always at risk if you rely on one supplier. If businesses want to survive, they must always evolve, innovate, keep their prices relevant and continue to provide value to their customers. Omnipresence is key and there are two main ways to do this: Simultaneously going live across platforms or by creating a original master piece of content which you then repurpose. The end goal is for your clients to feel like you are everywhere. There are many ‘old-school' business techniques that are still incredibly relevant today. Such as: -Creating and knowing your ideal client profile -Discovering your maximum acquisition cost (the maximum you will spend to attain a client) -Lifetime Client Value (the maximum or average a client will spend in their lifetime with you) If you can figure out your lifetime client value, you then know what a realistic maximum acquisition cost would be for a client and can leverage this to outspend your competitors.    BEST MOMENTS   “It's not as hard as you think to have omnipresence from one piece of content, give the impression you are everywhere” “The company that can afford to pay the most to acquire the client usually wins the marketing game” “You always want to track your lifetime client value” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. David Icke: Conspiracy Theorist Reveals Who Controls The World

In this episode Rob speaks to David Icke for a second time! The conversation does not disappoint and David focuses on the money system of the world, who he believes really controls everything and how they achieve it! He is exercising his right of free speech, please do your own research on any controversial claims made in this episode. KEY TAKEAWAYS  If you start to look at control in society, you quickly realise that society is controlled by money. By those who have it and those who do not, the more choices you can make the more freedom you can have what dictates choice more than anything, is money. The ‘boom-bust' cycle is a long exchange of exchanging ‘fake' money e.g credit for ‘real' money e.g assets: this creates an unbalanced control in favour of the banks and the 1% Human empathy is an emotional consequence to what you're doing. Psychopaths do not have this and these are the types of people that are in control of the wealth and money system. They know how and why to manipulate others. If the few want to continue to have control over the many, then they need to centralise decisions. This is how globalisation has finally been formed and how the few exercise control in every area of our lives, including financial institutions. Covid has been a period of two years in which centralisation and manipulation has happened even faster, particularly around the decline of cash use. The world is run by ‘cartel' companies such as amazon and Facebook, they dictate a lot of what happens and stop any genuine capitalist companies from competing with them. The big corporations such as Facebook and Amazon have actually benefitted from the Covid lockdowns, whilst medium and small independent companies and individuals have suffered. If you know the outcome and goal of something then you understand the journey. If we understand what the end goal is for these people exerting control then we understand how what is happening right now ties into the bigger picture. David has thought throughout the pandemic that COVID is a scam, he is noticing now that more and more people are realising the same. There are many individuals that now believe that the pandemic wasn't about health but instead about control. BEST MOMENTS   “It's accumulation of control by the weapon that is money” “Globalisation is the centralisation of power in every area of our lives…simply the ongoing centralisation of power” “Who has benefitted in lockdown? Amazon and Facebook” “Furlough…buying silence and buying time for more and more businesses to be destroyed” “The many give their power to the few in the form of acquiescence” “It's an agenda way beyond health” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator.      “The only way we change the world is grass roots education” Rob has struggled recently to be upfront on his full and honest views of our education system. But, he has now had enough and in this episode, he doesn't hold back as he explores how outdated and broken our education system really is in the UK and what needs to change. Secret Leaders Podcast Listen Now https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/secret-leaders/id1229438369 Learn what it's really like to be a top entrepreneur and how to get there from founders of startups like Monzo, BrewDog, Jo Malone, Slack, and Lastminute.com KEY TAKEAWAYS  Our education system is old and outdated. It's based on a labour system where individuals needed to be taught and educated to labour. We are now way beyond this as a society. Children aren't taught anything about money, not even the fundamentals like saving, finance and tax. This must change. Billionaires know about money, this is why they are so successful, they didn't learn what they needed in school, many are actually school drop outs! We need to unlearn most of the things we have learnt in education, it has not prepared us for the world we live in today and where we are heading. Rafe Offer: Marketing Expert For Coca-Cola & Walt Disney

An enlightening and inspiring episode where Rob speaks to Rafe, an expert in marketing, including working for Coca Cola and Disney! They talk all things marketing, branding and delve into some of Rafe's key learnings over his impressive marketing career. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Branding is what you want to stand for as a company for the longer term. The best form of marketing is when a customer experiences something and just can't wait to tell everyone else about it. Rafe found working at larger companies taught him a lot about what not to do, this was just as valuable as the things he learnt to do whilst working there. Larger companies have a unique challenge in that many people are doing jobs, not realising what they do each day feeds into the customer, not realising the impact and the difference they can make. Building and instilling a great vision can really help with this, ensuring every employee truly understands what the companies aim is and how they fit into it. Toxic people in companies can destroy morale and will end up coming back to bite you. No matter how well they perform, you need to remove them as soon as you can. Marketing has changed considerably and quickly over the past two decades. Marketing has gone from more ‘blanket' approaches with little tracking to being able to be ultra-specific and precise and being very measurable. BEST MOMENTS  “Branding is the longer-term thing you want to stand for in your business” “Get rid of toxic people” “Top performers can often suppress others” VALUABLE RESOURCES https://robmoore.com/ bit.ly/Robsupporter https://robmoore.com/podbooks ABOUT THE HOST Rob Moore is an author of 9 business books, 5 UK bestsellers, holds 3 world records for public speaking, entrepreneur, property investor, and property educator. Listen into this bonus episode to find out more and hear why we could all learn a lot from Trump! KEY TAKEAWAYS  Trump accuses ‘big tech' of silencing opposing views of people in the US, including his own. This is his ‘big play' against them after being banned from multiple platforms including twitter and Facebook. Is this the start of a movement against the big platforms, of decentralisation? Maybe this is a positive thing, for free speech and independence. If people removed judgement they could learn from Trump, in the same way you can learn from a lot of people. Rob doesn't ordinarily share the content of his therapy sessions on his podcasts, but he feels like some of the feedback he has been getting from his therapist would be beneficial for other entrepreneurs out there to hear. Listen in to this episode to learn how and why you are already good enough, regardless of what you do or don't achieve. KEY TAKEAWAYS  Being an entrepreneur can be lonely, you are learning, taking risks but also have a lot of responsibility. This can take it's toll emotionally. There's a lot more knowledge and acceptance of everyone's mental health in recent times, Rob tries to lead the way in accepting that its ok to not always have everything figured out. Do you compare yourself? Do you every feel good enough? Rob often seeks his validation from his success as an entrepreneur. This can be helpful in small doses but if it is all we search for it can be an empty pursuit. These are external factors of validation. Who you are is much greater than this. Rob's therapist believes that Rob saw love as conditional when he was a child, which is what has now built his external ideas of value and worth as an adult. Surround yourself with people who love you for who you are regardless of what you achieve. There is a lot of knowledge out there for entrepreneurs, but not enough surrounding mental health and the difficulties you can face in your journey.
