After her fiance sleeps with Jennifer Aniston, Gail heads to LA with her friends to find Jon Hamm. The movie stars Zoey Deutch, John Slattery, Ken Marino, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Ben Wang, Sabrina Impacciatore, and Jon Hamm, along with plenty of fun celebrity cameos. Find out how much we laughed at this comedy directed by David Wain!

Moviewallas: Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass & Tony This week on Moviewallas, Joe, Rashmi, and Yazdi review two very different films. First up is Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass, a wildly absurd comedy packed with rapid-fire jokes, celebrity cameos, fourth-wall breaks, and a surprising amount of sweetness. Then the team turns to Tony, Matt Johnson's moving portrait of the formative summer that set a young Anthony Bourdain on the path toward kitchens, writing, and the life that would eventually make him famous. Before the reviews, the hosts return to “I Can't Find Anything to Watch…” with three streaming recommendations: the heartfelt science-fiction adventure The Adam Project, the brutal medieval thriller Pilgrimage, and Ridley Scott's inventive historical drama The Last Duel. Streaming Picks The Adam Project – Netflix Rashmi recommends this warm and unexpectedly emotional science-fiction adventure starring Ryan Reynolds. Beneath the time-travel premise is a sweet story about family, regret, and second chances. Pilgrimage – Hulu Yazdi revisits this beautifully shot medieval action drama starring Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal. A novice monk and a mysterious former crusader must transport a sacred relic through dangerous territory. The Last Duel – Hulu Joe recommends Ridley Scott's powerful historical drama starring Matt Damon, Adam Driver, Jodie Comer, and Ben Affleck. Its ingenious structure allows the same events to unfold through several competing perspectives. t Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass When her fiancé acts on their celebrity-pass agreement, Midwest bride Gail Daughtry heads to Hollywood in search of a celebrity encounter of her own. Directed by David Wain and starring Zoey Deutch, the film assembles a huge comic cast that includes Jon Hamm, John Slattery, Ken Marino, Sabrina Impacciatore, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Ben Wang, and many more. The hosts discuss the film's relentless stream of jokes, its Wizard of Oz influences, its affectionate use of Hollywood caricatures, and the willingness of its celebrity cameos to completely make fools of themselves. It is ridiculous, exhausting, incredibly sweet, and, most importantly, genuinely funny. Tony Director Matt Johnson, whose previous film was BlackBerry, turns his attention to the early life of Anthony Bourdain. The film follows 19-year-old Bourdain as he arrives in Provincetown and stumbles into the chaotic world of restaurant kitchens. Rather than attempting to cover his entire life, Tony concentrates on one formative summer and the people who helped point him toward the career that would eventually define him. The team praises Dominic Sessa for capturing Bourdain's charm, arrogance, intelligence, and complexity without turning him into a saint. They also discuss the outstanding performances from Antonio Banderas, Leo Woodall, and Emilia Jones, the convincing recreation of the 1970s restaurant world, and the film's refusal to romanticize the brutal reality of kitchen work. Funny, moving, authentic, and made with enormous affection for Bourdain, this is a biopic that understands the value of focusing on the thing that led to the thing. Like, comment, and subscribe for spoiler-light film reviews, streaming recommendations, strong opinions, and general movie banter. Gail Daughtry and the Celebrity Sex Pass is a comedy, but it's mostly a very funny hang. Zoey Deutch plays a small town hairdresser whose fiancee has just had sex with the celebrity on his sex pass list. She's determined to do the same – with Jon Hamm. She sets off to Hollywood to find him and gathers a motley crew along the way. The film was directed by David Wain, also is known for Wet Hot American Summer. This week Dave was happy to see GAIL DAUGHTRY AND THE CELEBRITY SEX PASS (1:34) - Evan less so - a comedy by director David Wain with a screenplay by Wain and Ken Marino, members of the 1990s sketch comedy group "The State." Eight members of "The State" appear, including Marino, and there are a billion celebrity cameos as Kansas hairdresser Gail Daughtry (Zoey Deutch) and her friend Otto run around L.A. trying to find Jon Hamm so she can fuck him (because her fiancé used his celebrity sex pass to bone Jennifer Aniston after a book reading in their town). Yes, it's as absolutely bonkers as it sounds. And if you're not into anti-humor, senseless violence, and intentionally unfunny jokes played completely straight, this may not be the movie for you. But it was for Dave! Over on Patreon, we talk about the 1981 slasher THE BURNING.

Parents everywhere know there's a level of frustration where you stop talking… and start blasting Huey Lewis in the garage like your life depends on it. This episode starts with Rizz admitting one of his kids pushed him so far over the edge that he had to activate the emergency happy playlist — and honestly, that may be the most relatable thing ever said on a daily comedy show. The gang dives deep into the songs guaranteed to rescue your mood, including Bermuda by John Linnell, “Your Love Keeps Lifting Me Higher,” “Power of Love,” “Stayin' Alive,” Wilson Phillips, Grateful Dead deep cuts, and enough Motown to heal emotional damage from modern life. Somehow the conversation turns into Michael Jackson hiding under your bed, CPR training from The Office, and whether Poison's “Nothing But a Good Time” should legally qualify as antidepressants. Then things escalate exactly the way they always do around here. There's major concert news with the Smashing Pumpkins launching a massive anniversary tour for Melancholy and the Infinite Sadness, plus Sonic Temple highlights featuring Shinedown, Daughtry, and Lzzy Hale absolutely crushing live performances. The crew also debates legendary tours after a “greatest concerts of all time” list sparks chaos because apparently U2 and Garth Brooks got disrespected so hard that Moon nearly launched himself through a wall.Speaking of questionable life decisions, Moon opens up about tattoo regret and realizing some of his old ink now resembles “a Walmart quarter-machine mistake.” The gang breaks down famous rock stars with zero tattoos, including Lars Ulrich, Alice Cooper, Trent Reznor, and Dave Mustaine. Meanwhile, Moon's tattoos are slowly evolving into what the show describes as “touched-up church Jesus art.” Honestly, no notes.Celebrity nonsense also reaches elite levels in this episode. Tom Brady apparently debuted a new look that made listeners compare him to Patrick Bateman, an animatronic billionaire, and a rejected Zoolander villain. The crew debates whether Brady's “perfect guy” magic is finally wearing off after another bizarre fashion appearance. There's also fake celebrity dating rumors involving Pamela Anderson and Tom Cruise, SNL madness with Chad Smith impersonating Will Ferrell, Paul McCartney showing up with new music nobody expected, and Casey Musgraves performing breakup songs on top of a washing machine because country music symbolism has fully left Earth. As always, this daily comedy show somehow mixes music nerdery, parenting meltdowns, celebrity gossip, nostalgic chaos, weird news, and absolutely unnecessary side conversations into one giant sarcastic fever dream. It's basically group therapy for people who laugh at inappropriate moments and still think “Stayin' Alive” is a medically useful song.If you love comedy podcasts, funny celebrity gossip, weird stories, sarcastic humor, music debates, and total morning show chaos straight out of St. Louis, this episode has everything except emotional maturity. And yes… somebody absolutely ends the show talking about porno birthdays. Former Rep. Leo Daughtry joins Skye and Brian to reflect on his storied political career, including the dramatic battle for Speaker of the North Carolina House heading into the 2003–2004 biennium. For weeks, the Johnston County Republican was widely viewed as the next Speaker after his party narrowly won the NC House in 2002 by a single seat. But, a last-minute revolt within the Republican caucus stripped away the votes he needed and denied him the gavel on the opening day of session. The political fallout fractured House Republicans for years and remains one of the most talked-about leadership fights in modern North Carolina political history. Plus, the podcast breaks down the celebrated announcement of a budget deal, movement on an ABC reform bill in the House, a new John Locke Foundation poll, TOTW, and more. The Do Politics Better podcast is sponsored by New Frame, the NC Travel Industry Association, the American Heart Association, the NC Pork Council, the NC Realtors, Heal the System NC, and the NC Healthcare Association.
Send us Fan MailWhat happens when you mix alcohol, nostalgia, and thousands of people chasing a feeling? You get chaos and clarity. In this episode, we break down our experience on the Summer of '99 cruise with Creed, Daughtry, Collective Soul, Filter, Black Stone Cherry, Oleander, Revis, 12 Stones, Nonpoint, Living Colour, and more and it was nothing like we expected. From wild hookups and public drunkenness to fights that ended in “cruise jail,” we saw firsthand what happens when people chase escape instead of purpose. But that's not the whole story. In the middle of the madness, we also saw something unexpected, real conversations about faith, moments of gratitude, and reminders that even in the loudest, most chaotic environments. God still shows up.We talk about:Why “getting drunk” isn't the flex people think it isThe truth about hookup culture (even in your 40s and 50s)What people are actually searching for beneath the partyThe surprising moments where faith broke through the noiseAnd what this says about modern relationships and marriageThis episode is funny, raw, uncomfortable at times and honest.Because what we saw on that ship? It's not just about a cruise. It's a snapshot of culture.
**Clay Edwards Show – Episode 1,205** Clay opens the show on a somber note, paying tribute to his young neighbor Noah, who tragically drowned in a Brandon lake over the weekend. He shares heartfelt reflections on regret, guardian angels, and the pain no parent should ever face, asking listeners to keep the family in their prayers. He then recaps a massive weekend at Pearl Day in Pearl, where nearly 15,000 people turned out for Hinder and Daughtry. Clay announces he's personally funding concert ticket giveaways all summer long, kicking things off with **three pairs of field-level tickets** (valued at $500+ each) to Zach Bryan next Saturday night in Starkville at Davis-Wade Stadium. Clay dives into Jackson culture rot with a disturbing Fondren grocery store assault on a 76-year-old woman, calling out the lack of situational awareness, community response, and the broader breakdown that allows this kind of violence in public spaces. In hour two, Andrew Gasser joins Clay for a no-holds-barred discussion on the latest assassination attempt on President Trump at the White House Correspondents Dinner. They play a two-and-a-half-minute montage of Democrats openly calling for political violence, then shift to the Baton Rouge mall shooting that claimed the life of an innocent 17-year-old girl during senior skip day. Governor Landry's fiery comments on failed “thug policies,” soft-on-crime judges, and the need for real accountability dominate the conversation. They also expose radical ideology in public schools after Clay reveals a transgender flag and United Nations flag hanging in a Clinton High School classroom, warning that this kind of indoctrination is melting young minds and accelerating the culture rot. Unfiltered, no sugar added reality radio at its finest.
**Clay Edwards Show – Pearl Day 2026 Recap** Clay kicks off the show recapping an absolute banger of a weekend at Pearl Day in Pearl, Mississippi. Nearly **15,000 people** packed the venue for a massive rock night featuring Hinder and Daughtry putting on high-energy, full-production sets that had the entire crowd singing every word. Clay says he never expected heavy rock to headline Pearl Day, but Daughtry's new darker, heavier sound blew him away and proved the event is leveling up. He gives a huge shout-out to the City of Pearl for trusting him and his brand to help promote the show, and already confirms they're locking in **more rock and roll** for Pearl Day 2027. Perfect weather, huge turnout, killer performances — it was exactly the kind of night that reminds Clay why he loves live music almost as much as doing this show. Unfiltered, no sugar added reality radio at its finest.

**Clay Edwards Show – Episode 1201** Clay opens the show hyping Pearl Day 2026 this Saturday at Trustmark Park — a big free concert with Daughtry and Hinder. Gates open at 5:30 PM, Hinder starts at 7:00 PM, and Daughtry around 8:45 PM. He then goes hard on Jackson City Council President Brian Brazil for proposing a 180-day moratorium on new data centers in Jackson, calling it classic grandstanding and “little brother syndrome.” Clay points out that no major data centers are even planned for Jackson while Richland and Madison are landing billions in investment, and he mocks the liberal buzzword salad in the proposal (“disproportionate environmental burdens on vulnerable neighborhoods”). **Hour 1: Kingfish from Jackson Jambalaya** Kingfish joins Clay by phone for a deep dive into the Mississippi ABC liquor distribution disaster. They break down the massive backlogs, empty shelves at stores across the state, small businesses forced to cut hours or lay off employees, and the contractor Ruan sending self-congratulatory emails while claiming progress. Clay calls out the destruction of small businesses and demands real action instead of excuses. **Hour 2: Andrew Gasser** Andrew Gasser joins Clay in the studio. They discuss Tucker Carlson's recent “mask off” comments where he expressed regret for supporting Trump, accused him of low character, and dove into Israel-related issues, donor influence (Miriam Adelson), assassination attempts, and what he called “Israel derangement syndrome.” They unpack single-issue politics, antisemitism debates, foreign policy distractions, and why some people are letting overseas issues override what's happening on American soil. Unfiltered, no sugar added reality radio. **The Clay Edwards Show – Episode 1201**
In this episode of The Clay Edwards Show, host Clay Edwards shares hilarious stories from his weekend on the coast, including a fan chasing him down in Ocean Springs mistaking him for "Chad" and a generous older lady at the Hard Rock handing out gifts like candles and socks. He reflects on the show's broad appeal and thanks listeners for joining a high school dropout turned expert on Democrat death culture as he rants about politics and culture. Clay gives the State of the Union a perfect 10/10, calling it the most presidential and longest ever, with highlights like honoring a 100-year-old WWII pilot who survived the longest dogfight in U.S. history against Russian pilots—a secret until 2002. He blasts Democrats for not standing during tributes to heroes and victims of crimes by illegal immigrants, spotlighting antics from Al Green (with his misspelled "Black People Aren't Apes" sign turning into "Black People Rent Apes") and Squad members disruptively chanting. Clay proposes an annual awards show for military, first responders, and civilian heroes to inspire patriotism over celebrity events. The show heats up with callers debating disrespect at the SOTU, racism accusations, and liberal policies, leading to fiery rants on taking the country back, human trafficking ties to politicians like the Maine governor, and imperfect biblical figures. Clay addresses a controversial caller offended by his language, defending authenticity and fed-up conservatism. He announces Pearl Day 2026 on April 25 with free performances by Daughtry and Hinder, and debates Sunday liquor sales in Mississippi, advocating for freedom while noting some stores' concerns. The episode wraps with Clay explaining his social media reset, trusting divine guidance, and teasing more unfiltered talk ahead.
