Topics of discussion include:WCW Road Wild featuring Jay Leno teaming up with Diamond Dallas Page against Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff, including all of the insanity surrounding that match, plus the rest of that show, which was one of the worst PPV's of all time.Running through Nitro and Thunder, which were filled with wackiness as you would expect.Rick Martel officially retires from wrestling due to an injury suffered during his brief WCW run…but not the injury you're thinking of.Lots of backstage issues in WCW that should come as no shock to anyone.New Japan running a big Osaka Dome show featuring Masahiro Chono winning the IWGP Heavyweight Title for the first time plus Yuji Nagata's return from his excursion to WCW.Ayako Hamada making her wrestling debut. The cat and mouse game regarding the Sandman's status in ECW.The WWF getting into the hospitality business by buying the old Debbie Reynolds Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas while also eyeing a spot in Times Square for an eventual theme restaurant, all over a year before the company went public. The awfulness of Shane McMahon's color commentary on Sunday Night Heat.John Wayne Bobbitt appearing by Val Venis's side as he dumps Mrs. Yamaguchi in one of many crazy moments on this week's episode of Raw.This is a crazy-assed show with a lot of stuff going on, so you don't want to miss this one!!!Timestamps:0:00:00 WCW1:55:47 Eurasia: NJPW, BJPW, FMW, Kurisu Gym, Michinoku Pro, SPWF, UNW, Punch Tahara Wedding Reception, AJW, Arsion, GAEA, JWP, & NWA UK2:26:52 Classic Commercial Break2:31:03 Halftime3:18:20 Other North America: Stampede, AAA, CMLL, IWRG, & Tijuana3:33:33 Other USA: NWA NY, ECW, IPW (PA), All-Star (NC), NDW, IWAMS, Power Pro, CWF (Louisiana), & APW4:06:03 WWFTo support the show and get access to exclusive rewards like special members-only monthly themed shows, go to our Patreon page at Patreon.com/BetweenTheSheets and become an ongoing Patron. Lucha Talk is back! In a absolutely huge week for Lucha in general as we saw the shocking return of LA Park and his son to CMLL. We talk about why it happened, what it means, and the huge main event of LA Park vs. Rush being set up for Aniversario, answering age old questions. Not only that we had possibly the best weekend of the year for AAA & CMLL in the ring with two great shows! AAA brings it with an incredible opener with Fredo & Dylan's indie favorites making their AAA debut in Aramis & Astrolux and tearing the house down as well as The OGTs and Poder del Norte's best match ever. We also talk about Verano de Escandalo's updated card, and the potentially improving women's division. In CMLL they had two equally great matches with the return of the great Dinamitas Trios match against a very talented Técnico team. And a main event which is a match of the year candidate, and made two new stars with Flyer and Templario delivering the goods in the main event of the final of the Gran Alternativa. Tons of interesting news and updates on DTU, Ayako Hamada's drug arrest and more. Follow the Trio on Twitter and interact about the show and the world of Lucha Libre! @DylanZeroSky - @therealfredo - @MICROMANFEVER

This week is a special 25th Anniversary of AAA edition of Lucha Talk, as we run down some of the most important legends of the company in their time, with everyone from Konnan to Perro Aguayo to Rey Mysterio Jr, even Latin Lover gets a mention or two, but where would AAA be without these guys & many more, with even lively discussion on some controversial choices & dissenting opinions to round out an enlightening foray into some of the company's most important players throughout time. The second half of the show is the usual rundown of this week in Lucha, with a spotlight being shown on the Taya vs Ayako Hamada street fight from AAA along with Soberano Jr. vs Rey Cometa Title match in CMLL, with some fun discussion involving the (potential) Lucha Libre World Cup to boot! As WU moves past their almost 2 month long salute to Wrestlemania, we now switch gears to appreciate more of the smaller, independent companies that are now changing the face of the WWE, TNA, and the other major promotions world wide. And what better way to start than with one company who has become a major player in the way Womens Wrestling has changed in people's eyes, with SHIMMER Women Athletes. We turn to Volume 36, featuring a huge main event, as Madison Eagles teams with Sara Del Rey, Tomoka Nakagawa, and Daizee Haze to face the team of Serena Deeb, Cheerleader Melissa, Ayako Hamada, and Ayumi Kurihara in SHIMvivor Series 8 women elimination tag match. As well as a feature match as Daffney takes on Rachel Summerlyn in an No Ma.... I mean I Quit match. There's a reason the building this takes place in has become World Famous. And, as always, there's the big finish, with the best and worst matches, and our cash and trash for this DVD. What moment will end up having a building named after them, and what moment will be stuck rushing a title change to go somewhere else? All of this and more as WU covers Volume 36 of SHIMMER Women Athletes.

On the first episode of Season 2 of Fanny Pack Wrestling, we bring in Jackie Hern and Patrick Swagger to discuss Shimmer Women Athletes,Volume 53 at Wrestlecon to be exact, and we manage to not be creepy about it and almost exclusively talk about the wrestling. And what amazing wrestling it is. We heap praise on such great athletes as Athena, Ayako Hamada, Christina Von Erie, Kimber Lee, Leva Bates, Allison Danger, Serena Deeb, and more. Check out the show, and go support women' wrestling!
