In an episode of Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck is captured by a big white abominable snowman that mistakes him for a rabbit. The white monster rocks Daffy in his arms and vows to “hug him and pet him and squeeze him” and keep him for his very own. It’s cute until we embrace a “pet” sin. Then it’s no laughing matter.
The question: How do you trust God when you’re afraid? So far, we’ve learned that our understanding is faulty, that we need to acknowledge God in all we do, that we have to be humble before God, shun evil, pursue good, and make God number one in our lives. It’s a tall order, but we’re not done. Because it’s so easy to allow fear to creep in our lives, we have to take a spiritual pulse and rest in God’s love. Rest. Now that’s what we’ve all been waiting for!
OSHA demands that all workplaces employ the use of personal protection equipment for potentially dangerous jobs. In fact, there’s a whole industry devoted to manufacturing helmets, shoes, uniforms, all designed for comfort and protection. Good news – God is better than OSHA and doesn’t leave us walking this planet without protection of our own, and that protection is found in the armor of the Gospel. Steve Barsuhn leads our convo.
Our society regards marriage in a cavalier way - as easy to throw away as the afternoon's taco wrapper. But marriage is designed by God to demonstrate Christ's love to us, his church. But one sinner married to another poses difficulties. What's the answer?
The nation is at war. David is just a kid. What happens when he finds himself, alone, engaged in mortal combat against the enemy's best fighter? Our good friend, Steve Rygh, joins us to talk about this popular Bible story and discuss what it means to us today.
Kindness is a scarce commodity in today’s culture. Yet, we are called to be kind because that is a symptom or expression of love. What does it mean to be kind and is there a difference between being kind and becoming the proverbial doormat?
Mike and former Key Radio General Manager, Steve Barsuhn, take a walk down memory lane, before tackling today's key verse. Joshua of the Old Testament challenges us even today - Who's going to rule in our life?
Lessons in grace, salvation, dealing with temptation, and honoring God. Steve Barsuhn wallops us with thought-provoking, heart-pounding truths found in the story of Joseph.
If you like object lessons, this discussion is for you. Bible teacher and author Lee Whitworth takes us through the book of Ezekiel, and brought props! Pans, planks, bricks, and sticks. Find out why by listening now!
We need to win! Defeat the opposition! Claim victory over our enemies! At least that’s the natural human reaction. But what happens when you discover that your so-called enemy is a person with a name, a history, fears, and aspirations? Today, Lee Whitworth, Field Director of Biblical Ministries Worldwide challenges us to see the person behind the mask – and learn why it’s truly a blessing to be a peacemaker!
The Buzzword is “Social Justice.” But if you ask people to define what that means, you’ll get a profusion of contradicting definitions. Paul Seger, General Director of Biblical Ministries Worldwide joins Mike and Heather to tackle the issue from a Gospel perspective. Are Christians supposed to care for the needs of the downtrodden, the persecuted, and the abandoned? Yeppers! But roll up your sleeves, friend! There’s so much more!
Today Pastor Jeremy is joined by Lee Whitworth as they explain how God is wrathful towards sin. This can be a REALLY tough lesson to learn and understand, but thankfully we have some great teachers! They point out lessons we can apply to our own lives from looking at God’s wrath!
