In week one of our latest series, Heart Check, we'll take a closer look at how our resources reflect what matters most to us. Jesus teaches us that where we invest shows the true condition of our hearts. Let's explore how we can live with a heart that mirrors His generosity and purpose.
March 16, 2025 | Stand Alone | Revelation 2:4-5In this message from Revelation 2:4-5, Pastor Daniel Norris challenges us to take a spiritual “Heart Check.” Just as we visit the doctor for a physical exam, we need regular assessments of our spiritual health. Jesus praised the church in Ephesus for their hard work and endurance, but He had one concern—they had abandoned their first love. What do we do when our passion for Jesus isn't what it used to be? How do we move from routine religion back to a thriving relationship with Christ? This message explores the importance of remembering, repenting, and remaining in Him. Whether you feel like the younger son who has drifted far or the older brother who has lost intimacy, the call is the same—return to your first love.Join us as we dive into Scripture, reflect on where we stand with God, and respond to His invitation to renewal. It's time for a heart check. Are you ready?Listen now and be encouraged to take the next step in your walk with Christ.Do you know JESUS?: https://www.nblongview.org/do-you-know-jesusNeed PRAYER?: https://www.nblongview.org/praySUPPORT through giving: https://www.nbbctx.org/giving

Jesus vented His wrath on those who had turned the temple into a marketplace. You may envision this, and perhaps ask if what He did was right, considering that He was God's Son. Today, Pastor Bill will explain how you can speak up for what's right. Jesus chose to drive those people away because he saw the temple as His Father's house. Similarly, you may be faced with situations in which you must shepherd your lost fellow Christians back to God, even if it means using harsh measures.

Even if you don't believe it, there are some people who are always thinking of hurting others. That's how they get joy in their lives. Those who think negatively about others are prone to misguided thinking and miss out on God's kindness and mercy. In today's message, Pastor Bill discusses how you can help others. When you receive Jesus into your heart, your soul resets your life and transforms the way you think. When Jesus is in you, you will always think about helping others in need, just as He did!
