Usuários da telefonia fixa que realizam ligações entre cidades do mesmo DDD vão começar a pagar mais barato. A medida está sendo ampliada mês a mês para as localidades e até junho será implantada em todo país. Desde o domingo (1), moradores do Amazonas, Amapá, Maranhão, Pará e Roraima passaram a sentir a mudança por conta do telefone fixo. As ligações entre cidades que usam o mesmo código DDD deixaram de ser consideradas chamadas de longa distância e passarão a ser tarifadas como ligações locais.A Agência Nacional de Telecomunicações (Anatel), agência que regula as comunicações no país, definiu que chamadas entre cidades de uma região com mesmo código de área deixarão de ser consideradas chamadas de longa distância e passarão a ser tarifadas como ligações locais. Na prática, as chamadas dentro de um mesmo DDD passam a funcionar como já acontece hoje na telefonia móvel.Aqui no Espírito Santo e Rio de Janeiro, a mudança passa a valer em 10 de maio de 2026. A partir dessa data, todas as cidades que usam os DDD's 21, 22, 24, 27 e 28 passarão a integrar uma única área local de cobrança, fazendo com que ligações entre municípios desses códigos deixem de ser interurbanas e passem a ter tarifa de chamada local. Em entrevista à CBN Vitória, o coordenador na Gerência de Regulamentação da Anatel, Joselito Antônio Gomes dos Santos, fala sobre o assunto.
