And i have learned that God doesn't only do things in our life when we are ready but when the other person who it will effect is ready too because God knows the level that we are all at and what we need to move us to the next level. So we will sometimes struggle to get where he is taking us to but if have to cry if we have to shut he is taking us there so it's best if we think it all joy i now understand what brother james was saying and all we learn how to be single minded to get what God has for us in the right time and season have a blessed day and life in Jesus mighty name i pray amen thank you all for listening to blessed and free 63 where Jesus christ is Lord

Count It All Joy
James series message 1Text: James 1:1-4In this message, we begin a new sermon series in James; a treatise, by a very important person, on practical Christian living. We'll introduce the overall themes in James' epistle, and focus on how to engage trials and testing in our lives.
What does it really mean to count it all joy when you face trials? In this in-depth Bible teaching from James 1:2–4, we explore the spiritual purpose behind trials, the testing of faith, and how patience is actually produced in the life of a believer. This message breaks down the original Greek meanings behind key words like count, joy, trial, and testing, revealing that trials are not automatic defeats—but spiritual tests meant to be overcome. You'll discover why joy is something you can command, how silence causes believers to lose authority, and how faith responds at the beginning of a trial, not the end.If you've ever wondered why God allows trials, how faith is tested, or how to grow spiritually under pressure, this teaching will bring clarity, encouragement, and biblical truth straight from the book of James.

In times of trial, we are called to active faith, strengthening our spiritual discipline rather than retreating or remaining passive. James urges us to turn our eyes to God, asking for His wisdom with confident faith and a humble willingness to receive what He gives. Through God's Word and prayer, we choose to trust His sovereignty and endure faithfully until the end.

Were it simply that they are called upon to rejoice, how uncouth is this to men in that posture and circumstance they are supposed fallen into! Well, but yet count it joy, says he : not only moderate, keep in, and smother your contrary passions, - which was the highest lesson that philosophy and the Stoics, the best of philosophers, had taught, - but the gospel calls upon us 'therefore,' &c., or for and upon these temptations, to rejoice. 'Count it joy;'
Awake and Begin Rejoicing! In Philippians chapter 4 verse 4 we are encouraged to rejoice in the Lord always. When you awake in the morning, even before getting up for the day, start rejoicing in the Lord. When that unexpected circumstance arises or your mobile phone announces that your kin folks are only ten minutes away and you have little or no preparation time to receive them; start rejoicing in the Lord. It is so important that your spirit remains triumphant in the midst of all kinds or fleshly pressures and situations.
Leave the Past Behind! People who have inherited eternal life, because they accepted God's gracious gift of forgiveness of their sins, should always be joyful. They can cast all their burdens and needs, onto the Lord. They do not have to carry their shame and guilt into their present from the past. These people are learning, day by day, that God is Jehovah Jireh, their provider and Jehovah Rapha, the healer of their spirit, soul and body. God's children can be healed, through faith, in God's word, from any sickness or disease, they have to overcome. Furthermore, they have complete security, as a child of God, to overcome whatever circumstance they may encounter. Their joy should be full, when they realise, they are no longer in Satan's kingdom of darkness, but are now in God's kingdom of light and love.
James 1:2–3 says this.... “My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.” Make this our mission today... to count it all joy!

James invites us to take a new perspective on trials—to see them as occasions for joy. Yes, easier said than done. But to help us take this counterintuitive approach to life's hard stuff, James points us to something we need to know, pray, and see. Pastor Jared Richard's sermon on James 1:2-18 examines the strange pairing of joy and trials that James introduces in his letter. Just as some unexpected combinations work well together (like French fries and milkshakes), joy and trials can coexist when viewed through the lens of godly wisdom. Pastor Jared explains that God uses trials to reveal genuine faith and strengthen it as He prepares believers for future glory. The sermon outlines two possible paths when facing trials: the path of wisdom and the path of foolishness. The path of wisdom sees trials as tests from a good Father who wants us to succeed, leading to endurance, perseverance, and ultimately Christian maturity. This perspective allows believers to "count it all joy" (James 1:2) amid difficulties. Conversely, the path of foolishness views trials as temptations, leading to sinful desires, actions, and ultimately death. Pastor Jared reminds us that God is unchanging and good, that He "gives generously to all without reproach" (James 1:5), and that for those who remain steadfast, the "crown of life" awaits (James 1:12). James 1 - Count it All Joy by Chaplain Braswell
How do you find joy when life feels overwhelming? In this episode of the Jaime Luce Podcast, we dive into the book of James to uncover the powerful truth that trials are not meant to break us but to build steadfast faith. James urges believers to “count it all joy when you meet trials of various kinds” because the testing of faith produces endurance and maturity. Drawing from her own experiences and the Word of God, Jaime shows how joy is not a denial of pain but a choice to trust in God's promises. Through scripture, personal stories, and encouragement, you'll learn: - Why trials strengthen and refine your faith - How asking God for wisdom brings direction in times of uncertainty - Why joy is a powerful source of spiritual strength - What it means to live out your faith with action, not just words - How Jesus Himself endured suffering “for the joy set before Him” (Hebrews 12:2) If you are weary, discouraged, or facing challenges, this message will remind you that God is faithful. Sorrow is temporary, but His joy is eternal.
We will all experience challenges that can either bring us closer to the Lord and shape our testimony of joy, or it can drive us away from the Lord. Rhonda has experienced many challenges in her life, some being diabetes since age 11, paralysis in her 20's, and the loss of her eyesight 7 years ago. None of these things made her angry or bitter at God. In this episode, Rhonda shares encouragement for the person struggling to have joy and how she has a deep rooted trust and joy in Christ that lasts beyond circumstances. James 1:2-4 Count it all joy, my brothers, when you meet trials of various kinds, for you know that the testing of your faith produces steadfastness. And let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. If this episode was encouraging to you, you should share it with someone! Stu Epperson and his mom, Nancy, reflect on the power of memorizing Scripture during life's trials. After a surprise hospital visit, Nancy shares how James 1 came alive in a fresh way—and recites it from memory. Be encouraged to hide God's Word in your heart and pass it on to the next generation.
10 Concerning this salvation, the prophets who prophesied about the grace that was to be yours searched and inquired carefully, 11 inquiring what person or time[a] the Spirit of Christ in them was indicating when he predicted the sufferings of Christ and the subsequent glories. 12 It was revealed to them that they were serving not themselves but you, in the things that have now been announced to you through those who preached the good news to you by the Holy Spirit sent from heaven, things into which angels long to look.—1 Peter 1: 10-12

In the final program in the series on suffering, we glean an incredibly encouraging message: that we can count it all joy when we suffer, because our suffering makes us ever more like Christ.James 1:2-4 says, "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing."Being joyful during suffering may seem counterintuitive, but the fact is - we can rejoice in seasons of suffering, for four specific reasons we will explore today, as we Rinse and Repeat!(RAR2025EP22)
Count it all Joy in the Father who gets us through life's trials.
Count it all Joy in the Father who gets us through life's trials.
In Scripture, followers of Christ are encouraged to rejoice, even in the midst of suffering and trials. How is this possible? Be encouraged as John explains and shares individual examples to help us understand how to "count it all joy."

Your Hope-Filled Perspective with Dr. Michelle Bengtson podcast
Episode Summary: In honor of International Happiness Day, join me as I sit down with Rev. Jessica Van Roekel to explore what it really means to count it all joy. As we reflect on personal experiences and biblical examples, we’ll highlight the distinction between circumstantial happiness and the deep, steadfast joy that comes from trusting God through trials. You’ll gain a deeper understanding of how joy can be a deliberate response to life’s challenges, cultivating faith and steadfastness. Whether you’re navigating hardship or seeking a renewed perspective, this conversation offers hope and encouragement to find joy in every circumstance. International Day of Happiness aims to make people around the world realize the importance of happiness within their lives. This day encourages people to spread happiness through a small action. But what happens when actions don’t cut it, and the feeling of happiness lasts mere seconds? What do we do when the idea of happiness seems far off and impossible? Quotables from the episode: I liken joy and happiness, the difference between that is that a river usually has a source. And A river can get filled up with mud and leaves and twigs and even beavers come along and build dams and so further on down the little stream, it's just dried up, rocky, dry bed. But if you follow that stream, you eventually come to the source and the source is where it just bubbles out. And that's how I liken happiness and joy is that joy is the source. My relationship with the Lord is my source of really life. It's my source of source of strength. It's my source of everything. The breath that I breathe comes from God and that is my joy. So, I can have these circumstances like postpartum where it felt like continue on with the analogy that streambed dried up. It's like the depression built this dam between the feelings of happiness and yet that joy, the source was still bubbling and still there. From a neuroscience perspective, happiness and joy engage the brain in distinct but overlapping ways. Both emotions activate reward systems in the brain, but their triggers, durations, and neural pathways differ significantly. Happiness is often a fleeting emotional state triggered by external stimuli or achievements, like eating a favorite meal, receiving a compliment, or reaching a goal. The brain's happiness response is typically short-lived, subsiding once the rewarding experience ends or the novelty wears off. Joy is a deeper, more enduring emotional state that often arises from intrinsic sources, such as gratitude, faith, or connection with others. Unlike happiness, it does not rely solely on external circumstances. Joy is more sustainable than happiness because it is less tied to transient external factors and more rooted in internal states like faith, gratitude, and meaningful relationships. Happiness primarily relies on external stimuli and rewards, triggering immediate but temporary dopamine release Joy emerges from internal processes and deeper reflections, engaging serotonin pathways and regions involved in emotional and existential meaning. Happiness is short-term, as the brain’s reward circuitry adapts quickly to pleasurable stimuli (a phenomenon called hedonic adaptation). Joy is longer-lasting, supported by neural circuits linked to emotional regulation, contentment, and resilience. Happiness can be disrupted by stress, as the brain's focus shifts to managing perceived threats. Joy can coexist with stress, as it often stems from a sense of purpose or faith that provides emotional resilience during trials. Happiness happens to us while joy happens within us—fruit of the Spirit, a choice, endures hardships/sufferings. Happiness is a reaction but joy is a practice and a behavior, deliberate and intentional. In the Bible, happiness appears less than 30 times but joy appears hundreds of times. Counting it all joy when we face trials means we: experience God’s strength, feel the power of faith, hang on God’s powerful arm, and witness God’s work. When we “count it all joy” God proves himself faithful to produce steadfastness in our hearts.
