Ralph Macchio and Pat Moriata star as the kid and his mentor as young Danny LaRusso is faced with a new life in a new city and it gets off to a rough start with the locals. A story of love, loss, patience, and doing what's right in many ways, the kid and the handyman take a journey that allows them both to learn and for Danny LaRusso to grow through. It's a 1984 classic which has resulted in sequels and even a more recent modern follow up series, so before you see those, re-take the original on Fetch up on your Hisense TV.

The first rule of karate is to resolve any situation without violence. Unless you're Danny LaRusso, of spaghetti-shirt fame, when your first rule is to punch first and apologise later. Join us for the Karate Kid (1984), where you can become a black belt in just a few day/night cycles. Warning: training may include household chores, emotionally abusing your girlfriend, and topless sparring with enemy number one (the Pacific Ocean).Music created by Jack Parsons. Actor and comedian Jenny Slate talks about revisiting Marcel the Shell with Shoes On in a feature-length film based on the viral web series. Celebrity chef Roger Mooking reflects on how his love of cooking and music helped make him the artist he is today. Entertainment critic Maureen Lenker discusses her recent op-ed for Entertainment Weekly, in which she argues that Marvel's female super heroes keep getting short-changed. Actor Ralph Macchio, the original Karate Kid, talks about reprising his role as Danny LaRusso in the web series Cobra Kai.
Continuing off the events of season three, longtime rivals Johnny Lawrence and Danny LaRusso agree to merge their karate dojos if they have any hopes to beat John Kreese as the new head of Cobra Kai. However, with two conflicting styles, they both struggle to find common ground. Meanwhile, Kreese seeks the aid of longtime ally, and Cobra Kai co-founder, Terry Silver to employ his ruthless methods of teaching in order to make the dojo more formidable than ever. We're on a mission to help one million people RISE by 2030 - join the movement at www.myrise.co.uk Some of you will recognise the title of the blog. It's the Cobra Kai motto. From the original Karate Kid films. And the recent Netflix Series. After repeated requests from them, I've started watching it with my two older sons. It is a little bit age inappropriate, I'll admit. But, they've been on best behaviour recently. Anyway……….. It's the approach that Johnny Lawrence and his dojo adopt. A variation of the “attack is the best form of defence” approach. Most commonly thought of in more combat related situations. But actually seen every day in interactions between people. Especially online. It can feel like people are attacking us sometimes. Arguing against us. Telling us they think we're wrong. Disagreeing with us. “Having a go”. But, ultimately, they're not really attacking us. They're defending themselves. Defending their beliefs. Defending their way of doing things. Us thinking and doing things differently can be seen as an attack they need to defend themselves against. It's their thing and their thing alone. Nothing to do with us really. How our actions and words make others feel and act is nothing to do with us. Unless we let it be. If we live a lesser life because we're concerned about what others will think, no one benefits. Far more people have unsubscribed from this blog over the years than read it on a daily basis. Most have looked at it and decided it's not for them. Some feel the need to reply and tell me their less than positive thoughts about them. That's cool. Nothing to do with me. If I changed what I wrote to try and appeal to everyone, it would resonate with no one. If I stopped doing them because most people don't want to read them, no one would benefit. Always remember that when it feels like someone is attacking you, they're just defending themselves. It's their thing, not yours. You being you is the only way the world benefits. Much love, Jon ‘ny Midnight' Hall P.S. I was shocked to find that the actor that plays Danny LaRusso is four years older than the actor that play Johnny Lawrence. And he was 22 in real life in the first film! And also that Danny LaRusso is now older than Mr Miyagi was in the films.
Join hosts Dominic Lawton & Ken B Wild as they trim each other's Bonsai trees whilst taking a nostalgic deep dive into THE KARATE KID (1984) Discussions include hit Netflix spin-off Cobra Kai, the fan opinion that Danny LaRusso is actually the villain and how nostalgia can cloud your judgement of a film. Meanwhile, the guys pinpoint the exact moment Jonny Lawrence's life goes to shit and we learn the difference between rolling a joint and wiring a plug. Later, it's Ken's turn to pitch us a film and he gives us Daniel Radcliffe being taught martial arts by the guy who stunt doubled for Michael Keaton in the first Batman movie! It's got montages, it's got street fights, its got cockney accents??? Daniel Radcliffe IS KUNG FU COCKNEY! The most explosive episode of Attack on Titan has dropped and we’re breaking it all down. Attack on Titan dropped another episode and it was wild to say the least. How is Eren faring? Today didn't go exactly as we'd hoped. While I don't condone the violence that took place, I understand where it is coming from. Americans on both sides of the aisle feel as if they are being overlooked, unheard, and cheated. After four years of taunting by the Democrats and the Leftist lunatics, have Trump supporters simply had enough? Or was there a little help from the anarchist Antifa crowd? It's hard to say right now. There isn't a lot of excellent things that have come from today. We may be looking at a Democrat controlled D.C., where they have all three branches of government to do whatever they please with. Did Pence sell us out? What does it mean for the near future? Only time will tell. So grab a glass of wine, or the bottle, and settle in. We have to gripe, we have to be angry, and we have to regroup. We cannot begin anything with violence. While I understand the anger my fellow Patriots are feeling, we must understand, too, that our entire movement is undermined when we stoop to this. Violence should never be the first step. Don't lose hope, my friends. We still have God and that's a lot. Regardless of who wins or loses, we know who wins in the End. Take courage in that. We're basically Danny LaRusso in the last ten seconds of any tournament.... It's time to get off the mat and get into Crane pose.
Welcome to LRM's No Mercy Podcast! Over the next few weeks Kyle, Christine, and Manny will be recapping Cobra Kai Season 1 and Season 2 in preparation for the release of Season 3. Don't have time to rewatch the first two seasons, don't worry we have you covered. Once Season 3 hits, we'll break it down into karate-chopped-wood-chunks for you to consume! This isn't your local Dojo. This isn't your momma's house. There is no crying, no quitting, and no being a p****! You will Strike First, you will Strike Hard, and you will show absolutely NO MERCY! It's hard to believe that Cobra Kai Season 1 first hit almost three years ago (May 2018, okay not that "almost") on YouTube. The series was an instant hit despite low subscriptions to YouTube's premium service to be able to watch it. The show was allegedly heavily pirated and people shared their YouTube Red access like crazy. The point is, the show got huge even if YouTube and Google didn't know it. Netflix did though and they jumped at the chance to do Season 3 AND bring us Season 4! The first season reintroduced the Karate Kid stars, William Zabka and Ralph Macchio, as Johnny Lawrence and Danny Larusso respectively. It brought a cast of great kids that kept the series grounded, lively, and full of moments that had us saying" I wish I could do that." However, it's not all fun and games. Johnny is bringing the Cobra Kai Dojo back and that causes Danny to start training himself and new students. There is a war brewing, but this is just the spark. Be sure to tune in next Thursday for the Season 2 recap! Please like, share, and SUBSCRIBE to the podcast and this will help us help you! Whenever you see a top performer, you can bet there is a coach helping that performer reach their peak. Behind Michael Jordan there was Phil Jackson, behind Tom Brady there was Bill Belicheck. And behind Danny Larusso there was Mr. Miyagi. To reach the highest levels of success, even the most gifted stars need a great coach. This is true in sports, business and even real estate. The most successful real estate investors I know hire professional coaches. Just like in sports, professional coaches can point out areas of improvement, correct technique and behavior, share success secrets, and provide motivation and focus. Their role is to guide you to success and enlightenment, not to save you from your high school bullies. Finding the right coach can be a challenge, so we spoke with Rod Santomassimo to learn more about finding the right professional coach. Rod heads up the Massimo Group, a coaching firm dedicated to helping commercial real estate professionals.
