Über ihren “zweiten Geburtstag” und was sie durch ihre Krankheit über das Leben gelernt hat.

Die Schweizer Autorin Sara Gmuer erzählt von den Karriere-Träumen einer Schauspielerin, die plötzlich in Reichweite rücken. Der Schweizer Autor Tim Altermatt schildert die Lebenswelt eines Mitzwanzigers, der noch nicht weiss, welchen Träumen er nachjagen soll. «Achtzehnter Stock» ist der zweite Roman der in Berlin lebenden Schweizer Autorin Sara Gmuer. Er handelt von einer Schauspielerin namens Wanda, die in einem Plattenbau lebt – im titelgebenden achtzehnten Stock. Der Lift ist immer defekt, das Treppenhaus ein Funkloch, und das Leben als erfolgreiche Schauspielerin, von dem Wanda immer geträumt hat, scheint weit entfernt. Doch sie gibt nicht auf, geht von Casting zu Casting. Eines Tages bekommt sie dann tatsächlich die Hauptrolle in einer Netflix-Serie. Glatt läuft ihre Karriere ab dann trotzdem nicht... Der Roman ist mit viel Drive erzählt. Academia de los Nocturnos 4x39 Esta noche tenemos el honor de volver a recibir a Jesús Callejo, con quien hablaremos de su nuevo y fascinante libro: "El gabinete de las maravillas y los misterios: los 101 objetos más asombrosos de la España insólita", ilustrado por Marcos Carrasco, con prólogo de Álvaro Anula y editado por Almuzara. Una obra que, como explica Jesús, busca poner en valor las historias pequeñas de objetos que conllevan una leyenda y tradición, algunos ocultos y otros no tanto, pero que nos conectan con nuestro pasado, rituales y fiestas populares. ¿Conocéis la “Barbie romana” de Tarraco? Es una muñeca articulada de marfil datada entre el siglo III y IV d.C.. Fue encontrada en la necrópolis de Tarraco y pertenecía a una niña de clase alta, lo que se deduce por el material (marfil) y su característica articulada. La muñeca fue enterrada con la niña, sugiriendo que servía como un "useptis" o compañera para el viaje al más allá, ya que los romanos eran muy supersticiosos y creían en la vida después de la muerte. Interview with Vanbur - In this episode of Sync Music Matters I'm chatting to Vanbur aka Jessica Jones and Tim Morrish. We'll be chatting about their work on One Day, the Netflix adaptation of the novel by David Nichols which interestingly, seems to resemble their story. We'll also be digging into their creative process, the power of collaborating and the liberating power of restricting yourself creatively. We also chat Jaffa cakes... again! Vanbur is the artist project of composers Jessica Jones and Tim Morrish. Their sound can best be described as ethereal vocals floating on a bed of contemporary and haunting cinematic score.  They recently worked alongside Anne Nikitin on the score for Netflix's One Day and also had a number of their Vanbur  tracks featured as part of the soundtrack.  Independently they've worked on shows like the long running comedy drama series Brassic, Netflix's true crime show American Nightmare, Tinder Swindler and Jimmy Saville: A british Horror Story They are also working on a new album due out at the end of 2025.
