Acomi and Turk182 asks: What if someone made a low budget knockoff version of Reanimator (1985) - before the movie came out -, kept all the gore, and cut out all the good story elements? Then you'd have this charming film from New Zealand, starring the great Michael Hurst, Death Warmed Up (1984). For people who want their death hot enough to eat, but not so hot that it burns their mouth. After being hypnotized into killing his parents and spending years locked in a cuckoo clock, Michael Tucker (played by Michael Hurst, who later played Iolaus in Hercules: The Legendary Journeys TV series), is released and seeks revenge. Little does he know, that all these years later, the mad doctor that set him up has been experimenting with bringing the dead back to life and turning them into deformed monsters that with an explosively short lifespan. Now, trapped inside the madman's Patrick Nagel and Robert Palmer music video-esque hospital, Michael (played by Michael) and his friends must escape the deformed living dead. But, revenge, first! Join Acomi and Turk as they marvel at the beautiful scenery, the rich culture, the lack of exploded goats, and the utterly confusing plot of a movie that has no right to be as oddly entertaining as it is. Set your microwave to half power and the timer to 2 minutes, and Let's Watch! Death Warmed Up (1984)! Acomi and Turk182, along the occasional special guest, provide running commentary of awfulsome movie and TV shows. The hosts select movies that either one, or both, have never seen. All jokes and comments are improvised. NO PREPARED JOKES OR COMMENTS! During recording, the movies are watched at a low volume and with the subtitles on. Viewers may want to turn subtitles on as well to enhance the viewing experience. So, cue up the audio, ready the movie, and hit play when we say so. Note: This video is the commentary recorded by Acomi and Turk182, and selected screenshots. It is NOT a viewable copy of the film. The commentary can be enjoyed on its own, but if you want to experience the Let's Watch in all its glory, you'll need your own copy of the movie. Most of the movies viewed can be streamed online for free. #OMTWF #KorovaEntertainment #LetsWatch #LW #Acomi #Turk182 #awfulsome #DeathWarmedUp #NewZealand #Kiwis #MichealHurst #Iolaus #HerculesTheLegendaryJourneys #Reanimator1985 Follow Acomi on Twitter at @AcomiDraws and on Instagram at AcomiDraws. On this episode, in order to make it up to our listeners for putting out an episode on fantasy football, we decided it was time to endure something painful. So, over the past several days, Brad had to enter the Gauntlet of Trash, a marathon of ten truly horrible horror films that he had not seen before, and it certainly lived up to that moniker. On this episode, we delve into part one of the experience. You have an incomprehensible Joe D'Amato shark movie in Deep Blood, Lucio Fulci phoning it in with House By the Cemetery, legitimate contender for worst movie ever made in Things, Michele Soavi's directorial debut Stagefright, and the incredibly bizarre New Zealand splatterfest Death Warmed Up.  Please keep in mind that this was the GOOD section of the marathon. It only gets worse on part two. Much worse. Enjoy!

The Spooky Boys have hit another big milestone: 200 episodes of pretty-decent podcasting! To celebrate, we marathon'd three films back to back that we picked up from a convention, based only on their cover art. First, we get needle'd in a shower and wake up in a Mad Max nightmare with a Rutger Hauer look-a-like in Death Warmed Up (1984). Next, we watch a film that sadly has nothing to do with the video game by the same name, Dead Space (1991). Finally, we see how low the barrel goes when we scrape it hard and find the film-sludge that is Gore-Met, Zombie Chef From Hell (1986).Want us to check out your favorite gem or stinker?
