In episode 150 of the Man of Screen Podcast, Mike Zummo returns to his coverage of the Ruby Spears’ Superman show with the next two half hours. First, find out what happens when Lex Luthor buys the Great Wall of China. He’s obviously looking for something, but what? What does he need Superman for? Will he succeed or will everyone – including Clark – escape “By the Skin of the Dragon’s Teeth”? Then we flash back to Clark’s past as he vexes a teenage girl with his mischief and disobedience when he spends some time “At The Babysitter’s”. Then, Superman is going to find that his world is being assimilated. About a year or so before Star Trek: The Next Generation bestowed the Borg upon us, Metropolis was assimilated when “Cybron Strikes”. Then we have the next milestone in Clark’s life. What happens when the Child of Steel experiences “The First Day of School”. Next time: We head back over to live action for an episode with the first two episodes of Superboy: “The Jewel of Techecal” and “A Kind of Princess”.Feedback for this show can be sent to: manofscreen@gmail.com Check out the homepage for the show. Dragon's Teeth. Resurrecting an ancient civilization is tricky business, especially when the Prime Directive is on the line, and doubly so when that ancient civilization has access to subspace corridors that could shave thousands of light years off your trip home to the Alpha Quadrant. Such is the situation in which we find Captain Janeway and the rest of the Voyager Crew when Seven of Nine takes it upon herself to awaken the Vaadwaur, asleep for 900 years in stasis pods after the near total annihilation of their planet. In this episode of To The Journey, hosts Zachary Fruhling, Suzanne Williamson, and Kay Shaw have an ancient-world-style throw-down over the sixth-season Voyagerepisode "Dragon's Teeth." Join Zachary, Suzanne, and Kay as they resurrect an ancient civilization, accept that it is raining, and walk with dignity while listening to some less-than-cheerful Talaxian nursery rhymes (in the old tongue, naturally).
