We learn about Amy's fear of new technology and Stu wins an entire cross country division all on his own, or at least in his mind. We have some brand new long run nightmare fuel, two toe tales, physio banter, something about the pigeon lady from Home Alone, and why we all need to build up another fuck bucket.
https://wels2.blob.core.windows.net/ece-devotions/20260309ECME.mp3 Listen to Devotion Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” The woman said to him, “Sir, give me this water so that I won't get thirsty and have to keep coming here to draw water.” John 4:13-15 Drink From the Well Beet-red cheeks. Forehead hair stuck to a damp brow. Children coming in from a summer afternoon of hard play. Thirsty! Water! Water is on their minds, wet and refreshing. Water can cool the body temperature and fill every organ and cell in their little bodies. Water is a necessary element for life. Water was necessary for the woman at the well. She was there on that hot afternoon to get water for her survival. Red cheeks. Sweaty head. Little did she know, she was going to receive living water necessary for her eternal life. “Living water” is what Jesus offered her. At first, it sounded like a time saver. She would not have to strategically plan her day to be at the well when her nosy neighbors were not. She would not have to heave or huff as she balanced her water jug on the walk home. In fact, she would not have to go at all! One drink and she would be done with this relentless errand! Of course, Jesus was not offering her actual wet water from the well in her town. Jesus was offering himself as her Savior. Her embarrassing string of bad decisions were sins that separated her from God. Jesus was telling her to draw water from him, her Savior from her sin. The picture Jesus created for her told her to, “Listen to me! Be forgiven in me! I am the only one who can quench your thirst for peace in your heart. I constantly provide peace between you and God because when I am in your heart, God will look at you and see what I have done for you! He will see that you are one of my very own, a precious and forgiven spiritual sibling who is no longer thirsty for mercy from any other well because you have mercy in me!” We need Jesus, the living water, too! During Lent, we ponder our sin. We look at Jesus, on his way to the cross, willing to be nailed to that cross for our sins. Those are the sins that would separate us from God. Yet, by faith, we have Jesus, our living water. He satisfies our thirst for mercy by taking those sins into his own hands. When God looks upon believing hearts, he sees Jesus' perfect life and his innocent death on the cross. He sees Jesus' empty grave. There is no more separation. He calls us his own, a precious and forgiven child. Weary sinner, drink from the well of living water that Jesus offers to you. Find mercy and peace in Jesus, your forgiving Savior from sin! Prayer: Thank you for being my Savior from sin. Help me share your word with all around me so that they, too, may drink from the well of living water. Amen! Hey Doc,I'm in the middle of launching a brand-new HVAC business with my husband. And let me tell you: starting a business from scratch, self-funded, no clients, no safety net? It will humble you real quick.I've been nauseous before networking meetings.Sweaty before introducing myself.Mortified after asking a very basic question at a major conference. And I still did it.Because here's the truth I keep teaching my clients, and living in real time:The absence of fear is not required. You do not need to feel ready. You do not need to feel confident. You do not need to feel calm. You just need to move.In this episode, I'm sharing:What “doing it scared” actually looks like in real life (hint: it's not glamorous)Why embarrassment isn't fatal (even when it feels like it)The myth that confident women aren't afraidHow I'm teaching my children that bravery includes tearsWhy waiting to feel ready is keeping you stuckIf you've been avoiding something — a leadership role, a career pivot, a hard conversation, a negotiation — I want you to hear this:Being scared does not disqualify you.Fear is not a stop sign. It's usually a sign you're stepping into something bigger.Listen in, and then go do the thing.

Carving out a special place within Taipei's harder-edged sonic landscape, the Mango Season party founder and infinitely groovy DJ Pocari Sweaty has been at the forefront of Taipei's house scene for the past few years, offering Mango Seasoners extended dubs, deep euphoric house and obscure disco journeys from guests like Telephones, Benedek and Mayurashka to name a few. Currently in Australia for the first time, we're lucky enough to have him in the mix with a wonderfully spaced out selection of floated techy groovers and deep house music in its finest form. @pocari_sweaty Q. What sounds or feelings did you draw upon when gathering inspiration for this mix, and what listening environments could you imagine it being best enjoyed A. To be honest I didn't put too much thought into this mix, and didn't go into it with any plans to release a mix. I just hooked up a recorder and started playing from a loose selection of deep and techy records I'd recently bought, and I liked how it turned out! Thank you guys for digging it too, and for putting it out! Q. Are there any records in the mix that you were especially excited to share, and what is it about these songs that resonate with you so much? A. I would say I'm especially stoked to share this Terry Francis track Rock Hopper. I bought this record from a discogs seller in Taipei called bigbadjimmy. It turns out he was a DJ in Taipei in the late 90s / early 00s and even opened for Terry Francis in Seoul on his first Asia tour back then. I think it's really special to have a direct lineage to this record's original context! Q. Your Mango Season parties have become a regular fixture of the Taipei underground scene over the last few years with a host of deep digging guests covering all kinds of house and disco leaning sounds, tell us about your idea behind the night and what have been some of your favourite memories thus far? A. Taipei is definitely a city that likes heavy music, so I started Mango Season to create the kind of warm and sweet party that I really want to go to. Damn there are really too many good memories, all of the guests have been amazing. Dea's closing track last August, 多情沒有問題 by 馬玉芬 was really fun, the entirety of Telephones' set last October was incredible, and last month MLiR and I played b2b all night for the second anniversary of the party. We didn't plan a thing and played one track each for the whole night. Perfectly in sync, it was awesome.

Sweaty palms, bad decisions, and the creeping realization that the walls are closing in have always been Joe Carnahan's cinematic comfort zone, from the raw nerve of “Narc” to the adrenalized chaos of “Smokin' Aces.” With “The Rip,” Carnahan distills that obsession into its most claustrophobic form yet, a lean, pressure-cooker cop thriller that weaponizes procedure, grief, and mistrust by refusing to let anyone leave the room.Premiering January 16 on Netflix, the film follows a team of law enforcement officers tasked with counting a massive cash seizure inside a private home, only to realize the money has placed them squarely in someone else's crosshairs, turning routine protocol into a moral and physical siege where loyalty fractures and survival comes at a cost. The film stars Matt Damon, Ben Affleck, Steven Yeun, Teyana Taylor, Kyle Chandler, Scott Adkins, and more.On this episode of The Discourse, host Mike DeAngelo is joined by writer-director Joe Carnahan to discuss how “The Rip” grew out of deeply personal real-life experience, why confinement can be more terrifying than scale, collaborating with Damon and Affleck as producers, and why character-driven crime stories continue to pull him back more than any franchise machinery.

In July 2007, Prince Andrew attended a lavish party in Saint-Tropez hosted by Anglo-French billionaire Tony Murray alongside his daughter Princess Beatrice (then around 18–19 years old). At the event, he was seen socializing closely with Canadian model and singer Pascale Bourbeau—photos reportedly show the Duke with his hand on her rear, and the pair in a “nose-to-nose” pose. The article highlights that while his daughter was present at the same event, Andrew appeared absorbed in the party atmosphere with younger women.Witnesses at the gathering described it as part of a wild streak for the Prince, who was divorced, in his late 40s and apparently embracing an attention-seeking social life. One observer said: “These were really crazy years for Andrew… He was clearly having a full-blown midlife crisis.” According to the report, Andrew and Bourbeau left the party by boat with other women while Beatrice departed separately. Meet the founders of CASED a US company for body armor. I Rhett raised $3m at 17yo and founded Texas' only shuttle-serviced bike park. Throughout operation, I always noticed how practically every rider hated their pads and clothes. Even the pro DH racers! Too bulky. Hot. Itchy. Sweaty. Ripping up. Not even that protective! 10 months after founding the bike park, I saw the opportunity, and put every last penny of mine into founding Cased. To get here, it took us: 9 months (September '24 - May '25) of straight 70 hour work weeks, 5 maxed out credit cards, and 120 different iterations of product testing. I originally planned to launch in November, and without any card debt. But, I knew I could only launch if I had an actually perfected product. The process was insane.Throughout the months, I kept on making more and more test products. My mission was to make protective apparel that was: actually comfortable, actually protective, super minimalistic, and fully custom fit. I went through dozens of manufacturers. Hundreds of cycles of testing. Nonstop research on padding and fabric and sizing. I partnered with Dylan, and I kept on racking up more and more credit card debt to sustain the research. We wanted to launch, but we needed to make a perfect product first. We soft-launched in January, but still had a ways to go.Finally, after all of the work, our first fully functional prototype was here. Everyone thought it was way better than their current gear. Sleek. Super durable. Super breathable. Made of the industry's statistically most impact-absorbing pads and statistically most breathable fabric. I knew I had it. We grinded out the last 2 months and tested the product on dozens of different body sizes, riding temperatures, and more. And, finally, after closing out the R&D and fully establishing our brand, we hard-launched Cased in May 2025. I guarantee you that this is the best protective apparel you can wear. Built purely by mountain bikers, with a sole goal in mind of making gear actually comfortable and actually protective.Want to create live streams like this? A major commercial real estate company is buying up buildings in downtown Denver and wants to convert the empty offices into housing, but the mysterious landowner is standing in the way. And what does the owner of Lakeside Amusement Park have to do with the mayor's big plan to revitalize the city's urban core? Then, RTD has committed almost $1 million to pilot a shuttle service to Red Rocks, but it won't be serving concert goers. Host Bree Davies and producer Paul Karolyi are talking about these big stories on development and transit, plus a listener question about Clerk and Recorder Paul López's delinquent property tax payments. Bree spoke with Paul López on Monday's show about his beef with the mayor's proposed budget cuts. Paul mentioned CBRE's recent analysis of downtown real estate and Evan Makovsky's recent deal to lease space on 16th St. to Green Spaces with help from the Downtown Development Authority. In this short podcast episode, Bryan explains how leaky ducts can lead to sweaty, uncomfortable houses. Moisture issues are common all across humid and "green-grass" climates in the United States. Hot, unconditioned attics and crawl spaces also often have high dew points, which can cause moisture problems in those spaces. Plants also release moisture, so agricultural communities also have those special considerations. There are several HVAC and building design factors that can prevent or worsen growth from moisture problems. Duct leakage is one of those factors. Return and supply leaks can cause moisture to enter the ductwork. Return leaks suck in air from around the leak. Supply leaks create a pressure differential that can cause mechanically-driven infiltration (MAD-AIR); when a supply duct leak puts the attic under positive pressure, somewhere else has to go under negative pressure. There are lots of gaps and cracks around boots and can lights, which provides pathways for hot, moist air to seep into the envelope. Longer runtimes and keeping the fan on will worsen these conditions. We need to control the source of moisture and then seal the ducts and boots before we focus on the equipment. Visual inspections at the connections and boots will go a long way, but there are also plenty of tools for testing duct leakage, especially by Retrotec and TEC. You can also measure house pressure to the outdoors with the air handler running and all the doors closed, but that's a qualitative measurement that has a lot of other variables to consider. The season is here, so Paul Calvisi wonders if everyone should be “mean mugging” for opener. Maybe not. We're still working out the kinks - Paul might've briefly misspoke - but he and Darren Urban and Dani Sureck dive into Week 1 heading to New Orleans. What is the biggest key to the season? Is it the 2024 draft class? The trio also discuss who in the locker room makes the best protection if you found yourself in a bar full of mean-mugging undesirables, the perfect iso cam in-game, Sweaty expectations, how to handle the Saints, Calais' impact, the return of The Wise Guy, MHJ's completion percentage, McBride's TDs, the Rivalry uniforms, Winning Behavior and a frosty Superdome press box.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
So this week's episode… I don't even know where to start. I was hungover, hormonal, sweating through my clothes — literally not okay on every level. Thankfully, Brooke Shelby came through because misery loves company, and we are spiraling together. We talk about PMDD, throwing up after two martinis, being obsessed with Ozzy Osbourne, the drama at Starbucks (Matcha Watergate is REAL), and why I think the honeymoon phase with Tyler might be… over?? Maybe. Kinda. Sorta. Anyway. We're unpacking everything from Backstreet Boys to Love Island to Bama Rush and why the hell I'm emotionally invested in 19-year-olds picking sororities.Mental health? Down bad. Makeup? Sweaty. But we're here, we're talking about it, and we're making it funny. Kinda.CALL THE HOTLINE AND TRAUMA DUMP:
We're bringing the heat with listeners' weird medical questions! Are the hot parts of the body the only Sweaty parts? Is spicy food spicier some days more than others? Is there any benefits to extra things in glasses lenses? And if your stomach can expand, why not your bladder?Music: "Medicines" by The Taxpayers https://taxpayers.bandcamp.com/Immigrant Defenders Law Center: https://www.immdef.org/
Over the weekend, my neighbor came to my 13-year-old and told him they had about 130 bales of hay that needed to be loaded. He told my boy he'd pay him $250 and it would take somewhere around 3 hours. Jax agreed and off he went. I knew I had to help him because he's never done anything like that on his own, so as it goes, I end up doing about 50% of the work. No problem. That's how I am. I don't have the patience to be waiting around on people. We get into hour 6 of our 3 hour job and Jax says, "Dad, let's just finish the rest tomorrow." I told him I was tired, too, but that we probably just needed to finish what we started. This is the critical point for most people doing anything in life..... They get to the hard and tiresome part and quit. But here's the secret no one will tell you..... If you're tired, you're only 40% of the way there. In those moments, that's when you are tested to see if you'll show up and keep your word. Do the work despite being tired. Sweaty. Uninspired. When we were headed back to the house, Jax looked at me and said, "Dad, I'm glad we got that done. That was a great lesson." I hope you take it as a good lesson for yourself, too. Growth is in the hard work. But you won't grow if you don't power through the tough parts and make it go!
