Cultivating a strong friendship with God is all about building a close and meaningful relationship with the divine. Just like how we nurture friendships with people, we can also nurture our bond with God. It involves spending time in prayer or meditation, reading sacred texts, and reflecting on our beliefs and values. Developing this friendship can bring comfort, guidance, and a sense of purpose to our lives. It's a journey of trust, love, and understanding, where we seek to connect with the divine presence that many believe watches over us and cares for us. Individuals often turn to their religious scriptures, mentors, or trusted community members for support and wisdom in this pursuit. They strive to live per their beliefs and values, seeking to grow spiritually and morally. Building a strong relationship with God can provide solace in difficult times and a sense of gratitude in moments of joy.  In this episode of The His and Her Money Show, we are joined by Faith Eury Cho, an international speaker, pastor, church planter, CEO of a nonprofit, and the author of Experiencing Friendship with God, to talk about building a strong friendship with God. In understanding divine leading, we must realize that we follow a God whose thoughts are higher than ours. Therefore, our response to God's voice should be to trust in His ability to do. Bravery is simply FAITH in Him, while fear is unbelief. In divine leading, God's ability is your confidence. Three things to stir up confidence; - Study and meditate on God's word - Pray - Be strong and do it It is important to realize that some prophecies are dependent on your actions. You have a part to play. How do you attract divine leading?- By developing an appetite for pleasing God - Having a track record of obedience

A Girl and the Word

Welcome to A Girl and the Word podcast! I'm your host Kalee, a blogger, growth marketing manager, and now podcast producer, lover of all things coffee, house plants, and Jesus. If I'm being honest with you, I've only been passionate about devoting my life to Jesus for the last few years. Growing up, I was a pastor's kid for a brief period of time, but I've faced my fair share of difficulties, as we all do in this world, and it wasn't until I was alone, on top of a mountain in Scotland, that God really got my attention. You see, I'd been in a relationship for over ten years and I was slowly but surely selling my soul to the world. I had forgotten that my identity was found in Christ alone and I began to try to find it in the things of this world. This left me broken, lonely, and cynical. I wasn't sure that following Jesus was worth it, so I just settled for a life of complacency and comfort. Up until the mountain moment, I hadn't really known who God was on a deep level and more importantly, who he says I am. Fast forward 4+ years, and here I am. I've been through enough ups and downs the last few years to last me a lifetime, but I know that God didn't call us to have an easy life, he just called us to follow him. So that's where I'm at now. I've decided to start a podcast! There are so many topics and ideas I want to cover, so I'm aiming to release at least one episode a week. I'm really excited about this and I hope that whether or not you have a relationship with God, want to grow deeper in your relationship with him, are new to this whole following God thing, or you aren't sure you even believe in God, you'll get something from this podcast. I aim to start offering free resources as well, like small Bible Study guides, etc. but more to come there. Now, if you like the sound of this, and you want to hear more about:How to stand firm in your faith Love, according to God Having faith regardless of your circumstance Finding your identity in Christ Materialism Money & the world's values vs. God's Single seasons Finding joy no matter what ...and so much more!! then I pray that you subscribe to this podcast and follow @agirlandthewordpodcast on Instagram to keep up to date with the latest episodes, daily inspiration, and more! I can't tell you how much it means to me if you decide to listen and I pray that God blesses you and speaks to your heart.

Thank You Jesus I believe that this mini series will help us to understand how we can stand for the things of God and for the House of God Having a Pastor in our lives provides the necessary all-round covering needed to fulfill our God given destinies. Jesus Christ ascended and led captivity captive and the gifts He gave to men were all Ministerial gifts. Ephesians 4:8-13. Verses 11 & 12 of the same portion reads, 11And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ A previous negative experience or series of experiences with a Preacher is not enough evidence to make us generalize that all Pastors are wicked, or Pedophiles, rapists, fraudulent, greedy or murderers. There must be Judases in the mix. Yes, we all agree that all Pastors are not the same and that's why it's important for us to be able to: Separate them, Select them but we never reject the Ministry of a Pastor in our lives. We'll be cheating ourselves by doing so. To help us separate and select, we need to know the 4 kinds of Pastors that are out there. 1. False Pastor: Ministers who patronize the dark world and use satanic powers. Sometimes in The Name of Jesus and under the guise of Church. 2. Fake Pastors: Ministers who are not called. They use only tricks and entertainment to build a following. These are of two categories; the pretenders and the possessed. 3. Flimsy Pastors: These are genuinely called of God but only depend on their piousness but have no connection with God because of fear, lack of information or offense. 4. Fiery Pastors: Genuine Ministers who depend on the Power of The Supernatural God and the Revelation of the Scriptures So examine your journey. Could it be that you've had your encounters with Pastors that are Flimsy, Fake and False? Beloved I urge you to get to work and begin separating, selecting and no more outrightly rejecting the influence is a Preacher. Thank You Jesus

Are you feeling fearful today? There is so much going on in this world that can cause us to experience fear. But what is it that we are afraid of? And what does God's word say about those fears? Are you fearful of 'not having enough?' With all the media reports about our economy, are you feeling fearful about not having enough? God's word says ... The Lord is my best friend and my shepherd. I always have more than enough. Psalm 23:1 TPT And in Matthew 6:31-33 So then, forsake your worries! Why would you say, ‘What will we eat?’ or ‘What will we drink?’ or ‘What will we wear?’ For that is what the unbelievers chase after. Doesn’t your heavenly Father already know the things your bodies require? So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him. Then all these less important things will be given to you abundantly. Matthew 6:31-33 TPT I know sometimes it can be really hard to believe the truth in this scripture, but I encourage you to meditate on it and ask God to give you faith to believe it. Are you fearful of anxiety overtaking you? Are you feeling fearful, that you are loosing your grip on reality, that anxiety is taking over? God's word says ... He offers a resting place for me in his luxurious love. His tracks take me to an oasis of peace, the quiet brook of bliss. That’s where he restores and revives my life. He opens before me pathways to God’s pleasure and leads me along in his footsteps of righteousness so that I can bring honor to his name. Psalm 23:2-3 TPT And remember Jesus left us with His peace ... Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 NIV Are you fearful of loneliness? Are you fearful of being alone and having to face things by yourself? God's word says ... Lord, even when your path takes me through the valley of deepest darkness, fear will never conquer me, for you already have! You remain close to me and lead me through it all the way. Your authority is my strength and my peace. The comfort of your love takes away my fear. I’ll never be lonely, for you are near. Psalm 23:4 TPT God tells us He is always with us. Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Deuteronomy 31:6 NIV Are you feeling fearful of the enemy? Are you feeling surrounded and powerless? God's word says ... You become my delicious feast even when my enemies dare to fight. You anoint me with the fragrance of your Holy Spirit; you give me all I can drink of you until my heart overflows. Psalm 23:5 TPT You will not need to fight in this battle. Position yourselves, stand still and see the salvation of the Lord, who is with you, O Judah and Jerusalem!’ Do not fear or be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them, for the Lord is with you. 2 Chronicles 2:17 NKJV Just a note about 'positioning' ourselves. I can think of at least four ways we can position ourselves well today .... In God's Word In worship - having an attitude of worshipping God Having quiet time with God In the company of believers   Are you fearful about the future? Are you feeling fearful about the future? God's word says ... So why would I fear the future? For your goodness and love pursue me all the days of my life. Then afterward, when my life is through, I’ll return to your glorious presence to be forever with you! Psalm 23:6 TPT Our God has the victory, and we are more than overcomers in Jesus Name. Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. Romans 8:37 NKJV No more fear in Jesus Name. Our eternal destiny is heaven. AMEN! So while it is important to be aware of what is happening in this world, let's always remember to keep reading God's word, meditating on it and declaring His promises. Transformation Tuesdays was inspired by the CD "The Jesus Question" by Matthew Kelly. Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione and Aaron Emig recap the Gospel from the prior Sunday and give action steps and resources to transform our lives for that week every Tuesday at 2:10 p.m. at Morris Hall from Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Collinsville, IL…A Spiritual Home from Everyone Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Hello, I’m Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione Aaron Emig: And I’m Aaron Emig and we are celebrating the Solemnity of the Most Holy Trinity… The Question for this week is…Are we being disciples and making disciples? The Gospel comes from: John 3:16-18 Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Today we celebrate the theological fact that there are three equal persons who are one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The Trinity is what we as Catholics call a mystery of our Faith, which means that we may never fully understand, …… at least not in this life time. Some have tried to give human explanations of the Trinity, such as H2O being water, ice and steam (all different forms, but all are H2O). Tradition holds that St. Patrick used the shamrock or three leaf clover to explain the trinity. Three distinct petals or leaves but together they make the one shamrock. Or how about an equilateral tri-angle with three equal sides. All three lines are equal to one another but none of them form the tri-angle separately. Three district lines together forming one geometric shape. All of these are imperfect examples as they all fail in one way or another to capture the divine reality of the Trinity. Aaron Emig: The word belief is the first that struck me with this Gospel… Having that faith that Jesus is the Son of God… Having that faith that Jesus came to save the world from sin… Again, God gives us another promise… Everyone that believes in Him will have eternal life… So, doesn’t it make sense to keep building that personal relationship with Jesus? Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Again, the Trinity is a mystery of our faith and we may not fully understand. But one thing we do need to understand is that the Trinity is the perfect example of Christian love and Christian life. For Jesus Himself says, “Love one another as I have loved you.” Unconditional Love! And when we can do that, we, in a sense are sharing in the life and mission of the Most Holy Trinity. For when we love as God loves, then we are doing what the Trinity does. So, let us continue to make this offer to one another today and everyday as we pray; May the grace and peace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God the Father and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with each one of us today and every day. Aaron Emig: Like a broken record; we just need to keep building our friendship with Jesus… Again, it is the fundamentals of Christianity… Each day we need to read the Gospel and ask the Holy Spirit to guide us on what we should hear and do… Just start by reading the daily Gospel every day… It takes 5 minutes… Then sit back and ask the Holy Spirit on what you should hear and do… Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: Wisdom Words for the Week Are… “God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him might not perish but might have eternal life.” John 3:16 Aaron Emig: Transformation Tool… The Joy of the Gospel book by Pope Francis Our Papa basically tells us why the Gospel is the foundation of Christianity and how it helps us build that personal relationship with Jesus… We are giving free copies of the book at Morris Hall on each Tuesday at 2:10 p.m.… Again, on while supplies last… Aaron Emig: Transformation Tuesdays Prayer… “Jesus, how do You want me to transform my life today?” Deacon Jimmy Ghiglione: God Bless from Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church…A Spiritual Home for Everyone
