A Deeper Look at Labor As we celebrate Labor Day, Pastor Jack King delves into the history and spiritual meaning behind the holiday. From the Industrial Revolution to the struggles of early factory workers, he traces how the concept of celebrating labor came to be. But more than just a history lesson, he ties the act of working to our identity as Christians, highlighting the dignity and value God places on honest labor. Main Points: -- Labor is a Christian principle - Work is an essential part of the Christian life, as it allows us to provide for our families and contribute to the church's mission. -- Love your work - A "master at your craft" who loves what they do "will never work a day in [their] life," finding a blessing in their daily tasks. -- The historical fight for fair labor - Pastor King gives a brief history of the labor movement, detailing the conflict between factory owners and workers that eventually led to the formation of unions and the establishment of Labor Day as a national holiday. -- Work as a blessing from God - Having the health and ability to work is a gift from God. -- The Proverbs on work - The book of Proverbs warns against laziness and idleness, linking diligence with prosperity and slumber with poverty. Scriptures for Further Study: -- Proverbs 5:10 -- Proverbs 19:13 ******* This is the radio program with the music removed. A Time for Pushback In a world where societal norms are constantly shifting, Pastor Jack King observes a new era of cultural pushback. Pastor Jack King opens by sharing a personal anecdote about injuring himself while installing new glass doors at his church. He notes the irony of his body reminding him that "the times have caught up with" him, a perfect lead-in to his main theme. He then recounts hearing a statement from a public figure that he feels compelled to address, namely, the assertion that doing good work might be one's "ticket to heaven." Pastor King strongly refutes this idea, clarifying that: -- Salvation is not earned through good works but is a gift received through faith in Jesus Christ. He explains that while good works are commendable, they cannot pay the price for sin. -- The only way to heaven is through the atoning work of Jesus Christ on the cross. He stresses that we must confess our sins and ask Jesus to represent us before God. He refers to Jesus as the "mighty Lion of the tribe of Judah," our counsel, who pleads our case before the heavenly court. Pastor King then discusses the cultural shifts he's witnessed, particularly as a "child of the 60s." He reflects on how societal and media influences have, over time, promoted agendas that he believes are contrary to a Christian worldview, leading many to feel like "oddballs" if they spoke out. He suggests that we are now seeing a "pushback" against this trend, a time when people are becoming bolder in speaking their minds and standing firm in their convictions. He emphasizes that this stance should always be rooted in love for one another, regardless of differences. Jesus teaches that faith for provision begins with putting God first. In the Sermon on the Mount, He calls us to replace worry with trust. Just as God faithfully cares for the birds of the air and the flowers of the field, He will take care of us. Worry cannot change our circumstances, but faith positions us to see God's hand at work. As we seek first the Kingdom of God, everything else we need will be given to us. The real question is not whether God can provide; it is whether we truly trust Him to.Pastor Bomi RobersonSunday August 17, 2025 Live at 11:15 AM
The Heart of the Christian Life The Christian life is a journey of humility and forgiveness, a path that often looks different from what the world expects. In this message, Pastor King shares personal stories and biblical insights to guide us toward a deeper understanding of what it truly means to follow Christ. He reflects on how church life has changed over the years, from the music we sing to the way we worship, and emphasizes that while forms may change, the foundational truths of the gospel remain the same. In this teaching, you will discover: -- The importance of humility, which is not about having a low self-image but about prioritizing God and others over ourselves. -- The power of forgiveness, a central message of Christ's ministry and a core practice for every believer. -- The need to live out our faith in a way that honors God, even when it means going against cultural norms or personal desires. -- The biblical basis of the church, launched by Jesus and founded on Peter's confession that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God. -- The importance of repentance, the powerful message preached by John the Baptist, which prepares the heart for Christ's message of grace. The Gospel on the Radio Talk Show with Pastor Jack King of Tallahassee, Florida
Join Pastor Jack King for "Operation Midnight Hammer," kicking off August with reflections on his busy July, including a highly successful Christian Youth Ministries International (CYMI) camp where he taught young people about the plan of salvation from Genesis to Christ's sacrifice. He then shifts focus to his church, Freedom Road Christian Ministry (formerly First Church of the Open Bible), and their recent move to a new 7,000-square-foot facility at 4141 Appalachee Parkway. Recognizing shifts in church attendance post-COVID, Pastor King is seeking community input on how to best serve Tallahassee. He invites listeners to text him with suggestions for ministry needs, asking: -- How can Freedom Road Christian Ministry most effectively reach the community? -- What specific needs does the community have that the church can address (e.g., counseling for divorce, family-oriented ministries)? Pastor King also shares an intriguing story about a 15-year, highly classified military operation, "Operation Midnight Hammer," initiated under President Donald J. Trump, which successfully obliterated Iran's nuclear capabilities. He explains the process of uranium enrichment and the development of the GBU-57 "bunker buster" weapon specifically designed to penetrate and destroy Iran's deeply buried nuclear sites. The operation culminated in a ceasefire agreement after a 12-day war between Iran and Israel, following Israel's initial actions to neutralize Iran's air defense systems. Pastor King encourages Christian ministries to reach out and schedule an appearance on the show to share their work with the community. The Gospel on the Radio Talk Show with Pastor Jack King of Tallahassee, Florida
On today's "Gospel of the Radio Talk Show," Pastor Jack King tackles the pressing concerns weighing on believers' minds amidst escalating global tensions. He recounts being asked about the "end of the world" as a young man in the Navy during a Middle East conflict in the 1970s and how that same question persists today. While acknowledging that biblical prophecy, particularly the Battle of Armageddon, will involve Israel, Pastor King firmly states that no one knows the day or hour of Christ's return. He cautions against getting swept up in political speculation and news commentary, instead pointing listeners to the clear biblical warnings, like the parable of the wise and foolish virgins. The core message is not one of fear or frantic prediction, but of diligent preparation. Pastor King encourages a practical, common-sense faith that calls every Christian to live a life worthy of the gospel, staying close to the Master and ensuring their spiritual "lamps" are trimmed and burning. This episode serves as a powerful reminder to focus on our personal walk with God, so that no matter what unfolds on the world stage, we are found ready. Pastor King also invites local listeners to a 4th of July celebration at Freedom Road Christian Ministry, located at 4141 Appalachee Parkway. "When God moves, the mountains step aside." --Pastor Jack King In this encouraging episode of "The Gospel on the Radio Talk Show," Pastor Jack King takes a break from interviewing guests to share a message directly from his heart, inspired by a song that has deeply ministered to him through recent personal and ministry challenges. The song, "When God Moves" by the Troy Burns Family, has become an anthem for him during the complex process of relocating Freedom Road Christian Ministry and its radio studio. Pastor King transparently discusses the technical glitches and demanding workload that come with such a massive undertaking, admitting that even seasoned ministers face their share of "bugs" and frustrations. Yet, amidst these "mountains," he finds strength and a powerful reminder of God's faithfulness. Drawing on the song's lyrics and the imagery of the mustard seed, Pastor King delves into what happens "When God Moves." He emphasizes that God responds to faith—even faith as small as a mustard seed. This "mustard seed theology," as he calls it, isn't about the size of your faith, but about exercising whatever faith you have. By consistently applying your faith, you grow stronger, developing a spiritual command that can speak to literal "mountains" in your life and see them step aside. This teaching serves as a powerful encouragement for anyone facing daunting obstacles. It's a reminder that God's power is limitless, and His intervention can transform seemingly insurmountable challenges. Pastor King invites listeners to reflect on the times God has moved in their own lives and to recognize that their persistent faith is the key to unlocking His miraculous power. Tune in for a candid, heartfelt, and faith-building message that reassures us of God's active presence in our struggles. Episode #1229 ******* This is the radio program with the music removed. In this heartfelt episode of "The Gospel on the Radio Talk Show," Pastor Jack King, your host for over two decades, shares a powerful observation: a profound spiritual hunger is awakening, particularly among younger generations. Many are "finding the church" and seeking a genuine relationship with God after years of indifference or distance. Pastor King transparently opens up about his own spiritual journey, from a childhood steeped in church to a pivotal time at age 14 when he began to question his beliefs and solidify his personal commitment to Christ. He candidly shares how this led to foundational life decisions, including a commitment to faithfulness before marriage, a story he elaborates on in his book, Dreams and Visions and Stories of Faith. He then breaks down the spiritual awakening process into three key stages: Wondering: A period of contemplation where individuals, perhaps previously indifferent or even rejecting God, begin to open their minds to spiritual possibilities due to life circumstances or divine nudges. Seeking: Moving beyond mere wondering, this stage involves a conscious decision to actively pursue God, much like Pastor King's own experience crying out to God under a stairwell at Bible college. Embracing the Holy Spirit: The crucial next step, where a seeker discovers the personal, intimate relationship with the Holy Spirit—the part of the Godhead that connects directly with our hearts, translates our groans, and delivers God's message back to us. Pastor King emphasizes that this relationship cleanses and convicts, leading to deeper spiritual growth. Throughout the episode, Pastor King underscores that the Christian walk is a continuous, often challenging, but ultimately joyful journey. He offers a warm invitation to Freedom Road Christian Ministry, a growing church with a new facility on Apalachee Parkway, where he hopes to mentor and influence those on their own seeking journey. He also highlights various radio programs and events from his ministry, including the popular Saturday Night Gospel Sing. Tune in for an encouraging message that speaks directly to the heart of the modern seeker. Episode #1228 ******* This is the radio program with the music removed. In tonight's episode, Pastor King discusses how God's Wisdom is all around us and fuels our Witness.
Saul's conversion from a persecutor of the Church to a proclaimer of the gospel stands as one of the most remarkable transformation sin history. His encounter with the risen Christ on the road to Damascus altered the course of his life and exemplified the transformative power of Jesus. This experience shifted Saul's perspective, leading him from spiritual blindness to spreading the gospel. His transformation gives us several truths.

Resilience comes from being able to navigate life from one season to the next. What we once depended on for comfort and provision in one season can dry up. God desires to move us out of complacent comfort and into His purpose. The prophet Elijah had to navigate a season of drought where sustenance was brought directly to him through food from the ravens and water from the brook (1 Kings 17:2-6). That season ended, and God was preparing to provide for Elijah another way. He led Elijah to minister to a widow who would provide for him Pastor Reggie Roberson Sunday July 9, 2023 Live at 9:15 AM

Many people would accept that Jesus was a good man and a great teacher. Many religious systems would accept that He was a prophet. But the identity of Jesus could never be truly accurate without the full acknowledgement that more than a good man and a respected prophet, He is the Son of God. Hershall, today we have a very gifted guest on the podcast. Pastor Donnie King is who I'm talking about... I know you thought it was the humble host that I was referring to... it was Rev. King. We recently met through a mutual friend and I have already gained such great respect for his knowledge in the Word of God. He talks to me today about the Bible as being a Marriage Covenant between God and mankind and he uses the Jewish wedding customs to prove his point. It was truly a great conversation. He even told us some things about the Old Testament prophet, Jonah, that are very interesting. I hope that the Word of God and his Love for all of us is opened up to everyone who listens today! We have a ministry of homes called Vatra Village in Moldova that rescues orphaned children from the risks of human trafficking. Once saved, they find the love of Jesus and go back out into the villages where they came from to minister to those families. Recently, the children at The Orphans Hands heard about a sick family whose father had passed away from cancer, a dying mother, leaving two children without hope. They were about to be kicked out of their home when our kids asked them if they could help. Today, we have a video that we would like to share with you, filmed and edited by the kids, about how your love and support start to open doors of redemption in these families' lives. For more information about The Orphans Hands, please visit us at www.theorphanshands.org. On Daily Faith today, our guest is Pastor Ed King. He is the founding pastor of Redemption Church in Knoxville, TN. He shares a passion for ministering to people about God's redemptive power. Our lives have been changed drastically due to the pandemic, and everything we knew, as usual, has been shaken. Knowledge has increased, and the state of fear in our country has become more intense. However, God is waiting to redeem you from your past misery and pain. He longs to commune with you, setting your feet on a solid foundation. Pastor King has a powerful word to share with you about what he believes is taking place in the world today and how God is looking for those who are ready for a great awakening. We believe that all of these past events that have taken place are getting us prepared to see a mighty move of the Holy Spirit sweep across the world.
