Browns insider Mary Kay Cabot joins Ken and Anthony to defend Catherine Hickman after the internet piled on the assistant GM over her wardrobe, calling the criticism flat-out unfair given her résumé and workload. She also weighs in on whether Dillon Gabriel's convenient-timing IR stint was as coincidental as it looked, and sides firmly with Todd Monken's decision not to let fan sentiment sway the Browns' quarterback call. Cabot rounds things out with an inside look at how Monken has handled his first-year pressures, from the Myles Garrett trade to the Deshaun Watson fallout.

Fresh off Emory Hunt's take, Ken and Anthony dig into the uncomfortable question hanging over the Browns' QB decision: is Deshaun Watson starting because he earned it, or because of his contract? The two get into why they're reluctant to call Shedeur Sanders a "gamer," why that word carries more baggage than people realize, and what it would actually mean if Todd Monken is deliberately starting the wrong guy. They also can't resist bringing Dillon Gabriel back into the conversation after his own preseason showing. It's a rare moment where Ken and Anthony don't fully agree with each other.

Ken Carman and Anthony Lima float a wrinkle on the quarterback drama, wondering if Todd Monken skips Shedeur Sanders altogether and instead swaps Deshaun Watson straight for Dillon Gabriel once his four-week IR stint ends, using Gabriel's familiarity with the offense as a bridge before Shedeur eventually takes over. They dig into the mechanics of Gabriel's 21-day practice window and needle each other over the suspicious timing of his back injury, joking that Watson could develop the same mysterious ailment. The guys also debate whether Watson's diminished scrambling ability makes his "bad back" excuse more believable than it first seemed.

Munaf Manji talks weekend action in the sports betting world. Munaf Manji opens a new season of the weekend rewind show solo on the Straight Outta Vegas AM feed, laying out the plan for a full week of football content, this rewind episode on Mondays once Uncle Dave joins him, a college football pod, a Wednesday preview show, a Thursday prop show with Sleepy, and a Friday picks show built on the injury report. At 2:47 he closes the book on preseason betting trends, underdogs went 23 and 9 and 1 against the spread through the first two weeks, a 72 percent clip, with road dogs posting a 42 and 1 mark, numbers worth watching into Week One. The headline news arrives at 5:04, Aaron Donald is officially coming out of retirement to rejoin the Los Angeles Rams on a one year deal worth twenty million dollars, with playoff incentives pushing the total as high as thirty million. Donald joins a front that already added Myles Garrett in a blockbuster trade with Cleveland, and Munaf breaks down how dominant that pairing could become, while expecting Donald's snap count to build gradually as he shakes off the rust. At 7:51 the Rams sit at five to one to win the Super Bowl on DraftKings with no other team shorter than ten to one, and Munaf cites a Yahoo Sports stat that teams which opened as favorites at plus 500 or better have gone zero for 20 all time, asking whether this roster could break that trend. At 9:08 he adds the Trent McDuffie trade from Kansas City and a look at how a stronger defense could shift Los Angeles toward lower scoring games built around Matthew Stafford, Puka Nacua, Davante Adams, and Kyren Williams. At 11:41 the show turns to a more serious story, Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs has been placed on the Commissioner's Exempt List ahead of a court appearance on November 17, with Munaf estimating a possible suspension in the four to six game range. At 12:48 he connects that news to the Packers trading for running back Kaleb Johnson from the Steelers, a move he reads as Green Bay preparing for time without Jacobs and potentially leaning more on Jordan Love. From 14:20 onward, the show becomes a rapid tour of final roster cuts, Trevon Diggs released by Seattle but likely practice squad bound, Anthony Richardson and J.J. McCarthy surviving their initial rosters, and Titans wide receiver Xavier Restrepo earning a fantasy shoutout behind Calvin Ridley and rookie Carnell Tate. At 16:07 the Giants keep Darius Slayton and Odell Beckham Jr. while moving on from Jalin Hyatt, with Beckham's comments about bringing a championship back to New York getting a mention. At 16:53 Cleveland's quarterback carousel takes center stage, Dillon Gabriel making the roster, Deshaun Watson holding the starting job, Shedeur Sanders waiting in the wings, and Taylen Green turning heads late. At 17:53 he runs through players opening the year on injured reserve or the PUP list, Micah Parsons, James Conner, Isaac Guerendo, and Kerby Joseph among them, along with the release of Titans quarterback Will Levis. At 19:59, Bears wide receiver Luther Burden III has been cleared by head coach Ben Johnson and is expected ready for Week One despite a groin injury. After a mention of his appearance on RJ Bell's Dream Preview podcast at 21:31, Munaf lands on his best bet of the show. At 23:02 he builds the pick around a quote from Ben Johnson, who said this offseason he wants Chicago to be the highest scoring offense in NFL history, a comment Munaf says grabbed his attention given what Johnson built previously with Jared Goff in Detroit. At 24:20 he lands on Caleb Williams' season long passing yards prop, the number sitting at 3,649.5 on DraftKings but a better line at 3,600.5 on BetMGM. Williams threw for 3,942 yards, 27 touchdowns, and seven interceptions in year one under Johnson while playing all 17 games in each of his first two seasons, and Munaf likes him to clear the number in a more explosive year two offense. The episode closes with a look ahead to next week, when Uncle Dave joins Munaf for the first full regular season show, previewing the opener including the Super Bowl rematch and the international matchup between the 49ers and Rams in Australia, ahead of the Friday picks show heading into Week One. The Steelers, along with the rest of the NFL, unveiled their 53-man roster yesterday at 6 pm. What were the big takeaways? Every single rookie made the team, including Eli Heidenreich. There were no Steelers claimed off waivers as of 2 pm today. ESPN says it's a bad team. Do you agree? It feels like a squad that is headed for a similar destination, but perhaps not the division title they scored in 2025. To little surprise, the Steelers did decide to keep 4 QBs. The Steelers are 1 of 4 teams that decided to keep 4 QBs. The Browns did as well, but put Dillon Gabriel on IR. Former Steeler Trai Essex joined the show. The Steelers traded Broderick Jones over the weekend. What went so wrong in his career in Pittsburgh? Trai moved all around the offensive line during his time as a Steeler, but said it's not something everyone can just do. How much impact did the injury last season play on his future with the team? Trai talked about Jones claiming to weigh around 300 pounds entering camp, but Trai said Jones didn't really have the body type to easily put on weight during the season. What went wrong with Kaleb Johnson? Trai was intrigued when the Steelers drafted him and was a little surprised by his lack of burst at the NFL level. Trai said Max Iheanachor ‘has to start' the regular season as the team's right tackle. Even though Max has missed some time, Trai thinks a good set of practices could see the Steelers 1st round pick starting against the Falcons. The guys wanted Trai's take on Daejon Love – the man that scammed women all over the US acting as a 49ers WR.

Former NFL GM Mike Tannenbaum joins Ken and Anthony and admits he would not have picked Deshaun Watson to start, while explaining why he still trusts Todd Monken's read on the situation. Tannenbaum breaks down why he'd never trade Shedeur Sanders, calls Dillon Gabriel's Thursday game a big audition, and drops the line that the NFL is "a ruthless meritocracy," a phrase Ken immediately pushes back on. After the interview, Ken and Anthony debate whether fans will actually boo Watson at home if the Browns somehow start 2-0, and Ken can't even remember any of Watson's supposedly good performances over the last five years.

Mary Kay Cabot joined Baskin and Phelps to share her take on the Browns naming Deshaun Watson as the starting quarterback and why she thinks the Browns view him as more week 1 ready than Shedeur Sanders. She explained what Shedeur needs to work on in order for the team to feel confident he can start, why she thinks Watson is still shaking off rust, and why Dillon Gabriel was not officially a part of the QB competition.
