Toward the end of the year, we will be starting a second podcast called Hoosier Casefile, where we will discuss True Crime from the state of Indiana. On Saturday, July 2, 1966, three young women went missing from the Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore in Porter Indiana. What happened to Patricia Blough, Ann Miller, and Renee Bruhl? 57 years later, there are more questions than answers to this mystery that still plagues Northwest Indiana.
This episode is our first foray into Indiana. (Part 2/2) July 2, 1966. Porter County, Indiana. 21-year old Ann Miller, 19-year old Patricia Blough and 19-year old Renee Bruhl leave their homes in Illinois in order to travel to the Indiana Dunes State Park. After taking a spot on the beach next to Lake Michigan, the three women venture into the water, leaving all of their belongings behind. Eyewitnesses would recall seeing them climb into a boat with an unidentified man before they vanished without a trace and there would be a number of different theories about why they went missing. Did the women take off voluntarily? Were they murdered over possible connections to notorious criminal Silas Jayne and his “horse syndicate”? Could their disappearance have been the result of an illegal abortion gone wrong? On this week's episode of “The Path Went Chilly”, we shall explore the truly baffling disappearance of the “Indiana Dunes Women”. Anna Marie Arguello: Anna Arguello was last seen in her home in Frankfort Indiana sometime in the winter of 1969 or 1970 when she was around 2 years old. Police were unaware of Anna's disappearance until her sister Margarita came to them in the fall of 1992. Margarita stated that her mother Anita had severely beaten Anna, deprived her of food, forced her to take a bath in cold water, and held her head under the water until she drowned. Anna's stepfather Luis is said to have buried her body somewhere after he came home from work. Anna is Native American with dark brown hair and brown eyes. At the time of her disappearance, Anna had a full set of teeth, but her height and weight are unknown. She is assumed to be deceased, but her body has never been found. Her case is classified as endangered missing. If you have any information regarding the disappearance of Anna Marie Arguello, please contact the Clinton County Sheriff's office at 765-659-6396. Renee Bruhl, Ann Miller, & Patricia Blough: Renee Bruhl, Ann Miller, and Patricia Blough were last seen on July 2, 1966 at Indiana Dunes State Park in Indiana. There are multiple accounts of them being seen climbing on board 2 different boats. Renee Bruhl was 19 years old when she disappeared and was last seen wearing a brown swimsuit with a pattern of green flowers and gold leaves on it. She is a Caucasian female with brown hair and hazel eyes. She was 5'9 and weighed somewhere between 120-150lbs. Renee's maiden name is Slunecko. Ann Miller was 21 years old when she disappeared and was last seen wearing a blue two piece bathing suit with a red belt. She is a Caucasian female with brown hair and blue eyes. She was 5'2 and her weight at the time is unknown. It is possible that Ann was 3 months pregnant when she disappeared, but this has never been confirmed. Patricia Blough was 19 years old when she disappeared and was last seen wearing a bright yellow bikini with ruffles. She is a Caucasian female with brown hair and brown eyes. She was 5'4 and weighed around 115lbs. She went by the nickname Patty. It is possible that Patricia was also pregnant at this time, but this has also never been confirmed. Their cases are classified as Endangered Missing. If you have any information regarding the disappearances of Renee Bruhl, Ann Miller, and Patricia Blough, please contact the Indiana State Police at (219)-269-4747. SHOUTOUT TO EVIL PUDDING PODCAST! Today: We have two conversations about highway projects around northwest Indiana this construction season. Indiana Department of Transportation LaPorte District spokesperson Cassy Bajek reviews the area's transportation projects and Porter County highway superintendent Jim Polarek looks at the local projects. Indiana Dunes Hiking's Ron Seman tells us about the first of (what the group hopes) will be more "veterans' hikes," this weekend at Indiana Dunes State Park. PTSD affects many veterans, and the disorder can lead to anxiety and even to attempts of suicide. So Seman says getting veterans, their family, their friends, and all veterans group supporters outdoors will make a difference.

Tori leads off with the info of who bought the transaxle of Little Bastard and then actually tells the story of a haunted painting. Bill Stoneham's painting The Hands Resist Him came to be known as the most haunted painting on EBay. All of the paintings in this series all rock a very creepy vibe. ZB tried to get hold of this painting and failed but did commission Bill Stoneham to paint him another in the series. The Hands Invent Him has it's place in the Haunted Museum in Vegas now. Take our word on it, Google that shit. Krysti covers two of the ghost towns that are left in Indiana. Hindustan Falls is the first that she covers which is along the White River. This city was the victim of some sort of plague and the town was desolate by the 1950. Tremont is the next that she covers. This is in the Indiana Dunes State Park area up on the shores of Lake Michigan. This city has been replaced by a beach and a bathing pavilion. Ghost stories abound as we break into spooky season. The tale of the transparent toddler from the 1920s was a ghost story from brown county and then onto James Jenkins ghost story. Jenkins was one of Dillinger's boys and was one of friends from the inside that showed up to break Dillinger out of jail. Jenkins was apparently a bad dude and died badly as well. Tori wraps it up the Edna Collings Bridge in Putnam County and it's little girl ghost. On July 2nd,1966, 3 young suburban Chicago women drove to a popular beach south of Chicago on Lake Michigan, parked their car, and walked to a spot on the beach at Indiana Dunes State Park. They were last seen getting on a boat with 3 men- and from there they disappeared, never to be seen again. Their blankets and personal effects were all left behind. A huge manhunt ensued. Detectives were left without a shred of evidence- despite lots of clues to their private lives and their associates. Someone, somewhere knows something- and it is hoped even today that a clue will reveal itself so friends and family can get some closure. 1001 History Challenge RSS Feed: https://feeds.megaphone.fm/ADL9898865211 Support our show and checkout www.simplisafe.com/1001! The RV Lifestyle is wonderful, no doubt about it. So wonderful that seemingly wherever you turn these days, people are saying to really experience it you should be a fulltimer. That may be great for many… but it is not so great for many more. This week, we talk about what they DON’T tell you about fulltiming. Coming up in the interview of the week, you’ll meet our friends Marc and Julie Bennett, known as RV Love… and we’ll have a candid conversation about just why the fulltime RV life is NOT for everyone. Show Notes for Episode #253 July 31, 2019 of The RV Podcast; WHAT MIKE AND JENNIFER ARE UP TO THIS WEEK This has been a special week for us as we’ve just released the fifth in our series of Seven Day Adventure Guides for RVers. This one is our Seven Day Adventure Guide to the Adirondacks, and it is 96 pages long and jammed packed with places to go and things to see in this amazing park. The Adirondacks is a truly special place. It is greater in size than Yellowstone, Everglades, Glacier, and Grand Canyon National Parks combined. Created by New York in 1892, it is a constitutionally protected “Forever Wild” area and contains 85% of all wilderness in the eastern United States. We provide a suggested route and itinerary, links to multiple campgrounds and boondocking spots, and the best spots to see along the way. You can get more info on it at https://rvlifestyle.com/adk It’s been a busy week of RV mods and adding some accessories and gadgets. We're headed to Holland MI to even do some more at an RV dealer there. After Holland we’re headed to Lake Erie and Lakeside Chatauqua, an awesome resort and summer gathering place. Then we’re heading to the Cuyahoga Valley National Park, south of Cleveland. We also want to give a shoutout to our reviewer of the week…Elf1 who left us this wonderful five-star review on iTunes: “Love this podcast. Mike and Jennifer provide a lot of entertainment and information. Don't know how I missed finding this podcast earlier. Very useful information no matter what type of RV you have or like me are thinking of buying. Thanks so much for taking the time to produce such a fine podcast.” Thank you, Elf1. We so appreciate those kind words and your review. And we invite you dear listener, to do the same. Please leave us a review and a rating on iTunes or Sticker or whatever app you listen to us on. We so appreciate the feedback and we read every one! RV LIFESTYLE NEWS OF THE WEEK JENNIFER National Park Rangers spend most of their time managing traffic, making speeding stops, story says Another interesting story on America's National Parks came out in USA Today last week, this one showing park rangers spend more time managing traffic and specifically making speeding stops than any other activity. The reason they do this is speeding kills wildlife, and many tourists in the national parks speed, putting wildlife at risk. Also car crashes are one of the leading causes of human death in the parks. So if you try to speed this summer in a national park, don't be surprised if you get a ticket! MIKE High water levels leading to increase in drownings this summer in Lake Michigan In the past week-plus I've seen news stories of at least five drownings in Lake Michigan, often visitors to state parks, enjoying time outdoors with their families, when a dip in the water turns tragic. This weekend there was a story of a man who drowned near Michigan's Holland State Park, another in Indiana Dunes State Park, another at Michigan's Ludington State Park, and a man and a 14 year old girl also drowned near Ludington State park in separate incidents a week before that. I don't know if I can recall hearing about so many drownings in such a short period of time. Water levels are reported to be high, creating hazardous conditions. Lake Michigan touts some of the country's most gorgeous fresh water beaches. If you are out camping this summer along Lake Michigan,
Welcome back to Death by Champagne, the podcast here to keep you up at night! This week we bring you lots of screaming, an Ariana Grande concert tale worthy of a twitter discussion, and two mysterious/unsolved disappearances/deaths. Mack covers the disappearance of Renee Bruhl, Patricia Blough, and Ann Miller from the Indiana Dunes State Park. Liv dives into the theories surrounding Edgar Allan Poe’s strange death. This episode contains foul language, sensitive discussions about murder, addictions, and abortions. We also get a bit screechy, my apologies in advance for the outbursts, but I think you’ll understand why. We’ll do our best to stay on track, but the bottles are popped!
In the summer of 1966, by the shores of Lake Michigan, three young women visit Indiana Dunes State Park over the 4th of July weekend. They stretched out their towels on the sand, suntan lotions and personal items on the packed shore. At one point, they are seen talking to a young man. They are never seen again. They left behind their belongings on the beach along with a lot of questions. Liz from Perhaps It's You podcast guest co-hosted on this podcast.
