This week on Geek Freaks, Frank, Squeaks, and Jonathan cover the biggest geek headlines, starting with the Avengers: Doomsday casting news that broke the internet. We talk returning X-Men legends, unexpected MCU absences, and speculate on what's ahead in Secret Wars. Plus, we dissect the Andor Season 2 final trailer, the rise of AI-generated trailers (and the ethics behind them), new Last Airbender casting updates, Legend of Zelda live-action film plans, and a surprise review of Disney's new Snow White. It's a jam-packed episode of opinions, hype, and geeky goodness! Timestamps and Topics: 00:00 Introduction and recap of our Holland, Michigan screening with Nicole Kidman 01:52 Upcoming convention plans on April 5th (Rancho Cordova City Hall) 03:13 Avengers: Doomsday casting revealed — live stream record broken 04:30 Classic X-Men cast returns, Fantastic Four confirmed, surprise omissions 06:10 Spider-Man 4 set during Doomsday and multiverse crossover talk 07:11 Robert Downey Jr. rumored as Doom — will he stick around? 09:12 What about Doom vs. Thanos? The livestream announcing the cast shattered records with over 250 million viewers. Fans speculate RDJ as Doom is a one-time appearance to set up God Emperor Doom for Secret Wars. Andor Season 2 is maintaining its serious, grounded tone, building up to Rogue One beautifully. The ethics of AI-generated trailers are increasingly blurry, especially when studios start profiting off them. Jonathan was pleasantly surprised by Snow White despite online negativity—highlighting its stronger romance arc and musical charm. Memorable Quotes:

“The king shall have joy in Your strength, O LORD; And in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice! You have given him his heart's desire, And have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah For You meet him with the blessings of goodness; You set a crown of pure gold upon his head. He asked life from You, and You gave it to him-- Length of days forever and ever. His glory is great in Your salvation; Honor and majesty You have placed upon him. For You have made him most blessed forever; You have made him exceedingly glad with Your presence. For the king trusts in the LORD, And through the mercy of the Most High he shall not be moved.”   I am so thankful for all my friends and everyone who takes the time to be a part of these Pastor Chats each day. I do trust that the Lord is using them to encourage you, and helping you to begin your day with seeking Him, and to enjoy a “quiet time” of devotion from the Word.  I know I've said it before, but as I prepare and do these chats, I am learning so much more myself from the Bible that my heart is blessed and strengthened.  So again, thank you so much from the depths of my heart!   The Book of Psalms is the largest book in the Bible with 150 chapters. The longest chapters in the Bible are found in this book. We know that David wrote at least 75 of the Psalms.  We will find that there is a tremendous amount of repetition of prayers, praises and petitions in the Psalms. You will soon feel like you are reading the same thing over and over again, and you are!  There must be a reason the Holy Spirit inspired the writers to repeat the same prayers and praise so often.  The obvious reason is that we need to be reminded to both pray for help, and praise the Lord as He responds to our prayers and gives us victory and deliverance!   I read at least 5 Psalms every day.  I have read through the Psalms numerous times out loud with my staff at all three churches I have pastored.  I have read through the Psalm numerous times in my every Saturday morning men's prayer meetings over the past 35 years.  I remember that when I taught the Bible classes in our Christian schools, in both Winchester Virginia and Holland Michigan, that I had the students read 5 Psalms out loud with me. The Psalms never grow old and seem to be as fresh and encouraging as if I've never read them before!  What an amazing Book!!!!   I said all that because I'm afraid you might start thinking, “Goodness, Pastor Mike has already said that before!”  And no doubt, I'm sure I did.  But I think we will both be blessed as we hear it again and again over these next several months, as it is my intention to read the entire book aloud with you on these chats before we are through with this study on Psalms.   Psalm 21 is a sequel to Psalm 20.  These two Psalms go together.  Both were written by David as we learn from the inscription and title.  Psalm 20 is a prayer before the battle. Psalm 21 is a praise after the battle. David and his people had prayed for specific blessings and God had granted them. The hymn opens and closes with praise for God's strength granted to His king and the army (vv. 1, 13). Answered prayer should always be acknowledged by fervent praise.   In this wonderful praise hymn we will see: In verses 1-7, David and the people look back over past victories and deliverance and celebrate with praise. In verses 8-12, David and his people look ahead and anticipate future victories. And In verse 13, they look up and exalt the Lord for His strength and power!   May God give us the grace to always acknowledge Him for His daily blessings in our lives!   God bless!

Her mom, Doreen, a 79-year-old beautiful British (and also American) soul who has Alzheimer's disease got Covid and was hospitalized. It was very traumatic for Doreen and for Cathrine and her sister Wendy too.  She is ok. Doreen got out of the hospital yesterday and is staying with Cathrine and her husband Kenny until she recovers enough to go back to Wendy's. And now.....Cat has Covid too. Dang Covid. I'm sure we are all sick of it. Literally. This week's episode is short and sweet. We had to use some "new to us" tech and I thought I was capturing video too, but that didn't work. At least we have some audio. Cat explains just how tough it was for her mom. She was scared, confused, frustrated, tired, and on top of all of that she had Covid. Booooo. Friends, if any of you are going through a health journey with an elderly loved one, our hearts go out to you all. I've been there with my dad prior to his death in 2019 and with my mom 30 years ago. She wasn't elderly, but the whole process was just hard. Just know that we love you all. We believe in Jesus and kindness. Let's go spread some. Keep Doreen in your prayers as she gets her strength back up. Pray for Cat as she cares for her.  Love, Tracy and Cathrine P.S. Cat had to GO cuz Doreen had to GO. ;0) So we closed in a rush. Sorry. Hello to you listening in Holland, Michigan!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Time Out Tuesday and your host, Diane Wyzga  All great stories start with simple words. For example:“Here is a small fact. You are going to die.” [The Book Thief by Markus Zusak]“It was a bright cold day in April, and the clocks were striking thirteen.” [1984 by George Orwell]“This is the story of a man named Eddie and it starts at the end, with Eddie dying in the sun. It may seem strange to start a story with an ending, but all endings are also beginnings. We just don't know it at the time.” [The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom]What's happening here? It could be the “sorcery of stories.” Practically speaking it's how each writer imagined a scene, combined the words - simple words - and made their story one of a kind.Practical Tip: Sit yourself in a comfortable spot with some blank pieces of paper and a few colored markers. Breathe, gaze off into space, imagine a scene. With all the intention of a playful experiment begin to doodle with simple word images to start your great story with that scene. And, if you would like a hand up to clarify your ideas and language, signal me. Welcome to this week's exciting episode of BM. Jenn and Katie start off the show by ignoring their male counterparts and with no guest in the HotSeat™ this week, we're back to basics - the fundamentals of the show if you will. We discuss being old and injured for no apparent reason, messy bedrooms, tripping at Menards and the demolition derby (by the derby, for the derby). Cars caught on fire and someone viewed our livestream. Jenn would rather be an alive loser than a dead winner. Katie wanted to win a carnie prize at the carnival but figured out how the carnies were cheating people out of their money. She decided to get a fresh squeezed lemonade instead which makes you a winner every time. Jenn talks about showing off her assets when she had braces, Edward talks about the scenery at the County Fair brought to you by the County Fair and Luke fills us in on his weekend looking through vintage postcards in Holland (Michigan)with Yen. Katie doesn't like antique malls and is actively trying to stop buying more crap for her house (except for plants and legos and animals). This week's anti-game is Jenn's getting-to-know-you activity from a card game she found so Belgium guy and the people of Ashburn can get to know us better (shout out to Ashburn).      Slam the Gavel welcomes John Sullivan back to the podcast. He was last on the podcast January 2nd, 2023 Season 4, Episode 2 and 18. John is from Holland, Michigan with a story about CPS "workers," that have falsified court documents against him. However, court system employees in Holland, Michigan allowed this to happen and continue for well over a two-year investigation. He doesn't know where his children are.    It all began with the children's Mother and numerous CPS agencies from other counties that have ties in Michigan also. John was never living with the Mother nor where they ever married. Suddenly, John has CPS at his door the day they took the kids away from their Mother on May 20th, 2022.    This was the first time EVER KNOWING anything about the whole investigation about the children's Mother and  the CPS "workers" tell John that his children were homeless and living in the streets with their Mother. John WAS NEVER contacted throughout any of this when they showed up on May 20th, 2022, saying they took the children and placed them in two Foster Care homes.      Now CPS has placed the same charges on him as the Mother and now John pays Child Support on his children that SHOULD BE with him in the first place.     The Child Support comes out John's Disability check every month and THEY TAKE HALF. He should have his children but is being railroaded by the system.    However, the same building that John was trying to get answers from when he started questioning these people is the same building that has been all over the news for transparency towards people of color in the community. The Ottawa County DHS office has come under fire and judge has sanctioned this court system due to lawyers that have been falsifying records for the people that work in the DHS office. The  Ottawa Board of Commissioners that represent the DHS office have been fighting against one another because board members are coming out talking about transparency and racial issues. The building is funded by a far-rights group called Ottawa Impact, who provide all the funding. However, when board members spoke up about corruption and not being able to do their job in the community, then the lawsuits began.    We discussed an article written in The Holland Sentinel by Sarah Leach which explained how a judge granted Ottawa County's health officer a temporary restraining order, to prevent Ottawa Impact county commissioners from removing her from her position. There was much news coverage on this topic. John himself needs news coverage.   John NEEDS justice. He sees how corrupt the building is, the court system and the community and no one wants to talk about this.
